Anyone a fan of the show? I couldn't care less about American Idol, but THIS is my show!! I am so excited that it is back for another season.

I was planning to get rid of tv for the summer, but now that it's back, I think I'm gonna have to keep it after all just so I can watch it!

I'm a watcher too although DH has very little patience for this one so I don't get to watch it religiously. I think the judges bother him more than anything. I have to find ways to get him out of the apartment when its on so I can watch!!

Yeah, I liked this show last season. I adored that girl that won; she really was fantastic. Though I can't count on being able to watch ANYTHING religiously unless I make a huge deal about it. Actually, all of them are so talented.

Steph- I can't either, so I have all my shows set to record. Then if I miss it, I can still watch it.

I like this show too. I tend to get bored with it, but just like AI if I skip the result shows I get less bored with it. And that Mary chick gets on my nerves!

Steph - I loved Sabra too - she was so sweet and seemed really genuine. Especially considering that she was paired with Dominic... although I love the hiphoppers it must be really hard during rehearsals since they have no training... poor thing was dropped so many times!!

I watched it a little last year. One of my friends from highschool tried out. YouTube - Brandon Norris Unfortunately he didn't make it very far and I stopped watching.

Mary? Is that the judge that screams? Yeah, I was over that really fast too... There were so many dynamite performances between all the different dancers.

I don't much care for the results shows (for any of those type shows) either; there is too much filler and I get bored very easily too Sarah.

I remember him! He came out looking like this sort of nerdy guy doing a goofy dance, then completely amazed me! I really liked him. He was off really early, but I still remember the judges talking about him being the best clogger they'd ever seen.

Sarah - DH wanted to read so I got to watch last night too!! BJ was really good at his solo dance but even in the tiny clip they showed of the choreography you could see he couldn't follow it. I like the other guy from two nights ago - the strip club DJ - he made it to Vegas so that should be fun to watch although I doubt he'll make it too much further. I couldn't believe they showed so much from the strip club though!!

I remember Brandon Norris too... his clogging was sick but I guess its really hard when you have such a specific style and can't do any others.

What did you think of the giant banana goofball... he made me laugh hysterically!!!

He was funny! I loved the head/foot scoot move he did. Did you notice his name? It was "Phucdat." Is that REALLY his name? I had the volume muted when his name came up on the screen, so I don't know if there was any sort of comment about it. I know he's asian, so I really couldn't figure out if it was a joke or not. I'm guessing yes, though... ?

I saw a couple of blogs and his name is listed as Phucdat Nguyen... I'm surprised the show would let it in if it was fake!! But I'm sure its a joke and I guess he's semi-famous:

So any favorites from the top 20? I can't think of anyone I really love yet especially since there are some that I don't remember even seeing in the auditions. There were a couple of people that didn't make it that upset me - at the end of the guys I really thought the other guy should have made it (the one who tried out 3 years ago when he was 15 and lied about his age) and also there was this guy who did a routine with a hat and all these tricks - I thought his audition was awesome so I was sad he didn't make the final cut.
