Tammy - glad you popped in. Congrats on the raise!

Hannah went to the dr. yesterday and basically she couldn't find anything wrong with her. No ear infection, no strep, no infections anywhere. SO I guess I'm glad she doesn't have to take antibiotics again, but I wish I could do something to make her feel better right now. My chest hurts. I guess we're just going to rest all weekend and drink lots of fluids.

Hi everyone!
I've been busy, and pop in all the time to read, but seldom have a chance to write (as you can see from the siggy that has yet to be changed!) But I figured its been quiet, and I better get on and say hello.

I've been feeling pretty gross. Nothing too terrible, just the typical early pg stuff. We have the u/s on Wed, and I am really looking forward to it. I've already been having symptoms of gest. diabetes, so I'm going to talk to them about it then. I have the feeling I'll have it again this time. But we'll see... maybe I can keep things under control w/o insulin, which would be nice.

The boys have had mild colds for the past week, and today they both have fevers. Both seem okay for the most part, just a little on the fussy side. We went to the pumpkin patch this morning to do fall pictures. I'll post when I get them. I'm hoping the family pics turned out well, b/c it's our first family portrait.

Tomorrow we are going to visit my parents. We're staying until Tuesday. DH is off work on Monday, so he is going to stay here and SUPPOSEDLY will be working his butt off to clean the garage, basement, etc. I'll be ticked if he just sits around and plays computer games the whole time. I said to him, "Do you realize how much I could get done around here in two days with no kids in the house?" We'll see...

Kristy- As for those shots, sorry they are so lousy! I've heard that some people get really, really sore from them. I hated them, but it was more discomfort than actual pain. Have you tried different sites and positions when doing the injections? I found that I HAD to be lying down on my stomach, and it helped to have the tv on to distract me while dh was doing it. It was super painful if I was tensed up at all, and the anticipation waiting for the injection made me tense really easily. Is dh doing it for you?

That's it for now. Joel's yelling and I have a headache. Have a great day, everyone!

Judith-Physically I am feeling great (just like I did when PG with Avery). Sounds like Mason had a blast with the Sesame Street characters, that is Avery's favorite show!

Hi everyone else!

Judith, no

Tammy, glad to see you checking in! You need to more often but I understand with work, a house and a little one!

Sarah, it isn't the shot that hurts. It doesn't hurt until the next day and then I feel like I got kicked in the rear!!! I am doing them myself, it doesn't bother me. Last night I used a heating pad and a massager after the shot to help it absorb but I am just as sore today. Hopefully I will get used to it. It hurts the worse when I sit down or get up, I guess I am using that muscle. Oh well....I think I get to stop December 5th

Kelly, I hope you and Hannah are feeling better and enjoying your weekend of rest.

We all need to get together soon.

Hannah was up a lot last night, so I just laid her down for a nap. WHen I put her in her bed, SHE SAID, "I LOVE YOU!!!"

bina - glad you are feeling good!

Had a nice weekend the 3 of us. my parents came over on saturday night for a visit. my dad made homemade applesauce so he brought some for abby We ran a couple of errands, I cleaned like a maniac. Rob is sick tho...of course, 2 days before his physical exam for the border patrol job. argh! but he was practicing tonight and he can do it. He's out of breath, but he did it. He will have to call in sick on wednesday since it was such short notice about it...so hopefully with a good night sleep tuesday night and relaxing all morning he will do great

Hi ladies!

I know I don't post here much, so I always feel kind of guilty just popping in, but I frequently pop in and just read up on how everyone is doing and look for some good advice

AJ was sick on and off during the night - coughing and crying. He started a fever around 5, and when I took his temp it was already at 102.2! He has only had a fever one other time. I think the tylenol helped though because he just seems slightly warm now and has drank a few ounces of juice. We have been watching movies all morning (normally he gets one half-hour sign language movie a day, so he is in heaven!). I am hoping he takes a few naps to catch up from last night - I am exhausted!

Bina, I don't know if I said it yet but CONGRATS!!! When are you going to start explaining to Avery about the new baby?

Sarah, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm sure the the boys are going to do so well taking care and protecting their baby brother or sister. It'll be so sweet! How are they?

Judith, Pecan pumpkin muffins sound so yummy! Makes me want to start baking! lol. How is Mason doing?

Lauren, Congratulations for Rob's new job! When does he officially start? Or has he started already? How is Abby doing?

Missy, Congratulations to you too! Glad to hear AJ is doing much better. I don't know how the weather is there, but the weather is constantly changing so a lot of kids are getting sick here. It's so hard to dress them appropriately because it's hot one day and cold the next.

Kristy, How are you doing? How do you feel?

Kelly, Hearing Hannah say 'I love you' must have melted your heart!!! I'm still waiting for Nate to say that on his own without me prompting him. lol.

To everyone else I missed, Hi!!!

Hi girls. I'm so far behind on posts, but it won't be too tough to catch up on since it's a bit slow here. I've added more hours to my job. Initially, I was working 5 hours a week but I took on another case and will be working more hours. I figured this economy is doing horrible so it wouldn't hurt to make a little more money while Nate's in school.

Oh and to update on one of Nate's preschool applications, he already got rejected from one school. I applied maybe around the 3rd week of September and the school sent a letter a few days later stating that they've reached their maximum capacity of applications. Oh well. Their loss! haha. I'll hear from the other schools by March.

missy - congrats! glad to hear that AJ is feeling better.

amy - that's nice you are able to get extra hours while nate's in school. i wouldn't say that Nate was rejected from that school! they just couldn't take any more apps...it's not that they didn't want nate hope you hear good news from the other schools. Also, rob hasn't gotten the job officially. there are a few tests and interviews before he gets the final yes. but thank you

judith - those muffins sound great!

went to a cider mill/apple orchard with rob, abby and my parents. it was a lot of fun. you could tell my parents had a great time with her. we took a tractor ride around the orchard and picked a pumpkin. my dad got a great pic of abby...so i told him i wanted him to email it to me BY TONIGHT! LOL

hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Lauren, You're right that the school didn't really reject Nate. I guess I'm just annoyed at how competitive it is around here. When does Rob go for his next interview? I hope he gets it because I think you get great benefits working for the gov't. How about your job. How's that going?

amy - from what rob read within the next 6 weeks he should hear about when his video tape interview is. There is also the background check...and you meet with the background investigator as well. After that, i'm not sure. my friends dh does this and it was about a 9 mo. process. His friend also is in the process right now and it's been a year. But rob's seems to be moving pretty fast....my friend's dh agrees too that it's moving pretty fast for rob. so fingers crossed. My job is alright. it's a paycheck...a small one, but covers my surgery payment/mo and a little extra...so i will keep at it thanks for asking...

Hi ladies! what a rough weekend! So, AJ started to feel better around Friday, then I started to feel sick. I ended up going to the clinic on Saturday and found out I have strep. We had gone to Alexandria, MN (three hours away) to visit with my parents, so it actually worked out well- they spent most of the weekend with AJ while I slept. I have lost three pounds in the past two weeks due to morning sickness, so that has been a bit rough...however - in a way I love having morning sickness because it is a constant reminder that SOMETHING is going right I have my first ultrasound on Tuesday, so I am super excited for that. Crossing my fingers for two - but happy with just one (kind of hopin
