Exclamation Anyone up for a Digital Scrapbooking Contest? Winner will get....

ANYONE UP FOR A DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING CONTEST???????????
For those of you that are digital scrapbooking I will have a fun little contest in the next 2 months or sooner. I was thinking the winner would win a $5 GC for one of my fav digiscraping stores.

There is a catch though!

All designs MUST be hand done, no "quickpages - aka smilebox, KODAK pages etc" those submissions will NOT be accepted. You must either use scrapbookflair program, photoshop or any color program and hand place all the papers and embelishments yourself and then the entire board will take a poll as to who the winner will be!

I will have more details coming soon as to what you will need to do and what to scrap!!! If we get enough people interested in the contest we will go ahead with it! This should be fun!!

I'd be interested, though my time is kind of limited right now. I'll watch the thread for details.

No problem Kristy - if we get enough people interested we will leave the window for design open for 1-2 weeks so everyone will have enough time to create 1 page! Even working on it for 20 min each day for those with limited time I think would be sufficient over 1-2 weeks . Im excited!!

Are you going to have categories? Like those that can animate those that can't?

I was just thinking a regular scrappage and no animations to make it simple? What do you think? I just posted the sig I made for Lisa as an example of things you can do with scrapbooking kits.

edit:ya I think its a good idea cause some programs you cant create animations and I want to make it fair for everyone no matter what program they use. So no animations

Sarah - LOL! It's super easy, all you have to do is layer one "graphic" over the next basically, just like how you would with "regular scrapbooking". I believe I have a Video tutorial saved somewhere that shows beginners how to get started with scraping, I will be sure to post that once I locate it!! NO worries!!

Not sure I have a program that I can use to do this. Wonder if I can make paint.net work for me. I do have MS publisher that I made Nathan's announcement with. I could try that too. Can we do 12x12 layouts?

I might be in depending on how I feel about what software programs I have.

Laura - I would say try experimenting with the programs you do have now and see IF you can use them. YOu can download free scrapbooking kits from shabbyprincess.com. Download one and try those programs out. I was going to say any size layout but that is still up in the air, 12x12 might be too big for some people? Im not sure. I dont have room on my pc or I would re-install paint.net to see if it would work with the scrapbooking kits. I cant see why it wouldnt.

Dont forget about Scrapbook Flair Software

Create your own scrapbook pages with Scrapbook Flair Software, a FREE program for designing and sharing digital scrapbooks. This works pretty good and I used this before I reinstalled photoshop on my pc , it makes scrapbooking EASY PEAZEY!!

Laura- I'm not much into computers OR scrapping, but I've been using scrapbookflair, which is REALLY easy to download (I also have some shabbyprincess, like Tammy mentioned.)

Tammy- I don't think size will matter much, since you can change the size of the photos and embellishments to fit the page. Or are you thinking their computers can't handle viewing 12x12?
