Kanieka- I totally agree! That sucks big time that they are getting out of coughing up the goods.
Well, DH officially thinks I've lost it. I am planning on throwing Dominic an un-birthday party to celebrate his first 100 days of life. Those teachers on here know what I'm talking about. December 14th Dominic will be 100 days old and we are going to have a mad-hatter party to celebrate. I already came up with the invites. They are so cute! I'll take pictures and post them hopefully tomorrow. I am already getting excited. |

Jo - Your party idea sounds like fun!! I don't think I had it together enough to throw a party at that time!!
Keep us posted on the theme and plans!! Sparky - Sorry, no help here...mine didn't swell at all. You do lose a lot of fluid over the first few weeks though. That sucks about the car seats. I think Target needs to own up to their mistake. Ava was a little stinker last night!! We made the mistake of rocking her to sleep and if she wakes up pick her up and rock her again...well she apparently has decided that she would like to be held all night long!! So we would lay her down and she would cry pick her up rock her...sleep..lay her down...cry. Finally she went to sleep for a little while like a 1/2 hour!! Then back awake so I rocked her and fell asleep until 4am. Laid her down...cry. by then we just decided to let her cry...that is not easy! She fell asleep mid cry about 20 minutes after bellowing and grunting! How did you put your kids to bed?? Awake? Did you rock them to sleep? Ugh, we need help!! |

Dana- The theme will be all things 100 mad-hatter style. We will have a crazy cake and wear crazy hats and we will have card games out to play..you know like the king of hearts in Alice In Wonderland? Then we will have a 100-pc puzzle to put together (with Dominic's photo), and some other random 100 activities for the kids to do. DH wants to have a 100 bottles of beer on the bar display. That could get expensive, but I like the idea! Here are the invites. I totally blanked on using the King of Hearts instead of the clubs. Oh well...

Jo - those are really cute!! What a fun party!
I'm not sure what to think...AF was due on Tuesday...she still isn't here and I've tested twice...BFN...Is it normal to vere off the track like this?? I have been having a normal cycle since about August. Now this?? I felt O pains around day 14 so I think I O'd. Ugh. My body hates me! |

Dana- I can't help you...I still haven't had a pp AF.
Not quite sure when to expect her. I've been having some very light spotting in my cm lately so I am sure that's a cue that she is on her way. DH even suggested that I take an HPT just to make sure. I have avoided buying one in hopes that he's just plain crazy! It's hard to chart my temps so I have just been watching my cm. TCOYF says that you can have several patches of cm leading up to AF when you are bf so you never know when she'll show. Ugh! |

Amber- welcome! It's so good to have you back. I read your story. How scared you must have been, but I'm SO glad it all worked out okay. Sounds like you are recovering nicely.
Like you said, it is amazing. Be sure to take photos daily as Graham will change SO MUCH day to day. Happy belated birthday, btw. Still no word from Heidi. Surely she'll let us know. After all the boys being born I wanna see a little girl! Dana- Ava is 5 months and only weighs 15 pounds? Is she tiny? I weighed Dominic yesterday (my sister let me borrow her baby scale) and he is 11 lbs, 10 oz. He's making up for his small birth weight!! |

Jo - No, she is pretty average...50th percentile. She doesn't have rolls but is fairly long. She was 16.4lbs yesterday. I think that is pretty normal according to the clothes and the weight recommedndations. 3-6 mo is 12-16 lbs she is starting into 6-9 month now. You must have a big boy there!!
Amber - congrats!! Get ready to master typing with one hand! they are so worth it!! |

Dana- I guess that's about right. I keep forgetting that next Friday Dominic will be 3 months already!!!! I have a feeling, though, that Dominic is going to chub out pretty soon. My DH was little more than a weeble-wobble at 6 months. No neck whatsoever. So far D's stayed proportionate (fingers crossed).

Jo--I guess I have a little piglet on my hands; it is so funny that he weighs close to what Dominic weighs when he is only two weeks old! What a chub!
Amber--How much did Graham weigh? Well, I was up all night with Ely. He is not crabby, he doesnt cry much, but he is in pain and it is very obvious. He keeps puking and it hurts him from the acid reflux, so I let him sleep on me all night (which seems to help). We are starting him on Prevacid probably on Monday. I hope it helps. We are going on our first outing tonight; we are going out for Indian food (yumm). The Indian restaraunt that we go to all the time is usually pretty dead until later, so we figure we will go around 5 and beat all the rush. That way if things go awry, at least we are not in a full restaraunt. Jo--Have you figured out any great tips on public breastfeeding? We are not going to introduce any bottles until 5 weeks at our doctors advice, so if he gets hungry, it is boob time. I am bringing a little shawl to put on, which should do the job, but it is going to be wierd because at home I always use the boppy to nurse (partly because I still have stitches and after popping a few I am super nervous about putting all 10.5 lbs of his weight on them!) |

Krissy- He was 7 pounds even. Poor Ely! I hope the prevacid helps. I just about cry when Graham gets his foot stuck, I know it has to break your heart.
![]() Ok, I have a question. Graham sleeps quite a bit which I know is normal but he sleeps for a few hours at a time. I try to wake him up to feed him but he just won't have it. I stopped my motrin completely for a day to see if it would help and it didn't. By time the poor guy wakes up he is so hungry he can't stand himself. I have to cuddle him for 20 or 30 minutes just to get him calm enough to latch. So far I've tried changing his diaper(he HATES the whole affair), stripping him down to his diaper(to see if it will chill him a little bit), and flicking the bottom of his foot(MIL said it worked on her boys) and none of it seems to work!!!! ![]() |
