Laura - It's hard I know, we are such a large group and big topics like this tend to get hairy. I don't think comments like that should be made either, seperate thread or not. This board keeps getting broken down more and more each day. It's really sad. We are not poisoning our children. Vaccinations have been around for a REALLY long time and guess what...or country doesn't deal with the amount of disease they did along time ago...not because it dissappeard, but because the medicines are helping to keep in under wraps.

This year there has been 131 cases of measles and I am scared it will just get worse every year. It is too bad that is spreading to vaccinated and non-vaccinated children. I don't want any child to have that. As far as I am concerned 131 children with measles in the US is 131 to many. Did you know that 250,000 people died from measles every year.

Laura - at least you have taken some precaution, you know the vacc. may not work on EVERY child, but better safe than sorry right! You do what you can!

I'm sorry that you girls are feeling hurt by what was said in the other thread. This is such a sensitive issue, because there is no "right" answer. We all have to do what we think is best, and respect each other's choices. I hope we can all support each other.

Cassie-I agree about the disagreements being sad. I hope that whatever is going on with the board will pass and we can all come together again.

Cassie~ Jaicee's shots went well! She cried for about a minute, and then we gave her a dumdum and she was happy as can be. She's walking around just fine this morning and not acting like she's in any pain, so that's good! I don't think I want to go read the other thread. I'd rather not know if something sad is happening. This place is my little piece of heaven, and I want to keep it that way!

It is really weird, yesterday must have been "drama" day or something. First all the stuff on this board, then I get an email from my meetup group saying one of the assistant organizers has been "removed" from the group because of some "issues", and then there are emails flying back at forth at work because one of the higher ups sent a political email everyone!

How sad guys. I am sorry about what has happened around here the last few days. I don't post as often as I would like but I wish I wouldn't have popped into the non vax thread as well. It made me feel pretty crappy so I understand why the girls need to step back. It's a shame that people don't understand how badly they can make other feel by the words they choose. (((hugs))))
