Cassie - No I don't weigh everyday but my weigh-ins are mondays. This Monday was my 1st day I used my new pedometer and so I did weigh in yesterday to see if the extra walking would help kickstart my weightloss again since I was in a plateau the 3rd week on induction phase (I wasnt able to go on those long walks cause all the drama here with you know who coming into my home and then the weather being crappy, then job hunting and I wasnt able to get out to the park with Alyssa for those 3-4 hrs a day for the past week and ahalf). I had great willpower until that plateau last week and then seeing 224 on the scale again really bummed me out today big time. I got down to 221 on monday . Yes I know I shouldn't have weighed but I couldnt help it and thought I would see a good # for all the extra hard work I did. WHen I got home yesterday I had over 7000 steps taken on my pedometer and made myself reach that 10,000 steps. I used the airclimber yesterday while watching tv instead of sitting on my fat butt, ugh gosh just soooo frustrating. My mother is the one who really discouraged me when I told her I was doing atkins again. "you know it only works onetime" so the days I do weigh in when I'm not suppose to I have my mother in my head . 3lbs overnight cant be muscle!

Im going to have to give dh all the batteries from the house and tell him to hide them so I dont weight in . It took me 8 months the 1st time to lose the 80 lbs that I needed to feel and look good and I really trully want to reach my goal before xmas this year. I hate being fat and I know I need to keep on keeping on but that willpower does really come and go.

I just ate breakfast and bathed my girl so now Im going to get our stuff packed and get my butt out before it rains. It's to rain all afternoon again so I dont have much time today to be outside (again). Sorry to vent but Im just so disapointed in myself the last 2 weeks.

Amber I started Atkins induction phase 4/14 and next wed will be 1 month on the diet and now so far only 10 lbs lost . I shouldnt compare myself to the 1st time on the diet but in 1 month I lost 25 lbs.

Tammy- Don't get discouraged!! I regularly bounce five pounds (no joke) up and down on the scale day to day. You HAVE to go by your weekly weigh in, not anything in between, b/c it could be water weight or something.
You have been doing FANTASTIC. Don't get yourself down. You have lost over double what I have (we started the same day, didn't we?), you've incorporated lots of movement into your day... I'm telling you, I have been impressed and inspired, and I want to see you keep trudging on!!

I have been SO horrible at counting points. I don't even write them down now. I don't know what my problem is, but I've been in a rut. Luckily we really only have healthy foods in the house, so I've been eating okay in terms of what I eat, but I haven't been having meals regularly. I've only having coffee for bfast, lunch is basically whatever I can scrounge bites of between feeding the boys, and dinner is generally the only meal. Today I am going to make some stuff so we have it ready to go, so that I can find time to actually eat real meals. I'm starting w/ Lindy's pasta sauce-- that sounds delicious!!

Off to get cookin'...

Claire/Tammy - i'm just kidding about the weighing everyday. I know your not supposed to, but I'm one of those that gets on more than once a day most of the time, but take it with a grain of salt (unless it's good of course )

Sarah - I have only been counting my points in my head, until supper and I just don't count at all, but I try to be good. My friend is having the same problem. She's so lucky, she has a Gym at work!!!

Sarah - Thanks for that boost.

It's really hard to stay motivated sometimes IF you dont get on that scale to see progress and 7 days is a LONG TIME before the next weigh in

Cassie - WOW a gym at work! Lucky her!!

I dont think we are going to be out much so I'm just going to take her up the block to the park since its getting really gloomy out.

Tammy- Hugs girl, i am sorry you are discouraged. Hang in there! Did you eat a bunch of salt yesterday? It makes me retain water and my weight go up a ton!

Claire- Indentifying it is half of the battle. I use food for comfort and boredom. Hang in there...

Okay Where are those BIG GIRL PANTIES????????
Tammy- you my dear are doing great!! It is so NORMAL to have a down day. And I also fluctuate daily and hourly. Do not worry! It may be a time in your cycle where you are retaining water..posibly too much sodium? Anyway get over yourself and MOVE on! We are all so proud of you and no giving up now. Don't look at this ten pounds as the cup is half empty but instead half full. 10 pounds is great and the slower you lose it the more likely it will stay off! Forget your mom and her negativity. You have us!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from getting my hair cut...I am thinking of sitting out in the sun and reading a boook instead of doing any type of housework and maybe get a bit of sun and then later I want to go buy a new bra Maybe a MILF top too since I don't own any. LOL

Did I tell you girls that dh and I are going to Nashville for the weekend, Memorial weekend? If I can find a sitter we will go alone and that would be SOOOO nice! We have not been alone for any amount of time in almost TWO YEARS! Isn't that awful?

I am feeling a bit better about myself after wearing a fitted t-shirt to get my hair done and my stylist had boobie envy she said. I thought okay maybe they do look ok? So anyway that is my plan if Riley will GO TO SLEEP.

Christie - I could have and really I did eat something big before bed lastnight so maybe that was why?

I'm taking the chance and leaving now to go to mohawk park, weather calls for light rain in the pm. Takes me 25 mins to walk there and 25 min to walk back. It's a huge park for those that havent seen the pictures, there are like a million trees!

There is so much more of the park that I didnt take pictures of but Im sure you can imagine how big it is.

Ok I got the stroller cover and a jacket incase I get wet. TTYL

edit: Karen thank you!! Your sooooooooo right. When i get back from the park I will read the rest of your post.

I just wanted to follow up by saying I went ahead and entered all my food info from yesterday, and actually, I ate very well overall! I went over on daily points b/c I put Magic Shell on my dessert (frozen cool whip.) I shouldn't have, but I've been craving it ever since I saw it in the cabinet. Now I'm tossing it in the garbage, b/c it definitely wasn't worth the extra points!

LMAO, okay, okay Karen, I'll get Gail to take some this weekend, I PROMISE! The ones my dad took before are 'outdated' now anyway, and he never did figure out how to email them to me. *sigh*

Tammy, I too, like Sarah and apparently you, and I think Kelly, fluctuate HUGELY all day and night, 5lbs up down up down. This is the reason why people like us CANNOT weigh-in all the time. It can be a major downer. I weigh in every Sunday when I go grocery shopping, in the early afternoon, after a minimal breakfast and before lunch, and normally have 'gone' by then, I also take off my shoes and don't wear heavy clothes. I even make sure my hair is mostly dry from my shower. BUT, it doesn't matter what your little rituals are, so long as they are consistant and you are weighing in under the same circumstances every week. STOOOOOOOOOOPPP! You're doing fine. SOMETIMES, I hop on my little cheapie scale at home, but I never pay too much attention to the results, b/c frankly it's unreliable, and I know that I fluctuate a LOT. It's sort of a toy to me.

Oh, yeah, Amber, I love that you are spending that little time with just Caleb to walk. That's probably really nice for him to have you to himself. Just be sure not to over-do it, okay? Some people heal fast like my mother, so I'm not going to fuss, b/c you know your body. But don't be a hero. People who heal fast and have a higher pain tolerance (hello, my entire family is like this) often forget to recognize the low-level signs of 'slow down buddy' that the body sends out. We always say we are too stupid to be sick or hurt in my family. Meaning, we all hurt ourselves and don't notice, or keep going until we REALLY hurt ourselves, or have to be green with 103 fever to accepts that we are ill. Family joke. I actually tore my own hamstring once while sitting on the floor with my legs out in a 'V', and was simply watching CMT and stretching over to my foot, and felt my hamstring go *pop--popopop*. Oops. Guess I didn't realize I was stretching too hard. Always took it for granted cause I'm such a naturally limber person (I can still do the splits without stretching, etc.).

Babble babble.
