Judith- Do you mind giving me a short description of how you fix those fruits.. cantaloupe, watermelon, plums & nectarines. Did you use fresh pears too like Lauren? Thanks.. I ordered my books but they won't be here for a bit. I appreciate you girls and your help.

christie- watermelon, cantalope i just cut up and gave abby once she started gumming things. you can dice them up and still put them in cubes to freeze them (judith just told me today that's how she does it) and i never pureed those....i don't know if judith did or not. plums, peaches, nectarines, pears, and the frozen fruits i steamed and pureed until she got older and could just eat them...

Judith, that site is too cute! I won't show it to DH though b/c he'll want to buy it now. lol. My girls like crunchy stuff too now when they are teething. Cheerios are still a hit here!

Lauren, I wish I had advice to offer but since my girls are still taking bottles (oops ) I've got nothing. lol. I've tried all the tricks mentioned and I just can't seem to get them to drink milk out of the sippy. So, I stopped trying for a while. I figure I'll try again in a month. I'm sure I had a bottle until I was 2 and turned out ok IMO. lol. Let me know if you find something that works! Question, does she hold her own bottle? I noticed today that my girls still don't really care to. So, I think I'll start there. Slow transition but we'll get there.

Ok, off to read and maybe go to bed early. We have the neurosurgeon's appt tomorrow.

Christie- I did the same as Lauren just said. I have baked them too instead of steaming. I always peeled everything. The plums I cut in half, took the core out and baked them face down in about 1 inch of water on 400 I think it was. Check out the link below for recipes on how to do all fruits & veggies. I have liked some baby food making books better than others. Some were pretty out there in my opinion having you use crazy ingredients. LOL The watermelon and cataloupe I freeze chopped up in their juice and they come out great. I just ate Mason's left overs today. You can puree them too to give until Charlie moves onto textures. Pears I think you can find year round but I did them the same way as the plums and baked them.

Lou- I forgot to say I am so sorry about Aidyn throwing up today!! Mason did the same when he gagged and choked last week. Then that night it must have triggered his stomach because I woke up to whole blueberries & sweet potato fries chunks thrown up all over his crib!! So I KNOW he doesn't chew and swallows things whole. He makes me a nervous wreck when he eats. I see him moving his mouth up and down but he must just play with his food between his tounge & the roof of his mouth. How do you teach chewing properly? Mason still won't hold his bottle either. Are you sure I don't have your 3rd twin here. LOL

Hiya!

Its been AGES since Ive been online but had to let you all know that Maya and Lucy are at their very first day at nursery (daycare)! We've left them there for an hour, just to get used to it. Its one of the hardest things to do, walk away from them. Am sure they are having loads of fun though, and the teachers have our number and promised to call if there was a problem.

Am hoping to get online a lot more once they start full time. Im going to be working from home on the computer, so will have time to check in and keep updated again.

Ive missed you guys so much!!!

Lou - poor thing I can't believe she ate so well and then threw up. She'll get their momma! They are precious as can be and appear very healthy!

Well it was a no go on the camper. It was 1 year old and had a soft spot in the floor! Dh seems to think the air condition was leaking into the wall and down to the floor. The guy said, "huh, I never noticed that". The spot was in the small walk way to get in the bed.

Sooo the search continues.

Morning ladies. I needed a nice break yesterday, so I wasnt around much as you've all noticed. Alyssa is teething really really bad... I hope today is better for both our sakes. I just want these teeth to hurry up!! lol. I need to clean up comupter up a bit and get rid of some things. I found my photoshop cd & I just have to locate my annimation shop one and then I can make blinkies! WOOHOO CAN YOU BELIEVE IT .

Time for bfast & then hopefully I can catch up with everyone.
