Kristy - I was thinking a/b that yesterday. I have been having some type of cm, I guess it's sticky. Anyway, when I was pg, I was really sensitive to smell and it kind of made me sick - things like lotion, perfume. Yesterday after DH left, I could smell his cologne for like an hour. and I was super tired. And I thought, maybe I'm pg again? Then I thought that wouldn't be so bad until I realized I'd have a newborn at Hannah's first b-day party I may buy some Dollar Tree tests to keep around the house.

cassie - ab's pedi said that she shouldn't have under 16oz of formula a day. she normally doesn't...these past couple of days have been the firsts...i'll see today how she does...but you can't force them either. they are either hungry or they are not...

tammy - yah to a sleepover!!

Kedney - Thanks for the info on water it made me feel better I thought I was giving her too much water. I understand how you feel about never being pregnant again it is very sad.

We are going to the mall today. DH went to get a haircut and Madison went with him and Lela is sleeping so I enjoying a few minutes of quiet time.

I forget who asked what a stab vest is and it is a vest kind of like a bullet proof vest but it is made to stop you from being stabbed because the prisoners are very good at making their own knives.

Lauren - I've thought about cutting back on the food. I mean she gets Fruit/Veggie/Veggie a day. She didn't really want her breakfast this morning though so before nap time she finished a bottle she had started a little earlier...so about 12 oz so far today. I'm going to try giving her supper earlier. I normally do it around 6:30...I'll move it up to 5 or 5:30 then maybe she'll have one last bottle before bed.

Kelly - would't that be a nice suprise! We plan on trying next summer so if it just so happens before then, I don't care either, but I'm back on my BCP and that's our only protection. It worked fine for the first 7 or what ever years we were together.

"fradentical", lou, that's funny! I think I get what you mean about them looking different; I've had friends who were identicals, and I had a few pair when I was teaching vacation bible school and in the nursery, and it doesn't take long usually to tell them apart. I had friends when I was a teenager where one was a shade taller and maybe 10 lbs heavier.

I was watching a show about identical quads the other day, I forget the name of the family, but on the show the girls were about 5 (starting kindergarten), and the dad said that with two of them, he could tell them apart automatically, but the other two, he has to look a little closer.

Life has been horrific lately, but I'm still putting one foot in front of the other...I'm exhausted.

And the rain isn't just in Houston; we're water-logged in San Antonio too!

cassie - yah, maybe moving her feedings around a little and see if she drinks more formula. maybe daycare is feeding her a lot of solids and then she's not wanting formula at home in the evening? just a thought...

robin - abby is napping right now too...and dh is at work so i'm getting some quiet time

dh and his driver started work at 5:30 this morning. the driver asked permission to start early today since it's saturday they want to get done early..and it's the driver's bday. so they got done at noon (which is GREAT!) and the boss is sending them back out for another route. so now he probably won't be home til about 6 or 7...i'm sad...now i get to go to a friends bday party this afternoon with just me and abby....

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

Cassie - I just watched the vid you posted, Rhylee is such a big girl. What a doll you have she is so cute rocking back and forth I just melted watching that!! Makes me remember when my little girl did that hehe We are all so lucky and blessed to have these babies in our lives!! Does the daycare write down how much food they give Rhylee? and do they tell you when they need more jars of food, or do you each Monday send that weeks worth? Maybe they are giving her too much, but then again maybe she just wasnt really hungry today.. Alyssa was like that for both her bfast and some of her lunch today, I was like deep down inside, its so hard making sure they get what they need sometimes but all babies are different and somedays they just dont feel like eating much

Lauren - poopy that sucks I forget but what is your dh's new job? Have fun at the bday party, Im sure Abby is very entertaining

Karen How are things hun? I have a question for you as you might know, can you buy staps to go on sunglasses for babies? Alyssa is forward facing now and we have a 2door car and cant put those sunblocker things in the windows and alyssa wont wear sunglasses for more than 1min, so I was thinking of finding a elastic stap to keep them on her face, the other day we were coming home and the sun was in her face so bad, she puts her hands over her eyes and left them there like that and fell asleep I felt bad but at least she knows what to do it was really cute, she is a smarty

Robin - Have fun at the mall with your family!!

Today is finally a nice day, after 3 days of rain but Im just not in the mood to go out, I was going to go with dh to buy some clothes but Im just not in the mood for being dissapointed when I go out, its always the trend for me when shopping for clothes, I never can find something that fits properly Im always inbetween sizes it seems . So we are just going to chill and cuddle and watch some movies dh took alyssa over to his mom's so we have the whole day and night

Judith I am so glad the Milk of Mag. worked for Mason! that is great! so you gave him 1 tsp? I wonder how much different it is from the Senokot that I have I havent tried giving it to her latley but the other day I did give her 1ml and it didnt really do anything, I was nervous about giving her 2ml again because it almost gave her the big D that time. but I guess If i have to give her something Im going to start giving her that more often after what kedney has told me about M of Mag. and her dd being on it for months . How are things today? And I am so sorry about your installation for the dishwasher, Im sure your super and have called them about it. Is the dishwasher even the right model that your ordered?

