Karen ~ I'm sure your frame can handle it then, b/c I think I should have gone with 360 (doc suggessted 400 for me...way to big for my frame). Yes they will be wide at first. Did they tell you to massage them a lot once the initial healing occurs? You will want to do that often so they will soften and not form scar capsules around them. (You will find yourself doing this in the car....just remember to stop at stop-lights! ) That is one of the reasons I think bf helped mine, it made them closer together because it has loosened my skin some. They will be swollen for a LONG time though and no matter what size you got at first it is just SO different that you are like "WHAT DID I DO!?" Also, it is probably fluid from swelling, implants (they don't weigh much at all), and extra poop that is making you weigh more. Some of the anesthetics used in surgery slow your bowels for a while, along with your pain meds. Sorry this ended up so long!

It is good to see all the newbies!!!

I have a confession: I just love food. It calls my name and says eat me eat me you know you want to eat me! I was tempted to continue eating more than the portions allowed. But I walked away. I stepped away from the food. Oh, but I still want it so bad, so I am watching a movie to stop thinking about it. We rented Atonement but it is a really slow plot and hard to follow, just want to finish watching it and take it back. I am proud to say that I did walk away instead of caving in and eating more than I needed to. TTYL

Lindy good job on walking away! I too love food and do it out of boredom alot of times. Is your dh on this weight loss journey with you? I love taking a after dinner walk with the family then I don't want to eat when I get back. Maybe try that. It will also help with that soreness.

Kayla- Ok so you did have the what did I do feelings! Good to know I am not alone. Have shed quite a few tears. I also wish mine were closer. They seem so far apart. UGH! Not what I had invisioned at all! Also I do have constipation so I wondered about that. Told the nurse yesterday and she said grab a laxative so we did lastnight but it has yet to help?? I think I may not take any pain meds today and see what I feel like. I am almost finished with the antibiotic and I am going to do ibuprofen only today and see how it goes. I swear the percocet has been keeping me awake at night. AS for that HOW did you get comfortable. Nothing I do helps. Will I ever b e a tummy sleeper again? I can't stand sleeping on my back.

Sorry girls this turned into yet another boobage chat. I have so many questions!!!

Christie- you have no idea how much I would LOVE to come to SC to kick you! I would love to meet you!!! I didn't realize you were so younger though. Almost 7 years! Dang I am getting old! You may be like this old woman is a trip. LOL

I need a face to go with these new names. I need to see who I am talking too.

lol at the moobs! Mine are ok, but one areola became bigger than the other during the bf days, and they never evened out.. it just bugs me so much!

Karen- It is WAY too soon to even tell what you new Ta-Ta's will look like, doesn't it take at least 4-6 weeks? I know you will love them when they "settle" down to their final shape.

Karen ~ I promise, if you massage them after they initially heal they will be closer, especially when wearing a bra. The surgeon can't put them too close with the risk of the skin between your boobs separating and "popping up" then you would seriously have one boob. Your sternal area will be swollen a while, which also pushes them out. Don't worry and give it time before deciding if you like them or not. Oh, I sleep on my tummy.

Wow, this place is really hoppin'! Good for us!

Christie ~ Since our resident butt-kicker is recouperating, I'll take over...KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!! I'm a little more succinct than she is. ROFLMAO!

I also need to take my own advice...I've had a TERRIBLE week. I've been unprepared food-wise, I've been tired and emotionally wrung out w/DH, etc, I've eaten fast food multiple times this week. Though I do keep it under control. I'll just get a burger, no fries or soda or anything like that. I'm REALLY not expecting a loss this week. But *sigh* I have made it through the week. Last work day today of the week, then I can concentrate on putting life back together, getting organized, and making a new schedule with Daniel. He's back home, and he's received the big 'this is your last chance with me buddy' speech. Things have changed a lot, and we have a TON of work to do, but we don't have to do it all in one day. But during the night he curled up against me and didn't move for about four solid hours (very unusual for him); we woke up pretty entangled; THAT'S unusual for me. I went right to sleep last night too. SO, we'll see. Still have some of the old problems, and some new ones, but it's just going to have to be slow and steady.

BUT, I've been really bad this week just trying to make it through. Still kept up with my gatorade and breakfast, but I've fallen down on lunch and dinner. I'm not making HORRIBLE choices, but not great. SO, it's time to get my (much thinner) butt back in gear and pull myself up by the bootstraps and get everything back on track this weekend.

Steph- I am so glad things are improving on all fronts for you. Guess we both need a pair of big girl panties.

Karen- Age schmage.. we would have a blast. Still holding out hope you will end up in Hotlanta (atlanta).. we are thinking of going there for a long weekend, catching a braves game, hitting up a little Six Flags, you and Dh and the fam up for it??

okay, well today is going good so far. Went to the food store, got some different good things for me to have. That should help. Otherwise, trying to plan some healthy dinners that will work well with the points counting. I went for a brisk 2 mile walk this morning, just Ethan and I before everyone else got up. I'm hoping that dh, the kids and I can go check out the new gym this weekend.

steph-you will get back on track! you have done so well. I hope this weekend will be the beginning of a great week for you.

If anyone else wants to add their total lost thus far to the group total, here's the thread:

I'm down another half pound this week. I didn't get to run last night but hopefully today - I would mind steadlily losing half pound per week for a while. I need to update my ticker.

Vicki - WTG on the run.

Christie - I think Kayla had a good idea w/ becoming obsessed w/ weight loss - when you think a/b before you put a bite of anything in your mouth and don't feel like working out, maybe it will work.
