Default Signs of Labor

I thought I would post this here so it doesn't get lost. Also, would love to know for those who have children how many of these signs happened to you.

6 signs of preliminary labor and you will most likely deliver with-in two weeks

1) If you get Braxton Hicks contractions change your activity. If they stop not a sign, if they don't it is.

2) Two weeks prior to labor your weight will stabilize and you will stop gaining

3) Baby drops and engages. You will breathe easier and urinate more

4) Burst of energy/ nesting that will last 2 days

5) More vaginal discharge

6) Night before labor go bm A LOT or diarrhea

3 signs of actual labor

1) Lose mucus plug but also have a pink or red spotting (bloody show)

2) Water Breaks or a constant Trickle

3) Contractions evenly apart, start to start for 1 hour

I had all of the signs except for the baby dropping because I carried really low with both of them.

Had to say that I remembered that I didnt have the water break either. Morgan was born still inside the bag.

I didn't have any symptoms. With my first my water broke and I went to the hospital and they had to induce labor because I wasn't contracting on my own. With my second I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks and was put on bedrest and medication to stop labor. At 32 1/2 weeks my water broke and I was admitted to the hospital for antibiotics, steroids and bedrest. I went into labor at 33.4 weeks and delivered a healthy baby girl.

I had all of them except my water broke when I was already in labor in the hospital. For me the big sign was the mucus plug. I lost it in the AM had my regular appt with my doctor got checked but I was at 3cm for the last 3 weeks and had not changed. I had contractions all day and give birth that night past midnight.

Lisa that is trippy that your daughter was still born in the bag.

Lisa, I had that happen w/ my first. DH freaked out and thought she was some sort of pod person! Ha ha.

Two days before I delivered, I was contracting severely and had diarrhea, then it all stopped by that night. I couldn't tell if I dropped as I was carrying VERY low. Two days later, my water broke and they had to induce labor when no contractions came. Isn't that funny? I'd had contractions and threatened pre-term labor since 22 weeks, and I couldn't get a contraction at the end to save my life...err...baby's life--ended up with a c-section when her heart rate dropped and my blood pressure sky rocketed.

The night I had delivered DD, I had diarrhea all night long, but figured it was from the mexican food I had. I had lower back cramps that would tighten up really bad, then I knew the diarrhea was coming shortly after the back cramps. Well, My ex decided to call the nurse and come to find out, I was actually in labor. 21 hours later, I had DD.

It's normal too to NOT drop a week or two before delivering, but during, after your first baby. Something about your body knowing what to do and all that stuff frequently happens at the same time after the first one?

LMAO @ renee and 'can't stop peeing'.

The night before I went into labour I had diarrhea. The day I went into labour I had some discomfort in my lower back and that night my contractions started, I had bleeding later also. ( My water didnt break either. ) I went like this for the full day and had dd the following morning.

I had the big D & flu-like symptoms on a Sat & was in bed all day long. More big D on Sunday, and some lower back cramps that night. My water broke Wed AM @ 1:45. No contractions until pitocin.

I don't remember the burst of energy, but I did straighten up the house before we left for the hospital b/c I knew my parents would be coming in & staying there.
