Default Something Silly: What's your perfect sandwich

I love sandwiches. I always have, but I REALLY started to love them when I was in California, cause the ONE food habit I picked up there had to do with sandwiches...

My perfect sandwich:

Whole wheat bread
miracle whip
fresh baby spinach leaves
smoked turkey breast (thin sliced)
muenster cheese
cucumber slices (this is what I picked up in California)
pepper
italian dressing (not the low fat globby kind, one full of spices, I like Ken's)
sharp cheddar
hard salami
yellow mustard

With some of those kettle-cooked, light salt potato chips, the really crunchy deli kind....and the dressing oozes out the sides a little and you can mop it up with the side of the bread...YUM! LMAO!

I also make a KILLER grilled cheese (my kids have actually told me they are the best they've ever had), but this is my favorite.

Ok, your turn...

Mine is pretty simple I guess,

I love rye bread( good rye bread, not just any rye bread with seeds)
little brown mustard
sharp sharp cheddar cheese
prosciutto
hard salami
hot capicola ham.(spelling?)

with a crunchy dill pickle

Not something I would have too often. But it is nice every once and a while.

There is this little sandwich shop in Seattle by Pikes place market that makes a mean hot Ruben sandwich. Yummy.

For home made.
Ciabatta bread
pesto
Turkey
Havarti cheese
thin sliced tomatos.

Smash with a heavy skillet while cooking it on a grill until the cheese is melted. Like a panini.

I'd have to say turkey and avocado on whole wheat with lettuce, cucumber, sprouts and spicey mustard. Yum. Maybe bacon if I'm in the right mood. Crispy bacon though, not limp! I hate the limp stuff!

This sandwich became my favorite after trying it at Erik's Delicafe.

Its called Pilgrim's Progress

Turkey Breast and fresh avacado on sourdough bread. With Erik's "Secret Goo", tomatoes and sprouts.

Yum!

They also have a sandwich called the Sea Dog

Erik's tuna salad and cheddar cheese heated on a sweet french roll. Also with Erik's "Secret Goo", tomatoes and sprouts.

They are both SO good!

Jenna ~ I was just being tacky.

There is this place in California called 'Einstein Bros Bagels' and they have this one I was in LOVE with when I was at school...I'm not even sure I can remember exactly what was on it or what it was called...I think it was turkey, cucumber, sprouts, chive cream cheese, on a toasted sesame bagel...to DIE for. *yum*

I have one of my famous homemade sandwiches for lunch today. I'm excited. How sad, huh?

Jenna - That sounds good.

Oh another sandwich I like is Hummus, cucumber chunks on a good crusty white bread. Cooke like a panini. Sounds strange but it is so good hot.

Steph~ We have Einsteins here! I know the exact sandwich you're talking about. I ate it twice a month while I was pregnant! It's soooo good.

There is ONE Einstein's in Texas...but it's in Austin. That's a long way to go for a sandwich... But I might take a little trip this weekend, just for fun... HA!

Steph- If you are talking about Einstein's Brothers Bagels, there is one in Dallas about a mile from my house. I've never had their sandwiches. Ironically, I am eating a sandwich tonight for dinner.

Mrs.Baird's white bread
Miracle Whip on both sides
Sharp cheddar cheese
6 small slices of hard salami

Yum, yum!!!
