Default how to deal with my b/f's mom?

my b/f's mom is quite controlling and a bit nosy too and I am trying to conceive and I really don't want to tell her right now until I am sure I am well on my way if you know what I mean... if I do get pregnant I will not feel like telling her right away until I am ready! they want to take us out to dinner a lot and I know if I am not feeling well they will (his dad too) want to know why and I will just say I am not feeling well but they are on the nosy side and my b/f's brothers' g/f recently had a baby and she goes nuts over it! it is like she is obsessed with their baby, she even has a crib at her house and she really goes overboard with it, I know I should be thankful but she just seems a bit strange to me.
thanks
from Michelle

This is an issue you and your B/F need to sit down and discuss. Also about your future together too before you have a baby on the way.

If this is an ongoing problem, you might have to talk it over with him and create a little more distance between y'all and his mom. Why would they automatically notice if you aren't feeling well? Do you live with them? My opinion: don't borrow trouble...if you don't feel comfortable discussing it with them...don't. The relationship belongs to you and your boyfriend relationship. If it is solid, and you are heading toward a future together, then you two have to make decisions for yourselves as a couple, and leave his parents out of it. If you two can't agree on something like this, then perhaps a little time and some reevaluation is in order. Good luck.

this sounds just like my mom.

it really is a tough situation that you almost cannot win without hurting someones feelings.

staying away is a nice idea, but she will pick up that you are avoiding her, and it will cause a situation.

i am not sure if there really is a great solution for this...god this sounds so much like my mom it is scary. i really wish you luck with this, and if you find a solution, please let me know
