Kristy - Sorry you are having such a rough day. Be glad it's only 2 days a week, which I know none would be better!!! I hope that it gets easier for you. I know I alway said I wouldn't want to be a SAHM, I take it back I take it back . It sucks counting the minutes to be with them again!

Yesterday when we were at the ILs, there were some people there with a 3 month old baby. She cried non-stop the whole time we were there. It made me realize what a good baby Hannah is (even though she's a little crabby today).

Tammy-hehe, the couple across the hall from us in the hospital were in our delivery class...their baby was screaming the entire time and they sent him to the nursery for awhiile to get a break. Well the nurses SENT HIM BACK because he was keeping all the other babies awake and upsetting them

Hi everyone!!!!!!! I know I've been MIA for awhile and soooo much has been going on. I have to read through to catch up and post...I have a few minutes so I'll let you know what's been going on. First of all, my dad has been in and out of the hospital. He had heart valve replacement 2 years ago and has been having some complications with that. They anticipate that he'll be fine, but we've been so worried!! On top of that my twin nieces (they're 6 months old) have BOTH been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis....my brother and SIL also have a 2 year old son so we've been really trying to help them out lately. It's really been stressful around here and just makes me realize how thankful I am that Shane just has allergies and reflux. Those are things we can definitely deal with. My brother and SIL have been told that the life expectancy is usually in the early 30's sometimes sooner....so they are just completely devestated right now.

Shane is doing so well right now. He's getting sooo big and I just love this little man to pieces. He sleeps from 9:00 -7:00 every night and hasn't woken up at night in about a month or so. We also FINALLY have him on a nap schedule twice a day and he usually naps 2 hours each one. He has 4 teeth and THEY HURT!!!! lol...he's bitten me a few times. He weighs about 17 1/2 pounds now!!!! He's almost crawling...he does the inch worm thing. I've missed chatting with you guys and I'll catch up later tonight!!!

Talk to ya'll soon

Happy bday melissa!

Lauren-i cant believe how many teeth abby has! Kaitlyn has her 3rd and 4th coming in but all are in the bottom middle. Is she scaling the edges of things yet?

Kaitlyn only says dada and mama and signs milk and waves byebyes but understands eat and milk signs. She has been crawling for about 2mo and standing the last month and walks through the house w/ her push toy but only stands a few moments w/o help..no walking. Im thinking of taking her out of the daycare she is at because we love the infant room she is in but soon after she's one she will join the others and its just so unorganized where they are out in the big room w/ the others and are only in a sectioned off area. They dont really learn much. We pay ahead so we get a discount and pay about $90/wk but there is a new day care the same distance from the house (about 2 mi) and they have a curriculum and charge $120/wk. The extra $30/wk=$120/mo plus my new schedul i start this coming week will have me driving to work myself and DH driving himself and us not carpooling together and that will be an extra $100/mo in gas so we're looking at a total of $220/mo extra ontop of the $320 van pymt and daycare costs we never had before and the loss of income we both have from Citi firing 17000 this past year. I dont know how im going to do it. But i really think no matter what we have to do, even if charging the difference each month its worth it for kaitlyn to have a good start on education and learning since i cant afford to stay home w/ her.

I know its a lot but what do you all think?

Its just so blah!

Kelly - Lela was such a laid back infant and was so easy going and didn't cry much I thought wow this is so easy well she is a very curious toddler and into everything lol.

Kedney - Happy 3 month birthday Jack. Wow I can't believe he is already 3 months old.

Judith - Poor Mason. I hope your back starts to feel better soon. It sounds like you had a really nice 4th.

Tammy - Thanks for picky eater thread I have to go check it out.

Oh I forgot to tell you girls what happened to Lela last night I thought for sure we were going to the ER but thankfully we didn't have to. We were at the picnic and I had noticed that there was a candle (one to keep the bugs away) burning on the table well I didn't notice that someone had moved it and it was within Lela's reach well I was sitting at the picnic table and Lela walked behind me and just out of the corner of my eye I spotted the candle and Lela going for it but by the time I almost fell trying to get out of the picnic table and got to her she had already stuck in hands both of them in there and was screaming so I pulled her hands out and she had HOT was on both hands all the way up to her wrists so I started wiping the wax off and my mom screamed to take her to the cooler so I did and put both her hands in the ice water there well she didn't like that so I kept trying to look at her hands and she was fighing me she didn't want me to look she kept putting her head on my shoulder and putting her hands between us and screaming. My SIL is a nurse so she got a look at her hands and she said they didn't look burnt at all. So once Lela calmed down I was able to get a really good look and she has one blister on her middle finger and that is it. When I saw her hands going in the candle I thought for sure it was going to be bad. So once I realized she was okay I broke down crying because I felt like the worst mommy ever!!!! My dad kept telling me it wasn't my fault but I am her mommy I am supposed to protect her and keep her from harm and I failed. But the good thing is that she is okay. Sorry for the novel.

ang - sounds like kaitlyn is doing great! abby's 8th tooth popped thru yesterday...it's crazy how many she's got! how's kaitlyn doing with the teething?? abby is starting to walk around the furniture better just in the last day and a half. she's been using her walker now and today she was standing all on her own! so hopefully soon she'll be walking. she says mama, dada, and dog. and she does hold conversations with us, just nothing you can understand LOL and as for the daycare...if you think you can afford it, i say go for it. what do you have planned for kaitlyn's party??

robin - OMG that is so scary! i'm sooo glad that she didn't get burnt! you are not a bad mommy....you still reacted and got her in the ice water and were there to comfort her. that's all lela knows, that mommy was there for her, not that mommy didn't see...

Ang - We were posting at the same time. I think that Kaitlyn sounds like she is doing everything just right. It is actually early to walk before 12 months so I wouldn't be concerned with that at all. That is great that she is doing the signs I wish I would do it more with Lela but I always seems to forget she does the sign for "more" but in her own way but I know what she means. Sorry about the daycare situation.

Tammy - Poor Alyssa.

Hollie - I am so sorry about your little nieces that must be so hard for their parents to find that out. You and your whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Robin I am soooo sorry OMG Im glad Lela is ok. I can totally imagine how you feel.

Ang I agree sounds like Kaitlyn is doing well & the walking will come when she is ready, most babies dont walk til around 13 months old, so dont worry. As for the daycare only really you can decide, if you feel putting her into another daycare will benefit her more than I say go for it!!

Lauren 8 Teeth

Judith I forgot to comment on Mason, Im so sorry you are still having a rough time. I know what it is like trying to get them to cry it out, it just doent work for us. Alyssa is sleeping in our bed as we speak
