another recipe, this one is a HUGE hit. my dh and my parents LOVE IT!

One Pan Tacos

1 1/4 lb extra lean ground beef (i use ground turkey)
2 cups water
1 pkg taco seasoning
2 cups minute rice, uncooked
1 1/4 cup mexican style shredded cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 cups chopped tomatoes

Brown meat in a large nonstick skillet;drain.

Add water and seasoning mix;stir. bring to boil.

Stir in rice. sprinkle with cheese; cover. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 min. Top with lettuce and tomatoes. (i also crumble tortilla chips on top).

Makes 5 servings. 9pts each. (if you use 1lbground beef and 1 cup cheese it's 4 servings and 10 pts each).

this meal is so easy!!!!!!!!

karen - the only thing i think you can tell it's turkey when you use it instead of ground beef is spaghetti. and dh doesn't like cheeseburgers with it...but i love it. i season it up really good and i love it. i use it for basically everything. my dad said he didn't like ground turkey and everytime they come that's what i use and he likes it now. jennie O is 160 cal and 8 grams of fat. our grocery store sells ground turkey fresh in the meat dept and it's 140 cal and 8 fat grams. i just went upstairs and looked at the nutrition content of dh's ground round that i get him for burgers and it's 240 cal and 17 fat grams. sometimes i get lean groundbeef (for spaghetti) and i think that's 210 cal and 10 fat grams.

That is a Scottish Terrier on her shirt but we have a black Schnauzer and it looks pretty much like that except he has longer legs and floppy ears. Girl clothes are so fun I know what you mean. I look for ward to when Riley is Alyssa's size and she can really wear outfits.

LOVIN the GIRAFFE hat. SOOO CUTE but then again she is cute in EVERYTHING!

2 tbsp flour
1 envelope golden onion soup mix (i used garlic herb, but want to try the onion next time)
1 cup water
3 medium carrots - cut in chunks (i put in baby carrots)
2 medium red potatoes - cut in wedges (i used about 6 or 7 smaller ones)
6 chicken pieces - skin removed, seasoned with salt and pepper

heat oven to 350.
Shake flour in oven bag - place in 13x9x2 baking pan. add onion soup mix and water to bag. Squeeze bag to blend flour. add carrots - potatoes to bag. Turn bag to coat ingredients with sauce. Sprinkle chicken with seasonings and add to bag. Arrange chicken and vegtables in an even layer in bag. close bag with tie - cut 6 1/2 in. slits on top. Bake.

my dinner was 2 pts for chicken tenderloins, 3 points for 9 wedges of potatoe, 0 points for having under 10 baby carrots. 1 pt for sauce mix.

enjoy!
Lauren which version did you like better, I know u just made the onion one?
