tammy - glad that alyssa is napping for you...she definitely had a later night than usual. abby did too...didn't go to bed til 10:15. last weekend at the camper, friday night she stayed up til 12:30am!

Bina thanks for the TRU update. I will check it out. I need to buy a High Chair and a new jog stroller. Along with some new toys.

Thanks for the well wishes for my Jackson. He is cuddling again and we took him for a long walk lastnight. I think he is starting to feel some better. I really HATE to leave him while we are on vacation but the place doesn't allow pups. My FIL will take good care of him though. He even lets him sleep in his bed like he does with us. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him with anyone else but my FIl. Jackson's vet is going to call FIL to check in with him Monday. Dr Hyatt is such a good caring vet. Praise the lord for people like him.

I just got back from a long run and boy do I feel better after getting those endorphines pumping. I have been forcing myself this week(with AF it hasn't been easy) The lady next door thinks I am a loon. She says are you going for a run EVERYDAY? Like I am weird....I said well when I can. She just shakes her head...What does that mean?? Weird lady. hahahah

So we had a cookout planned today and called to confirm withour friends and they cancelled. DH said well were they going to TELL us...What if we had already started to marinate the meat and all that. Some people are so strange. But none the less we will still have a cookout jsut our family of four and enjoy. Planning to wash the truck and get it ready for our trip. I have started packing a few things (sheets, towels, etc.) Carter is starting to get impatient. His attitude lately has been so sassy and hateful...I am thinking I may wnat to leave him at home. I wouldn't but I sure hope he doesn't make th trip miserable with his actions. One never knows with kids.

Dh is out for a run now and when he gets back I may sit out in the sun for awhile with Carter and relax a bit. Talk to you girls later.

karen - glad to hear that jackson is perking back to himself. that's great you have someone that can take care of him that you really trust and know he'll be taken care of right. that's the best kind! have a nice cookout today with your family....the nerve of some people...

off to the movies with dh and abby. we are going to see Transformers...abby's first movie! (maybe i can sneak into Ocean's 13 or something...LOL )

Lauren - I'd be sneaking in to another movie too. MIL wants to take the whole family, including Hannah, to the movies tonight - mmm, I think 8 weeks is a little young, so we're not going.

Gotta go pack what seems like a suitcase to go to the ILs for the day.

Kelly 8 wks is the perfect age. We took Riley with Carter all the time when she was that young but now she is too alert to stay still andquiet. Take advantage while she is young and will sleep through it all. if she gets cranky you can nurse her since it is dark and she will fall asleep.

Lauren Carter is DYING to see Transformers. His dad has promised to take him soon. They play with them all the time. Dh used to watch them and play with them when he was little and now they are back. Have fun!

My best friend called me in tears this am. Her brother died last night in a car accident. It is all so horrible. He was only 23. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Kelly, I agree, 8 weeks is a great age. Harkins Theatre in Southlake has a Summer Movie Deal 10 kid movies for $5.00 (we saw Wallace and Gromot; The curse of the Were-Rabbit today). This is our 5th week going so that means Jack was 8 weeks old when we took him to the first movie. He just nurses most of the movie and then sleeps. He has never cried so I say go for it!

First off....Transformers was GREAT! wow...i had no interest in seeing it and it was amazing. i'm so glad that abby did good because i didn't want to leave and to take her home....LOL. since dh was the one that really wanted to see it, i said if abby got fussy i would take her home and then come get him when it was over. luckily she didn't...cause i really liked it. who would have thought a robot would get you emotional!

pandc- i'm sorry to hear about your friend and her family. they are in my thoughts...

Christie - That is horrible about your friend's brother. So tragic, I pray that they have the strength to get through the next couple of days.

On the movie topic - my son was and is a movie addict. We started taking him at like 7 weeks. When the lights went out he opened his mouth to start crying and then when the screen turned on he was in awe! We started at about 9 weeks.

Now we have to step it up and notch and do the IMAX....which Harry Potter will be on!!!!!!!!!!

I think starting a new picture thread is a gread idea. Jonathan and I look at them every sunday night but then during the week I want to show DH and I can't find the ones I want to show him.

karen - dh and i both think that it's ok for carter to see. they barely swear, maybe 3 or 4x and there is really no sexual content to it either. the visual effects are amazing!

thanks kristy he first did the one that you sent me, but when it was printed the color didn't come out right....so then he found this one. i like her pic too...but i think they look more professional without her pic. i'm just not sure...
