Newbie and maybe...
pregnant? I apologize if this post gets long. Hi, my name is Krissy and I have been reading over this site for awhile now, but never registered. I am a 26 yr old teacher, and married for just a few months. I come from a family full of endometriosis, ovarian masses, and infertility problems. One of my sisters got a hysterectomy at 28 years old, another is in the hospital right now about to deliver at 29 weeks after a terrible and scary pregnancy. I decided to quit taking birth control last month and start charting my bbt and cm, not necessarily because I am ready to start actively trying, but because I wanted to be aware of my fertility so that I am aware of any problems before they are unfixable problems. So, after 10 yrs on birth control I figured this would take awhile. I had a pap on Wednesday, and asked if they could do a blood test, since I planned on drinking this weekend. I knew it would probably be too early, but they did it, and it was negative. Well...I tested three times today; all faint positives. I went to the doctor, freaking out a bit, and they tested, also a faint positive. But I tried two digital tests; negative. They did a blood test, but told me that I will have to wait until MONDAY (today is Friday) in order to get the results!!! WHAT?!! I think that I am excited, but don't know what to believe. You know when you are getting your bikini/legs waxed. They put on the wax, then they put on the piece of cloth, and there is that moment when you go, "Oh, Crap. There is only one way to get that off now" I feel like that. Anyways, any advice that you all may have would be VERY helpful. I am not sure what to tell my husband!
Oh, and by the way, I love reading all of your experiences. I have learned a lot about fertility on this site! Krissy

Well in my mind there is no sort of pregnant, a faint positive is a positive. You have the chemical in your body that says you are pregnant. So be happy, relax and have fun telling your husband. I am praying you have a very sticky bean. Welcome and let us know how you tell your husband.

Its a keeper!
Thank you! I did a digital test this morning, and it said "Positive"!!! Can't argue with that! I am SO EXCITED! This just doesn't happen in my family, my doctor can't believe it since I have so many health issues!
I didn't get to tell my husband...he guessed! I handed him a beer and told him to sit down (not like me), and he said, "your pregnant" He was kidding, but when I looked back at him with a straight face, we both started laughing! We decided not to tell my family until they visit next week. My sister called and it was so wiered because the first thing she said was, "Guess whose pregnant?" I thought for a second that she meant me, but she was referring to a good friend of mine who apparently also found out yesterday! I guess its a good week, baby dust to everyone!
