I need cupcakes WITHOUT 1st birthday theme on them. Please let me know if anyone comes across them!

Karen - I think the kitty stuff sounds so cute, and of course the princess idea, too. I think kids like cupcakes better than cake anyway. I'll probably make that duck cake and cupcakes to go with it.

Here's an idea for making cupcakes easier for kids to eat that my friend did, cupcake cones! You pour the cake batter onto waffle cones before baking and they turn out looking like cupcakes but are on cones so the kids have something to hold while they eat the cupcake.
Karen-you will be able to find cute princess stuff really easily, I love that theme! Cassie-great deal on that website! Maybe I am in denial but I am not even THINKING about Avery's 2nd birthday party. I think partly because it will be right before Christmas, which in and of itself is overwhelming. My biggest thing to figure out is how many and who to invite. I have a close group of friends that have babies/toddlers, then I also have the playgroup, AND then the daycare kids!! Last year we kept it to just family which made it easier but i guess as they get older it is more kid-oriented.

Bina every year we make cupcake cones for our bible school snacks. The kids love them. The secret I have found is when you do them use aluminum foil around the bottom of the cone to make it stand in the muffin pan. Also do not fill them but halfway otherwise it runs out of the tops. The cones come out chewy but the kids still seem to love them.
 Oh and yeah princess stuff is so easy to find because it is so common. That is why I am thinking I may go with the kitty theme.

I have been working on Jack's 2nd birthday and this is what I have come up with!
I rented a pavilion at our local park that Jack loves to play at! We are having a barnyard theme party. These are the plates and napkinsI am ordering...  The tablecloths...  Balloons (just the cow print not the big cow)...  Jack's shirt I ordered...  The cupcake picks...  (The cow and lamb will be on a green grass cupcake, the pig on a pinkish brown mud cupcake and the rooster on yellow hay) The goodie bags filled with fresh animal cookies (homemade I hope)   The invitations that I made!  I know several people have had farm themed birthdays so feel free to offer any cute ideas/suggestions!
