Kelly, I think your email was fantastic. Hopefully they'll get back to you w/ a good answer.

Shannon- I forgot to say it last night, but I'm sorry about all the medical stuff w/ Bladen. It's so hard to see kids suffering w/ anything. I can't stand even seeing my boys being sick w/ colds, so I think I'd be a total mess having to deal w/ anything worse. He's in my prayers!

Karen- Maybe I'm behind, but I thought your husband was getting the big V? Did you finally give up on depending on him to do so?

I'm so aggravated. I cannot find our checkbook ANYWHERE, and need to pay bills!!

did you girls hear about this atom spliter generator that they are starting up tomorrow and some scientist believe it will be the end of the world tomorrow!!! i guess it is 17 miles long and is located on the france switerland border. they are trying to recreate the big boom and how the world was created to either prove or disprove theories. my opinion who really cares!!! why not spend the 16 or 17 billion dollars it took to build towards cancer research, hiv research, people starving the list could go on and on. i just dont understand why this is going on. is it going to help anything???

Sarah you didn't miss anything...He jsut hasn't and I do not want to get pregnant again so I was taking matters into my own hands. He is a WHIMP when it comes to "his boys" he said!

Okay so I backed out of the IUD today. Read too much last night online and talked to a few girls IRL. I just couldn't do it. So I got b/c pills instead. Was contemplating the shot and she said the shot is the only one proven to make you gain weight so I thought UMMM no not doing that either. lol I am a big ol weenee when it comes to some things and the fact that I needed valium and percocet beforehand scared me. After breast surgery and two c-sections I amnot interested in any more pain!! She did my pap today and breast exam. I had told her beforehand that I had repair surgery after breastfeeding two babies for a year each. She acted as if it was no biggie. I really liked her. She was so easy to talk to! YAY for a new GYN that I like!

Karen,
Have you heard about Essure? They are always showing it at my OB's office. Supposedly it's a fairly simple, mostly painless procedure. It's permanent, though, so there is no changing your mind once it's done!

Karen-just remember to take those pills *stern voice* LOL!

Lisad-that is a little weird, I haven't heard anything like that.

Avery is already crying and up from her nap and its barely been an hour! Now she will be grumpy, great.

I posted this in the TTC#2 thread, and I thought I'd say something over here, too. I'm sorry.

Girls, I'm sorry. I'm feeling so bad right now. I think I may take a break for a little while, too. If any of you want to email, send me a PM and I'll give you my email address. I'll still update FF just for kicks, but I may not be on for awhile.

Karen - fyi I was on the shot for a few years and that was the skinnest I have ever been and it was so easy going in every few months for a shot - but I must have been a rare case!

The is in regards to people leaving and getting upset over posts. As moms, we have to do what is right in our minds for our kids. All kids are different, so what may be right for your child may not be right for someone else. I try to just state what I do and I feel is right for my children and try not to judge others. I think as long as you keep that in mind hopefully you will not offend anyone - although there are always a few. Because of Bladen I'm part of a group where we discuss similar things often and we have managed to not step on too many toes...but you do get alot of disclaimers - this is not medical advice, just what has worked or what we have done for our child.

Sorry just wanted to put my 2 cents in as I'm not here often, but do love it when I pop in because everyone is so friendly and supportive.

Shannon

PS - I really do appreciate all the support for what my family has been going through.

Shannon- I'm so sorry that your family is going through so much with Bladen's seizures. Jeslynn had one when she was about 5 months old and they never found out why. She hasn't had one since, but we had to do a cat scan and a sleep deprived eeg, and only doing those things once each was horrible, I can't imagine having to put my child through that multiple times. You're in our prayers.

Jenna- For whatever reason you're taking a break, just feel better and you're always welcome back here in my opinion. This goes for all the ladies taking a break. Every person is important to these boards, the differences make the balance.

Karen- Well, I agree with Bina for the most part.. you know how us ladies can be.. we'd always love more babies! lol but really, good for you taking the initiative. My dh is a wimp when it comes to his boys too.

Kelly- Your email was perfect. It made it more of a concern for you doing your job of getting her there on time than being the finger pointer and saying they weren't doing their jobs. Very reverse psychology.

Lisa- I'm going to search for what you were talking about.. It amazes me the stupid things people will waste money on when a couple hundred dollars will dig a well in a dry climate and save hundreds of lives.. geez..

Well, MOPS starts tomorrow, so wish me luck. I've never been "in charge" of anything involving this many people before, so I'm super nervous. I hope I don't screw it up! lol

Karen- Glad you skipped the IUD. I have heard some horror stories about them too and wouldn't want you to go through that. The pill is a good temp solution until you & DH decide what is best.

Shannon- I am so sorry to hear about Bladen. I will be thinking of you & your family.

Kelly- The note sounds great!!

Bina- I hope Avery isn't cranky on her short nap. Cute stories about her the other day.

I have received three pm's from moms on the other side of the coin that want a break too. They just feel like they get jumped on for talking about healthy food & now can't even express how they feel about vaccines in their special thread.

I think what Shannon said is spot on. Do research and be confident in your choices for your child. You are the one that knows your child best and what is best for him or her. I am very confident in my choices for Mason, so when I read a post that I may find as offensive or totally off the mark in my views, it does not effect me like that.

I feel drained from yesterday & last week myself but I am still here.

Well going to get things ready for my birthday boy tomorrow. I can't believe he will be 2!!

I have come to realize that at the end of the day *even though I love my cyber friends* my IRL family and friends are what makes my world go round. So sometimes it takes things like this to make us step back and realize that.

cassie~ I have to agree with you. I promise I won't be gone long, I've just been having such a terrible time at work, then some things at home haven't been so great. This place used to be my "safe haven" and lately it just hasn't felt like that. I just want us all to be happy again. I love you guys, I just need to work some things out and then I'll be back. (((hugs to all)))
