so this is going to sound stupid but do any of you feel a competition with friends when trying to get pregnant?? maybe the word competition isnt what i am looking for but the girls are going to wake up any minute now and i cant think of another word!!! my really really good friend is going to start trying next month to get pregnant with her second. I kind of feel like i need to get pregnant too!! maybe it is because we were just a couple of weeks apart when i was pregnant with the girls and she was pregnant with her daughter. i think because i am doing another ivf cycle here shortly i feel that way to. or it might just come down to the fact that i am going crazy!!!

Lisa - my friend is TTC #1 for about 7-8 months now and when I told her I was pg she said it felt like a race, but I had won. I guess she gets a second chance to win though. I do know what you mean though.

cassie i am glad you understand. i dont want to make it seem like a win/loss situation because no matter who gets pregnant first everyones wins with a baby. i guess it just that natural human competition thing. who knows!!!

Lisa-I don't necessarily feel competition, just more of a sense of urgency I guess. When my friend found out she was PG in March, I then felt a sense of urgency to get PG right away so we could be PG buddies, and I actually got PG that next month. Now that she is halfway through, and I'm back to square one, I don't feel that same urgency. I know too though that I wouldn't necessarily want to be the "winner" if I had a friend who was TTC and I got PG first. Sorry for the novel.

Bina - Yes that is how I would describe it... I had that when our friends were trying at the same time as us... Then I got pregnant and I would pray everyday that they would get pregnant soon. They are now adopting because they didn't have any luck getting pregnant.

Okay so I am NOT on this boat...I had a wacky two day period two weeks ago in the midle of the month. I have been starting around the 1st each month or even a week early SO that being said with that two day brown blood whatever you want to call it and not having a actual period yet...I am nervous. SO I talked to dh lastnight and brought it up that IF I was to be preggo that he would not be in good health because I would be inflicting bodily harm on him! I called him to remind him to bring a test home this afternoon. I will hopefully update a BFN later. I really love my kids but do NOT want anymore so after this scare I will be on him to get the V that he promised me or else I will have to get back on a form of BC. I will keep yall posted.

Yes, Karen! Go get a test! why wait, it's better to take it in the morning, right?
 Oh, my. My back is KILLING me. It hasn't hurt like this since......hmmm, the last time I got a BFP.  Hopefully it's just a symptom of AF, although I've never had it before.

Jenna I wish a BFN for me and a BFP for you!!
I tested and got a negative but if AF doesn't show in a week I will retest. For full info see the August toddler thread.

Bina~ We used a spermicide (this film thingy that we've never used before. Dh and I don't like condoms!) on cd12 and cd16 but the rest of the time we didn't use anything. Since I'm not charting or anything I have no idea when O occured, though I've always had a 28-30 day cycle with O in the middle. Who knows what will happen? I would be surprised to be pregnant! I'm thinking my back is killing me because AF is on her way.
