I must have missed that conversation . I remember listening to The tide is high on a 45 on my record player in 3rd grade. I'm waiting for it now....what's a 45?

I thought I hit it big time when I got the Saturday Night Fever album. My parents had a stereo that was as long as the wall and it had a record player. Saturday Night Fever was it

I loved Kenny Rogers. I also like Alabama. I had an 8track player in the shape of a square. It would open up in half, then you had to slam the 8 track in pretty hard.

My mom was not cool at all and would always be listening to Elvis and all those dorky 50's and 60's songs. There were lots of good songs in the 60's but she had to play the dumb ones . But when I would visit my dad, he'd have the radio on a good station. I remember I would cry when I heard one of Kenny Roger's songs. I can't remember the name of it now, but I know it will come to me. My stepdad also always listened to FM radio. So it was nice when we rode in his car. My mother would only listen to AM.

I loved Total Eclipse of the Heart! Wasn't that in the 80's? That was a great song. I had Saturday Night Fever on tape. That was a great album, too!

Regina - Actually, I don't mind Elvis. It was that other tacky music she listened to that was annoying. I remember moving to a new school and a girl asked me what kind of music I listened to (this was in 4th grade) and I didn't have a clue. I had to think real quick and I said "Um I don't know...Elvis?" The girl looked at me really funny and said "Elvis??" I think my mom could have scarred me for life.

My DH is a huge Elvis fan. That is all his parents listened to. The girls call this baby Elvis and they have an Elvis night light but I hate that music. My parents were totall hippys and we were always listening to the Eagles and that era of stuff. Isnt it fun to think how that all influenced our lives.

Okay, I just looked up the name of the Kenny Roger's song that used to make me cry. You won't believe this, but I pulled up the lyrics, and darn it if it doesn't still make me cry . Oh, and the song is: She Believes in Me.

Lisa - I love the Eagles, too .

about Tony the Tiger, Regina. Now I've got the song in my head and I'm all teary-eyed. And to top it all off, Dh just called and said he will be about a half hour late because he has a meeting with some people in China. I guess it's morning over there now. I hope they like to keep their meetings short and sweet!
