Using the calendar doesn't work!!!!!!!!!

Get the ovulation prediction kit today!!! This will tell you when your surge is and then you are sure to get your BD on for 3 to 4 days after your surge.

There are other methods - but I think for right now your OPK sticks are the best bet.

Be sure when you get the kit to read ALL the instructions.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear on my question. I meant how long was the cycle...but I already figured it out. How long AF stays has no effect on TTC - no need to track that. What you track is one first red full flow day to the next.

If you had AF on 9/13 and then again on 10/11 that's a 30 day cycle. So you are on the longer side of the average.

So you should start your OPK on day 13. Which is tomorrow. Does not mean you will see a positive tomorrow...just start tomorrow.

I can relate with my DS I got off the pill January 1st and was pregnant by mid February.

Who knows it may happen quick for you again this time...but the OPK is a start.

You start counting from 9/13 oh wait I counted wrong. hold on (looking at calendar again)

okay start on 9/13 till the day before October 11th...so that's 28 days.

Then I look at the chart on the predictor kit instructions. And for 28 days it says to start on day 11....oh oh ....which was like....this past saturday. So pee on the OPk today.

My cycles are usually 26 days...so I start doing the OPK on day 9, I usually get positives on day 10 and 11.

You won't be able to calculate your luteal phase until you know for sure when you ovulate. The best way to do that is to start a chart on FF. But for this month try this first.

be sure you are NOT using first morning urine. It should be mid afternoon to early evening.

I've seen tests that say both to hold your urine for 2 hours or 4. I hold mine for 4 and cut back on liquids.

Welcome Hillarey!
This is a great site, and I know you will learn a lot from the women here! I know I have! Along with opks it is REALLY helpful to chart your basal body temp and chart it (see my www link below my name). It is really simple to do, and a GREAT way to learn your body & your cycle.
Babydust to you!
