Wink New to group

Hi everybody!

A friend referred me to this site, so I'm excited to share my story. I'm 30 and my DH is 30 too. We've been TTC for 3 years. The first year I did FAM charting and did my best to follow all the rules and time BD correctly. (I really like the book TCOYF). In May 2007, my GYN put me on Clomid 50 mg days 5-9, I got a BFP! My prog. level was good (21.7) and my first U/S at 6 weeks revealed a HB. When I went to my next appt at 9.5 weeks, they could no longer find a HB. I had blood work done and my hcg levels continued to drop. I miscarried 10 days later at home, it was a long 10 days! In Oct 2007, I started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (RE). She is great and did a lot of blood work from the start. (I already had an HSG which was clear in Dec 2006 and my DH's testing came back perfect in Nov 2006). She found that my thyroid was out of whack with my TSH being 5.5. My thyroid is still getting regulated, but with Synthroid it's getting better (last TSH 3.4). She also discovered some elevations in certain blood cotting antibodies (antiphosphotydalserine and anti...ethanol??). So, I started taking a baby aspirin everyday. In Dec 2007, I went back on Clomid 50 mg days 3-7 and also had an HCG trigger injection too. After ovulation, I had to give myself daily Lovenox injections for the blood clotting issue. BFN Since that time, I've had my blood clotting levels repeated and they're close to normal now! So, no more Lovenox, just baby aspirin. I really don't know what is going on with my body! I'll have these same levels repeated in early April.

I decided to start charting again and keep trying the "old-fashioned way"! I am scheduled for a laparoscopy on May 14th to rule-out endometriosis. My sister was diagnosed with it when she was 25. I have some pain during the month (lower left side) and once in a while with BD too. I also spot a lot before my actual cycle begins, even though I'm pretty regular (27-29 days). I take a MVI, super B-complex, 50 mg B6, fish oil capsules, my thyroid med and a baby aspirin everyday. I cut out caffeine 6 weeks ago! (I've had a cup of coffee everyday of my life since I was 15!).

I would love to know if my story resembles anyone else's because I do feel lonely from time to time. But God gave me a wonderful DH and good friends that really care about me (even though they're preggo! LOL). - emz

Welcome! Come join us in the Infertility thread. Many of us have been TTC for over two years, and have also suffered miscarriages and been through most of the tests. We're happy to provide any additional knowledge we may have, but it sounds like you're on the ball!

emz - Welcome to the group. I'm not sure that anyone has experience all that you have, but there are a few here who have had to deal with some of it. There is a handful of us who've been around for 2-3 years, so definitely can relate to what you're feeling. Join us in the Infertility forum. You'll feel right at home.

Hi, and welcome. Here's a link to the monthly IF thread the girls referred to: March Infertility

There are a lot of experiences around here with these ladies, and no two are the same. Varied and vast. Hopefully, you can find some guidance, and at very least, you will find great support here. Good luck.

Emz, Well I def. can't say that we or any other person has the same story as you, but thats whats nice about being here. We're all so similar, yet so different. My bf also refered me to this site, so yeah for that. I love her for it. Aside from her, DH and you guys, I also have no one. Oh and did I mention that she is also preggie... ( I can't lie... i'm super psyched)

Baby Stone - thanks, it is nice having the support here when you need it. I'm having my blood clotting levels and thyroid rechecked in 2 weeks. Since my lap is scheduled for 5/14, I am not charting or taking temps this month. I need a break! It was neat looking back at some of my earlier charts, my first one was Nov. 2004! We hadn't started ttc until Mar 2005, but I was just getting a feel for my cycles. I don't know what the lap is going to reveal, but I hope there is a game plan after that. I also hope that my blood clotting levels are back to normal. (I really don't want an antiphospholipid syndrome diagnosis!) I started my AF yesterday and it's so heavy today! Two people close to me have just adopted little babies, so I know that is definitely an option. What's your story?

DH and I have just recently decieded that we were going to actually start "trying". I was only on BC for about 3 mths before we got married and I had to stop bc it affected my migraines more than I could take, so we have never really prevented. We have been married almost 3 yrs now and we are both def. ready. It's so funny bc we're so different, yet so alike. After I read what you said about how you were reading your previous charts, from yrs when you weren't even tcc, I realized that I did that too. It must be a girl/mom thing. It really sux that we have to worry so much about so much!!! Sometimes I wish I were a man... j/k Anyway, as far as any known complications, I'm unaware at this time. I just changed drs for the 3rd time bc I had probs with my regular one, and wan uncomfortable with the second. I am happy now, and she was very concerned for me bc of dh's schedule, gave me some advice, and just talked to me. Her only concern is my hx of cysts, which she said shouldn't really be a concern at all. She also suggested that we do beginning bld work for rubella and cystic fib bc she's positive that i'm coming back in a few months with a bfp. She really made me feel like the capable woman that I know I am! More than I can say for the previous few. So thats it really... My "Story" I think anyway
