Stephanie - My Dh's employer pays for everyone to get a flu shot, too, and he also thought it was a ridiculous idea and never gets one. He also never gets the flu, but others who get the shot at his work end up with the flu. They try to rationalize it by saying how much worse it would have been without the shot, but more than likely they wouldn't have gotten sick at all if they hadn't gotten the shot.

Kristy - Thanks for posting that article. I have read it before and it was good to read it again. It's so encouraging and lets me know I am making the right decision not to vaccinate Liam. I hope you are able to make the decision as to what is right for Jack soon, too. I know it is frustrating to be undecided about something as serious as this.

The bank pays for flu shots, too. My department is right outside the big conference room where they do all of the shots/blood drives/health screenings etc. Last year, I was amazed at the lines of people waiting for a stupid flu shot. We have about 900 employees in my building, too. One of my employees had to take several days off because his son go so sick after the flu shot and many adults who got it ended up sick, too. Not me! I've never had one and I'm never getting one!

Rebecca, wow is all I can say. Yesterday I went and bought 2 books, Vaccines Are They Really Safe and Effective by Neil Z. Miller and What About Immunizations? Exposing The Vaccine Philosophy by Cynthia Cournoyer. I have read about 1/2 of the book by Neil Z. Miller and I encourage any parent that is vaccinating their child to at least educate themself on the matter. It is quite interesting.

This is the link to the VAERS database that shows all vaccine reactions documented by physicians. For those parents that are choosing to vaccinate you can check and make sure the lot number has not been reported as a "hot vial" prior to your child getting the vaccine.

Kristy- Thanks for that link!! The sad part is only 10% of the reactions actually get reported. Tammy's doctor brushed it off and so did my nephew's doctor and my friend's doctor and both their boys ended up with Autism.

Judith I just finished Vaccines Are They Really Sate and Effective and it was very informative. I encourage everyone to read a book on vaccines before they make a decision to vaccinate or not. I wish I had been informed sooner.

It did help reading the book, but a part of me still wonders if it is true or just people taking it to an extreme. It makes since, it adds up but the fear of not vaccinating and my child getting a disease that isn't common anymore and a doctor that doesn't know how to treat it is just as scary. I guess if the information wasn't true the wouldn't have been able to publish the book

Hello Oilers,Can anyone tell me if vaccinations for babies and children still have mercury in them? I was telling my cousing, and she said that she had heard mercury was taken out in the early 90's. But I didn't think it was.Thanks! judy

Judy, I was at the meeting in Dallas in 1999 when the CDC announced that theywere taking the mercury out of vaccines. (I was there as an undercoverspy.) I was also involved with a group (NVIC) that kept tabs onvaccines. What they really did was allow the manufacturers to use up the supplythat had the full dose of mercury (in some cases it was more than ayears worth). They REDUCED the amount of mercury in some vaccines. They used mercury in the PROCESS of making some vaccines but did not ADDany to the final product and tried to say that there was no mercury inthat vaccine. And some vaccines (like the flu vaccine) still has mercury and theyfreely admit it. So the bottom line is that the total amount of mercury has slowly beenreduced since 1999, but there is still mercury in the vaccine schedule. If your cousin is determined to get her child vaccinated, please haveher read "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Vaccinations" byStephanie Cave M.D. She provided information about the diseases and thevaccines. Then she also suggests an alternate vaccination schedule thatwill fulfill the legal requirements and gets the child ready for school. Many doctors and nurses only heard the CDC announcement in 1999 andtruely believe that all the mercury was removed then. You must go thethe vaccination appointment early and ask for the package insert. (Letthe doctor's office know that you are going to do this. I hope someone can help me with information or testimonials. I have
someone with a 9 month old child. They took this child for her
immunizations at the age of 6 months and within 8 hours the child
started having seizures and they have continued, now 3 months
later. They have taken this child to specialist after specialist.
Finally they took her to LeBohner Children's Hospital here in
Memphis and guess what the specialists told her parents? The
seizures are a reaction from the vaccinations. The parents have
asked for help in safely getting this stuff OUT of their now 9 month
old child.

Check out Oprah today. Jenny Mc Carthy is on today talking about how the MMR changed her son and afterwards he developed Autism.

She even questioned the MMR before hand and her doctor she said got all mad and swore at her and got all mad blaming moms grasping straws blaming the MMR.

She said she had a really bad feeling but did it and then he developed seisures, stopped smiling, talking, making eye contact, playing with toys.

She detoxed him and now he is in recovery.

I have some news about a co-worker of my Dh's who has a baby girl that is 2-3 weeks younger than Liam. She was born at the same hospital as Liam, but she had a different pediatrician. That pediatrician told her to get the Hep B shot in the hospital so they did. When I found out about how dangerous vaccines are, I immediately told him and his wife about it and even emailed them all the info I have obtained about them. Well, the guy didn't read one thing! He asked his aunt (who is a nurse) and she said the vaccines are safe so they went ahead and vaccinated their baby girl. I just found out today that the girl immediately went cross-eyed, lost control of her neck/head, and (in the words of the father and/or my Dh - I don't know who said it like this, but) "got all retarded for awhile". I couldn't believe it. Dh asked him why and he said that she wouldn't be allowed in school without the vaccines. After everything we told him, he still did it. Gosh I hope his little girl is going to be okay!

Edit: The shots she received were the 2 months shots, so the DTP and whatever else is given at 2 months now.

Wendy - That is so terrible! I hope she is okay, too. Sounds like she may have had some type of seziure. It makes me sad to hear things like this.
