Jo - Awesome on donating your hair! Isn't it great when they sleep so well for you? I couldn't resist buying Ava shoes either. She has little Nikes! They are adorable! We also have little slip-on ones that are too cute. I love dressing baby too! It is an expensive habit I have though!!
Ava is rolling now. She makes it from one side of the room to the other. The other day my MIL said she rolled half way under the couch! I wan't too thrilled about that but I guess I wasn't there so I have to trust they are taking care of her? I think she will be crawling soon. She sometimes gets a knee underneith her and goes forward. I'm in trouble!! Keep your stuff off the floor! |

Jo--as always, he is adorable! He seems so tiny; but it is just because my newborn is almost 10 lbs!
Well, Looks like we will be in the hospital for an extended stay. I posted an update on Elyas and my birth story under the "Congratulations Krissy and Welcome Ely" thread that someone started for us. Thanks for all your well wishes, I am going to get a few pic's up tonight. I was waiting to get some without all the tubes. I am so glad to FINALLY be on the baby side! And it looks like Jen will be joining us shortly! |

Yay--my first post on the baby side! I am SO happy to be a mom, and SO happy to not be pregnant anymore! Here are a few pic's of my new little man (I posted these on the preggo side, too)

Thanks---I am So in love! He is doing pretty good today; he has a lot of company in the NICU now. They delivered triplets last night! I will be discharged this afternoon, but they have given me this room as a "hospitality" stay. So, I get to stay here until Ely is released, unless they absolutely "need" the room, in which case I will be sleeping on a couch in the NICU. He will hopefully be getting out of here by Tuesday if all goes well. They came and took his pictures this morning; I don't think we are going to order any, but they are SOO cute! Well, I just nursed, so I better get into the shower before he gets hungry again! He nurses all the time! My milk has started coming in, so hopefully I will get more of a break between nursings now. He looks like he is in a good milk coma right now, so I'm hoping he sleeps for a few hours. He never cries; just wakes up and roots around looking for the nipple. He is very happy as long as my boob is out! I hope he stays this happy!

Krissy- SO glad to hear that nursing is going so well! You can prepare for it, but never really know how it's going to go until the l.o. gets here.
Well, here are some photos from before and after my haircut. It's hard to see the shorter 'do, but it's only me here so I had to use the tripod. Before shot After shot |

Jo--Your hair looks adorable!
Rac--No, they don't know for sure what caused the infection. It could be from meconium aspiration, GBS, or perhaps he or I were just ill. He was under quite a bit of stress in the birth canal, as well. His doctor told me that I can plan on taking him home around noon on Monday, as long as his bloodwork continues to show improvement, and he was very optimistic that it would. In the meantime, I am staying with him at the hospital. He seems to be doing really well; he has no "signs" of infection that I can decipher! So, I just got peed on for the first time. I put Ely in a really cute little jammy outfit, and then realized he needed a diaper change. When I was changing it, he peed ALL OVER me, the cute outfit, and the bed! I got him all cleaned up (I think), and into a new outfit, which was difficult because he was bawling and I couldn't help but laugh. DH wasn't here; too bad, I know he would have really gotten a kick out of this! |