Lauren I havent been able to see your ticker in a few days

lauren- wow 8 for abby! Kaitlyn almost has a 6th coming in this morning that we can see. Kaitlyn has done great w/ teething, no fussiness and we've only had to use orajel once. Its great abby is walking around the furniture, sounds like she is doing the same thing kaitlyn did once we got the walker.
Her party is Hugs & Stitches, mostly because her room is flowers and butterflies and dragonflies. Eric and i love to cook so of course he wants to make all this food, and it doesnt help my family is cajun so he's used to seeing many different entree type foods at get-togethers..which we are leaving today to go to louisiana for my middle neices bday party but its tomorrow.

As for the daycare we really cant afford it but i feel i should do what i need to to be sure she gets the education, so to speak, she needs at her age. Plus i dont want her to keep getting bit either!

i got some new pictures we took 2wks ago of kaitlyn:

Ang- Love Kaitlyn's outfit. The pictures are all really cute.

Lauren- Sorry about DH's job and missing the party. Did he get paid for the holiday this week?

Kelly- Are you going to test? Hopefully the BF is keeping O away. Can you imagine a newborn AT her 1st birthday party. LOL

Kedney- Sounds like you will have a 4th. Yes, the 1 tsp is working w/ the food so far!!

Tammy- I think senekot is stool softener. Phillips milk of magnesia is a saline laxative. Is Alyssa enjoying her new milk & cheese?? A friend of mine just found out her 12 month old DD is severely allergic to milk, eggs and cheese. She was BF for 1 year and she didn't give any milk products so they had no clue. 1/2 piece of cheese and she broke out head to toe in hives, wasn't breathing right and was vomiting. Then she tried milk and same thing. So now she has to do all vegan. She said it is so hard. Almost everything even baby food jars she said has milk products in it. I can't even imagine. Oh and she has to carry an epi pin with her too.

Cassie- I think it's good you are giving her more formula. I have read in a few books and my doctor said babies main source of nutrition is formula/BM until 1 year old. I just read one of the reasons they suggest waiting on solids until 6 months is because they don't want babies to build up to mostly food too early and get too full and not eat their formula which they absorb so much more from at this stage than food.

My pedi said 24-32 oz. of formula per day until 1 year old. She said usually around 9-10 months it will be 3 - 8oz bottles because they will be eating more solids then. She said some babies are just hungrier and if Mason still wants 4-5 bottles give them to him. Mason eats about 30 oz. of formula a day. (Five 6 oz. bottles) I wait until he asks/ cries for it and he always wants those 5 bottles. Now as he eats more food I would imagine that will taper off.

Lauren/Tammy/Judith - they do write what she eats at the day care. They give her fruit w/ Cereal in the Morning, then a veggie around lunch time. I do send the 2.5 oz containers and she eats it all. They say she normally drinks like 5 oz of her 6 oz bottles...she usually gets 2 a day there. It's just when she gets home or even like I said in the morning after sleepng all night. She's refused her solids all day today and pretty much drank all of her 3 bottles so far! Maybe I could ask that they only give her 1/2 the container with a little cereal to thicken as one serving

Ang - those pics are SOOOO cute! I love that little outfit too. She's very pretty!

Judith - I guess I'll take a test if I get a chance to go to the dollar store sometime soon. I'm planning to use Natural Family Planning to prevent pg until we're ready to try again. My dr. told me I could wait 12 weeks to start charting again as BF will probably keep O away. But I guess I'll buy several $ store tests and take one once/month or something for piece of mind.

Kelly- Lisa told me about this and we have been using this with the pull out method. So far so good. I just don't take a chance and don't do anything when I know I am ovulating since I got pg pretty quickly both times.

I wonder if OPK's would work and tell you if you O or not?? I know some people do and some don't BF. I don't think I did until I got my period when Mason was 4 months old because I get bad pains when I O and I didn't have any.

Cassie- Good idea about maybe doing 1/2 the amount of food so she will take more oz. of formula. I know Rhylee was eating more solids in one sitting than Abby or Mason does. Which down the road will be great for you when it's time to introduce more and wean from formula.

Judith I have no clue what the difference is but the one we have is SenokotŪ a natural source laxative it doesnt have a stool softener in it

http://senokot.ca/en/faqs/default.asp#10

the mil was hounding me asking if I give alyssa butter or margerine etc, as she says it"slicks" their bms... well whatever and yes I give it to her,
she gets all her food groups and even some butter etc . I talk to her more than my own mother she is driving me crazy and also asking me if she is getting enough fat in her diet . Then dhs gma goes on to say that her 2 kids lived off of meat, potatos and a veggie everyday all day and they were fine

I will ask my dr about it Monday

Tammy- Maybe they are similar laxatives then. I never heard of butter slicking your stools. Meat, veggies, blah blah. People are nuts and should know better that not every child or person is the same. Find something they can't do or eat and tell them well Alyssa does why can't you.
