Tammy - I am glad you had a nice time today. It is so cold here today too. I don't think Lela has really grown much because she has on an outfit from last winter/spring and it still fits her lol it just fits her but still. I am happy that she has slowed down growing I also bought her some other new clothes and they are 24 months and fit her pefect I bet you Alyssa and her are the same size now.

Vicki, Maybe it's in the name because my Nate sounds like your Nate too. I wish I had advice for you too, but I'm trying to find ways to feed my Nate.

Lauren, Hope you had a blast this weekend!

Judith, I wanna see pictures! Hope you had a great weekend as well.

Lou, We already knew that the girls are smart. It's great that the pedi confirmed it! lol.

Robin, That's so sweet of Lela to say that. It's wonderful for her to be able to verbally express it to you too!

Alright, we're going to a wedding tonight so I'll talk to you later!

Robin- That story is so cute about sunshine.

Ksh- That is one thing with Mason I was lucky enough to break a long time ago. He goes down in the crib awake. It was a slow process to go from rocking to sleep to that but we got there. Sometimes he gets fussy that way and we started putting a singing stuffed animal in his crib with him. He will turn that on a few times then fall alseep on the fussy nights. My kid never poops so no advice there. LOL

Lou- Are you all packed up?

Vicki- Welcome!!

Amy- Too funny about having to put a cheerio on every bite.

Tammy- All that apple stuff sounds so yummy. That was so sweet you were thinking of us today

I will write more tomorrow but just wanted to give you a quick update on the party. Well loads of unexpected things happened, pavilion wasn't opened on time, bad wind ruined all my decorating plans and made all the food cold....but what can you do?? I still enjoyed my little boy today. He fussed & cried a lot it was a long day for him and lots of people holding him & kissing him he isn't used to.

The cake turned out GORGEOUS!!

I will post pics tomorrow and the full story & presents under his b-day thread.

Hey girls! It's been busy around here and it'll be another day like that today. Hope you all are doing well. I'm pretty bummed...well, more like devastated. The friend who was having twins that I was giving my stuff to lost both babies. Uggh. I don't know what to say. I'm just so crushed for her. It's such a blow. Ok, enough being a downer.

We're going to the mall later today for nice shoes for the girls and a dress for me. Then out to eat with my family.

Robin, I loved the sunshine story. Lela is such a sweet girl. She's so very smart too. Yesterday in the tub my girls were being bad bad bad. lol. Whenever they stand up I tell them to sit and when they do I say good girl. Well Ashlyn would stand up, look me in the eye, and say SIT...then she would squat and say good girl. lol. How can you be mad at that?! lol.

Amy, how was the wedding? Hope you had fun. Did Nate go?

Judith, wow, I can't wait to read all about the party. I love your attitude though. Good for you for enjoying the day regardless! I bet the little guy made out like a bandit with gifts. Congrats again!

Tammy, glad you had fun!

Ksh, hmmm. Neither of my girls do that when they CIO. They used to cry so hard they'd throw up. That happened twice and we decided CIO wasn't for us. So we just went with it. They started wanting to be put down awake. Ashlyn would finish her bottle then squirm in my arms until I put her down. I think that was at like nine months. But they were used to being put down awake b/c I had been doing it at nap time. How does she do with naps?

Ok, off to feed the little ones.

Judith - I can't wait to hear all the details!!!!

Lou - OMG that is so funny!!!!!! I just love how are girls are so close in age and development they are doing all the same things and it is so neat. Oh and Lela have finally learned a few dance moves lol. Madison has also taught her how to move like a monkey with her arms and a chicken and she is trying to show her some other things lol. I really wished we lived closer they would have so much fun together well when they weren't bitting and hitting and pulling her and acting like 1 year olds LOL

ath96- I hope your Nate makes it a little easier for you with eating. My Nate will eat somethings great, but dinners are always bad. We have tried to not eat late, so he is not overtired. I limit snacks after lunch. It's is just the normal dinner issues. I know it will get better, for now it is just frustrating.

travelgirl-hello! I'm glad overall Mason's birthday worked out. First birthdays can be stressful enough without bad weather.

AlyssasMommy- sounds like you had a great time at the Apple Fest.

