Hi everyone!!!!

Well I just got back on Tuesday night from visiting DH in Maine for our 1st Anniversary. It was so beautiful over there everything was green compared to here lol, that's what happens when you are in a drought stricken area. While there I didn't stick to my healthier eating plan but I also didn't go totally off the wall either, and there was this one great brewery called Sea Dog Brewery where they make Blue Paw Ale, which is blueberry ale, and have a terrific Sunday brunch. It's right on the river, and has gorgeous views. I would definitely go again given the chance. I also ended up tangling with some poison ivy and ended up in the er the night of our anniversary...then to top that off my ex-husband who I haven't heard from in 5 years decided that he wants to see the boys. He has no visitation rights at this time and I have sole custody of them and all decision making rights, and I don't think it would be a good idea for him to see them and confuse them, as my current husband is the only father they know. That and he is an avid drug user. So I am really conflicted as to whether or not to have his parental rights terminated so my current husband can adopt the boys. On a positive note I didn't gain any weight but I didn't loose any either lol. Sorry for the book but I just needed to vent.

BUONA FORTUNA

Brandy

Brandy- Welcome home. That's a toughie with the ex. Good luck with that situation!

Robin- Great choices! Can't wait to see what Tuesday brings.

Steph- I bet you are sore from that manual labor!

Kayla- I don't buy that excuse either. I told my husband to try staying home with Charlie for one whole week and we'll see how he feels about the amount of "work" I do. He hasn't mentioned it since LOL Hope yall get it all squared away. We have a lot of depression in our family and that was always one of the tell tale signs, but I am no doctor...

Cass- Oh I hope you can go soon. Ouch. I still have a small hemi that bleeds every now and then. So funny.. I didn't get any hemis from pushing out an 8lb baby, but pooped after coming home and lo and behold LOL

Kayla- It is tough when someone else cooks. I think if you can eat and good bfast and lunch and a reasonable dinner with a little excercise you will prob get right where you want to be with your metabolism. My metabolism died when I was about 15.. blah.

Kelly- Glad AF finally showed so you can feel better. Good luck with your run.

So, I've lost a bit of what I had gained. Only 3 lbs to go and I'll be back where I was and then 7 or 8 more after that. DH took me out to lunch today while we were doing our car loan stuff. I ate okay. We had Chinese. I didn't eat any rice really.. but we did have steamed dumplings. Yum

Cassie - I would keep checking around for the lactulose and you can order it online. I'm going to hold you to it girly!!

Christie - Same here, I had to use others measures to get that 1st Bm out after coming home. The hospital should really make you have your 1st one there. My mom had to go and get supps for me it was sooooo bad and HUGE!

Our hospital gave me a whole bottle of stool softeners. I was what do I need this for??? Then two days later I figured it out. I started to take them. I wish I would have known about that before hand.

Jenna - YAY for 176!!!!!!!! I am so proud of you! I need to get off of my butt and exercise. I was told that I need to ride a bike because my stupid hip pain. The ligaments in my hips are very loose and having a baby made it worse. I can actually slide my hip out of place (sounds impossible but it isn't). Anyways, I am going to see if DH will buy me a trainer for my bike. A trainer is a little part you attach to your bike to make it stationary.

Christie/Steph - Yeah men have NOOOOOO clue what is involved with taking care of a baby all day! I would not change it for the world but good grief...it isn't exactly a walk in the park ya know!

I BROKE 169 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay ladies....let's all take a break and do the peanut butter jelly time dance!

Sorry...I really don't display it a lot on here but I have a VERY oddball, "monty pythonesque" sense of humor. I am just happy.

Jenna - Good job!!!!!!

Kayla - That is so exciting 160's!!!!!!!!!

I ended up going out to eat but I did really good. We went to Eat'n Park and ordered water with lemon, grilled chicken (they have a small portion) and a baked potatoe with salsa. So my meal was only 7 points!!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

robin-you are doing wonderful! you have great will power!

Anyone have some fresh ideas, we now have 2 parties to go to this weekend. I need some ideas for healthy fun things to make. I'm known for my desserts, of course. But none are low fat. I would love to pick a munchie and a dessert. I'm thinking fruit salad with yogurt dip? Help, any ideas?

Oh, you could do one of those darling colorful layered jello deserts where you layer jello cubes with cool whip, etc in a clear glass bowl -- I see it in my Kraft magazine from time to time; I'm sure you could find recipes on the Kraft website. Matter of fact, they always have really CUTE looking desserts and with easy recipes.

Now, if you want the easiest dessert on the planet, you can do my peach cobbler. Two large cans of peach slices, drain one, in an 8x13 pan, cover heavily with cinnamon, sprinkle a box of yellow cake mix over top, melt a stick of butter and drizzle, top with more cinnamon, bake at 325 for 1hr20min or so. This is a great dessert if you're talking outdoor party where you can't keep anything cool. I don't know what the caloric content is; can't be too high fat, but it is VERY rich, so you don't need much to be satisfied.
