Hi
Hi everyone,
My name is Cole (Nicole) and my husband is Steve. We've been trying for our 2nd child for several months. I have a beautiful 3 year old litte girl. Last time we were trying, it took 11 months of serious work, but it happened. I think we're on month 4 or 5 (things are just blurring together) this time. At first we decided to just 'wing it' and if it happened, GREAT! But, it looks like it's going to be just as much work as last time. I was hoping to avoid charting, OPKs and all of that stuff, but hey, if that's what it takes, then I'm all good with that decision...I think we'll give it 1 more month of just having fun, then get down to the nitty-gritty.. Thank you everyone - every time I get online, I have to check to see who else has welcomed me - and there's a new one every time!! Yay!!

Cole, I would have to say that in the relative scheme of things, we did not have trouble with ttc our son, Dylan. We tried from November 2004 to the end of January 2005, then my grandpa passed away on Feb 4, 2005 and I was overwhelmed with grief and helping my mom to cope with it, so we didn't even give it much thought. Sure enough, it happened right around Valentine's Day. I look at Dylan as a gift sent to us from my grandpa, so that we could move on and look to the future and not feel so sad about losing someone we love so much. I hope that we do not have similar circumstances this time around, but I also hope that it doesn't take too long. This month is cycle number 3 for us and I have come up with a plan to hopefully speed things along and make July our "lucky month". I know it will happen when it's supposed to, I am just praying that it'll be sooner rather than later. I definitely do not want to go through the summer being pregnant again. That was the worst, not to mention that I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes...YUCK! Now I know that this time I have to be VERY careful about eating healthy and exercising on a regular basis. Well, enough of my sob story....it's just amazing that even though I had a horrible pregnancy, I am willing to endure it all over again, just to have another bundle of joy to bless our lives.

Val,
That's a great way to look at things with your grandpa - he watched over you and sent you your baby - and Dylan has his own personal "Guardian Angel" in your grandfather. I'm hoping for something so similar it's almost scary! My grandfather passed away just 3 weeks ago on June 21st after a very long and exhausting illness ....I'm not counting on anything, but I think it would be such a great tribute and loving memory to my grandpa if I could tell everyone that we're expecting again. I think it would definately help my grandmother and my mother to have a bright spot in their lives to help them lift the sad cloud over them. Stormy- I love my name too!! My mother has called me that my entire life, and when I was younger I didn't really like it. Now that I'm older, I like it because it's so unique...plus it sounds more 'grown up' than when my childhood friends call me "Nicky", which I don't think they'll ever stop!! LOL

my friend was nicole and there was about 5 girls in our class that were nicole (class of about 75) so we called her cole. but we pronouced the e so it was like coley
