Thanks Rebecca and Lisa! The only reason I wanted the pond out is our inspector (when we bought the house) said the previous owner had built it too close to the foundation. Also, the previous owner built it himself, so there are a couple of places that don't look real professional, like where concrete is showing. It does have a waterfall though.

Rebecca - I have more lilly pads than what is shown in the picture now, b/c the pic is about a month old. But that flower bloom is the ONLY one I have popped up. I want to see pics of yours too!

Kayla - nice pics!! That's some big horses! Love your pond! My mom has one with a fountain in it..her back yard happens to be my front yard so I get to see all the pretty stuff she plants and all. She planted me some Cala Lillies next to my front steps. I love them!

Kayla - Here are my pond pics. I haven't finished it yet. I'm going to move some of those rocks around and plant flowers.

Oh Rebecca it is beautiful! I LOVE the fountains/falls/and lights! Do you have any fish in there?

We have 1 fish the previous owners left, and now a frog (who is pretty brave btw) who stays in there.

Thanks Kayla! I'm happy with the way it turned out. We ended up digging and moving things a few times before it all came together. We have three fish. One of them is 4 years old (you can see him in the picture of the top view. He's in the main pond by the fountain). The others we just got a couple weeks ago. They were such a pain in the old pond. We got fish lice. It was so gross. I think it was from the birds that drowned in there (trying to get a drink in the hot summer days). I hope we don't have to go through that again. We did have a frog for a couple years, too. He just showed up one day. He left last year. I called him Chim Chim. I miss him. He was really cute.

Rebecca, I love that pond! That would be so great to sit by at night with a glass of wine. Does Tehva try to get in?

Fortunately, the fence is at the edge of the porch, so no, she's not around it. Though, when she is out there, she doesn't bother with it. Last summer when she was really little, she fell into the neighbor's pond. I think she's scarred!

I haven't had a glass of wine by it yet, but I do drink my coffee out there in the mornings.

Betsy - Koi are nice, but they're extremely expensive just to buy one that's 5 or 6 inches long (we're talking like $70 each). I like my little shubunkins! They look like koi but aren't as agressive or expensive!

I don't know what kind of fish I have, I think just a gold fish. It is like 6 inches long. I don't like it though, it's not friendly AT ALL. I have even fed it some of my turtle's food (yeah, I have a pet turtle I've had since age 5 ) and it won't even come up to eat while I'm around.

Kayla - He'll get used to you. Give him some time. My fish don't even swim out of the way when I stick my arm in there to do something. They have even come to the surface when they see me, knowing that they're going to get food - beggars!

Well, I was bored today so I video taped the dogs and my belly at 5wk2d. Pretty boring, but I love my pooches and thought you guys would too.

Kayla~ Your dogs seem like so much fun. The white dog looks like she's going super fast even when she's at a stand still

You are so skinny and pretty. I bet you're going to be one of those girls that doesn't gain weight anywhere but your belly

Thanks girls! Gina I hope I only gain in the belly. The white/tan dog is MY BABY. She is a whippet, which is the fastest of the medium sized breeds. They are supposed to clock around 35 mph and I believe it. She is like LIGHTNING! She was very clingy today.