Lou-sorry to hear about your friends lost. That must be devastating. I hope you had good luck finding shoes and a dress. The tub story is funny. I love to watch the kids as their personalities really come out.

Anyway, have to go do laundry and bake 2 quiches. Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

Thanks girls!!

Mason only received 3 toys he already had. The story chair, farm magnets and a walker. I think I have will enough when combining all three to get him that laugh & learn kitchen instead.

Judith - That is great that he didn't get alot of the same toys. I saw he got the bounce and spin zebra Lela loves hers.

Okay I am off to shower and go to bed I am so tired and am starting to get sick. Oh I forgot to tell you girls that a couple days ago DH said that there was a fight between inmates and one stabbed the other ughhh is just scares me.

OMG Judith those pics were amazing! The cake was just beautiful and you all looked wonderful! I would hire you in a heartbeat to plan a party. Have you thought about doing it for real?! I really think you have a gift for it.

Viki, today was one of our not so good feeding days and boy can it be stressful. And here I was hoping they would get better about eating as they got older. Does Nate have things he just loves to eat?

Robin, not only would our girls have so much fun but I think we would too! You guys are the coolest! I wish my friends here were that cool. Sorry about DH's job being scary at times. I know he'll be ok and be as safe as possible b/c he has those two beautiful girls to look after...and you too of course! Today Ashlyn picked up the real house phone and said hello, then handed it to me and said 'elmo calling'. I about died laughing!

Lauren, my girls would drink mustard from the bottle if I let them. lol. Too bad mustard and ketchup don't have more nutritional value or they might just be a meal here. Glad you're feeling better!

I guess I'm off to bed. Loads of laundry to do tomorrow.

Judith- Everything looked incredible. You have an attention for detail. I love the cakes. They turned out great. ps..love the gymboree outfit. Mason looked great in it. Do you ever buy Janie and Jack? I LOVE their clothes.

Lou-Nate loves the normal toddler foods. So I make most things from scratch and hide "extras" in it. He loves pasta, meats, apples, pears, any type of chicken. So he does do well when he eats. I finely dice vegs and add them to anything I know he will eat. Same with meat. You can hide alot when it is diced small enough. Although, he may only have 2-3 good eating days a week. I try to go organic on anything I can. I limit any treats as well as what they snack on.

Robin-That's scary about your DH's work. My DH is a volunteer firefighter and we have had several more than close calls. It can be very scary and that is volunteer. I would be a wreck. But I'm sure your DH is as careful as he can be.

Gotta go try and get some sleep.

ps.. that is funny about the mustard/ketchup. None of my guys will eat either.

Robin- Mason really liked the bouce & spin zebra today but he kept trying to get off by himself and falling. How the heck did they get something to stab them with?

Lou- Thank you. Gosh I wouldn't even know how to start party planning. How do you charge for that...I have no clue?? Today was a bad eating day for Mason too. All he would eat for lunch was cherrios or he would cry when I tried anything else. For bfast he had 1/4 cup oatmeal with blueberries, and dinner 2 oz. of chicken, rice & string beans. I think he eats about 1/4 of the food they suggests for his age some days. Other days he will eat pretty good. I will ask the pedi at his 12 mo check up on Tuesday. It's weird because I think well he has weight on him so he should be alright...but then I worry is he getting enough for brain power & vitamins and all.

Vicki- Thanks about his Gymbo outfit. That is practicallly all he has their stuff is SO cute. I think Janie & Jack has nice stuff. I just don't have one near me. I have ordered a few things on line from them.

After DH took his bath all his tub water came out of my downstairs toliet!! He bathed in our huge master bath tub so it was A LOT of water!! This is really gross but he went to the bathroom right before that and #2 came all out too down stairs from the upstairs toliet. We had about 3" of water and poop all over the down stairs bath into the hall & my dining room. Ugggh what a mess. Dh tried grabbing all my good towels and he got mad when I wouldn't let him ruin them. I went and got all out pool & beach towels instead. Took like 20 of them to soak it all up. Then we had to clean and steralize all the floors. Now all our hard wood floors are buckled and ruined. Even the paint is peeling off our floor trim. I am so disgusted since we just got done remoldeling this house. sigh
