Thanks girls, I will go fix the ticker. Here is the pic. I posted it on the baby side. I have done a lot of research and spoken with my friend who is also a pedi and they said the vaccines should not have had an impact on the penicillin. His ears were clear and he had no fever when we went or they wouldn't have given them to him. Anyways, glad it was just a rash and not a throat closing type allergy!

This pic is terrible bc I don't have flash on my vid camera and that's all I had handy.

Oh Christie poor little guy. I am so glad it happened after his birthday.

Kelly - Sorry your so nervous about it. Just think now you don't have to worry about a break out of MMR or chicken pox. When we had the measles break out in town I was worried our play group might get it.

Christie~ That does look a lot like Jaicee's rash. Her bumps were a LOT smaller, though. And they were EVERYWHERE. Even on the pads of her feet and her palms. Did it clear up quickly?

Kelly~ I'm a nervous wreck about giving Jaicee the MMR. I think we will wait for 18 months for that.

Kelly - don't stress momma

Rhylee did great with all of hers, we didn't delay them any. She didn't run a fever or anything. I think she had a little red knot at the injection site, but that's so common.

I am not planning on delaying Katie's 1 year shots at all. She has done perfectly well with the others, so I have no reason to worry about this one.

Kelly - Hugs sweetie!!

Christie - Aw, poor boy! I'm glad the reaction wasn't too bad, and now you know about the allergy for the future!

Thanks Cassie, Laura, Mere, Jenna.

Jenna - I was going to delay 'til 15 months or so, but DH pointed out that doing them now, I am home w/ her to see how she reacts and notice if anything is different. At 15 or 18 months, she will be starting/in daycare and I won't be able to keep a close eye on her. That's why I didn't delay. I also considered doing the MMR as 3 separate shots for a long time, but then I would just be scared/nervous 3 times instead of one.

Christie- Aww..Poor baby

My girls go tomorrow for their 4 yr old shots. They've never had problems with any of their others, so I'm not worried.

Did I mention that I wanted Hannah to sleep in our room after her shots? I've had her do that after all her shots - well she is so stinkin' independent that she was NOT going to let that happen. After 3 hours of trying to get her to sleep in her playpen in our room and then in bed w/ me, I had to just put her in her own bed, and of course she went right to sleep - vacation should be interesting.

I'm worried too about how Avery will sleep in the hotel room with us, or even on the plane. She just loves her crib!

We also haven't delayed any of Avery's shots.

BTW, did anyone read the in Parents magazine on vaccinations?? The topic really seems to be getting a lot of attention these days.

No I sure didn't read it. I'll have to check it out.

Bina we are currenly looking at condos instead of regular hotels that way we can put her in a seperate room, she does much better that way, even if it is in her pack-n-play.

I thought this was interesting. Evidently Amanda Peet made a negative comment about parents who don't vaccinate which I am not endorsing, but I REALLY like her response. Thought yall might like it too.

Christie, I think her apology was well thought out and articulate, but I am so put off by her first interview and the reason she had to apologize that I wont watch her movies anymore. I am a mom that stuggles daily with my decision, and she is SO judgemental to say that people are "parasites" As a mom she should know that so many parents make the choices that we feel are best for our children and our families so how can any of us judge the other moms. If we all started judging other moms choices than every mom that formula feeds could be called a name, just as a BFing mom could be called a name. Mommies that give passi's could be called a name too. I am just really upset that she was so judgemental in public. I hope in the future she doesnt do something that someone could perseive as a bad parenting choice because she may feel that judgement come back on her 10 fold

Christie ~ I also like her response, especially the last paragraph. Thank you for posting that. BTW I just scheduled Ashlyn's next doc appt today with a new pediatrician (she'll be due for her shots). I hope we like her, we've gotten lots of referrals so *fingers crossed*!

Lisa- I haven't even read her original comments, I only read the response. Like I said before I don't support any of her criticisms, I just liked her words about research and focusing on finding cures. Parenting is all about choices.
