Krissy- OMG, that gave me goosebumps!

I met DH in a bar (how original, right?). I was cruising around, checking out the goods when DH and this woman walk by me-she had him by the hand. He said hello to me and all I could think of was "OMG, I can't believe he talked to me with that girl! What a jerk". Well that happened a second time and finally I spotted him standing alone in the corner. (BTW, at this point I was-er-a bit tipsy) So I walked up to him and said "are you WITH that girl?" And he said "she's married" I gave him a look like, wow you are jerk. Then he studdered and clarified that she had hit on him and told him her DH was deployed. DH said NO way, I dont' do married chicks and this woman took it upon herself to drag DH around the bar looking for a woman for him to go home with.

So, DH buys me a drink. The first woman then brought a little hot blonde bimbo to DH for his approval and interrupted us. I asked DH point blank if he was interested in her and he said no so I simply moved to the other side of DH at the bar-between him and blondie and turned my back to her. LOL.

I went home with him that night because he he didn't want me driving home drunk. The next morning he informed me that he only dated to find a wife. He was out to get married-worked for me!

I'm with Claire, sort of.... I was out at the bar with a guy I'd been on again off again with for about 8 months or so when I hear someone say my name behind me. Well, it was a girl I went to highschool with...

She was like OMG MARIE!!! ... Do you remember Justin Gresham?? I was like yeah... Justin and I had grown up our entire lives together but never really talked much. In fact, we were the least likely couple EVER!! His grandma cut my hair for about 15 years... so I definitely knew him. Well, she tells me to follow her and low and behold there was Justin Gresham. He looked SO different and SO much better than he did in school. About two minutes later he kissed me. I thought he was just out to get laid, so I kept telling him I'm not looking for that, that's not what I want, I am a relationship kinda girl not a fling kinda girl... and he assured me that he wasn't looking for a fling. Needless to say I didn't see the guy I arrived with until it was time to leave. After I left Justin kept calling me repeatedly, and we had our first date the next day. Three weeks later he asked me to marry him... and on August 22nd we tired the knot. He's the best man I ever could have imagined I would marry... again, who says you can't find a great guy at the bar?

Everyones stories are so great!

Well DH (Thomas) and I worked together at the same company and had never met. My old roomate (who also worked at the same company) met him and invited him over one night. She was the type of girl that liked to get guys to fall for her then she'd sleep with them, treat them very badly and then never talk to them again. Well I figured it was just another one of those things but as soon as DH walked in the door I was instantly attracted to him. I wasn't one to try to steal someones man so I left it alone. But we all started talking and it turned out DH and I had alot in common. We were talking about movies and music and just everything really. My roomate got really mad that DH actually had a personality and didn't just want to jump her bones when he got there and so she went to bed and he left. The next night at work I was about to leave and I got a flat tire in the parking lot and who was there? DH He offered to take me to walmart to get some fix-a-flat and while there we both started talking about a movie we wanted to see so he offered to pick me up at the tire place the next day to go see a movie while my tire was getting replaced.
We hung out that day and neither one of us wanted to leave... I could tell he didn't want me to go and I didn't either, but I decided it would be best because I didn't want to make the roomate mad. We were just hanging out as friends, but the funny thing is we both brought each other mixed cds of songs we thought the other would like. That night I went home and listened to the mixed cds he made me and decided I wanted to see him again so I invited him to a club with some friends the next night. When we were there he grabbed my hand and told me he really liked me. At the time I was worried about my roomate getting mad and kicking me out and I had just gone through a divorce a few months prior from an abusive marriage so I tried to convince him that I wasn't right for him.... he wasn't convinced.. he kissed me... I melted. I told him I wanted to take it slow and he was ok with that.
A few days later I was talking to him on the phone and I said "ok, don't laugh at me but- are we taking it slow like we're in a relationship and taking the relationship slow or are we taking it slow to eventually lead up to a relationship?"... he laughed. We decided we wanted to be together, and that was that! That was February 13th, 2007- the day before Valentines Day. We Got engaged December 23rd (neither one of us could actually wait til Christmas to open our presents). And we were married March 15th 2008!! He is my best friend and the greatest thing to ever happen to me!
