OHHHH yeah, and Sarah, like Tammy was telling you, we do have a certain amount of lines alotted (where you hit 'enter' and start a new one), and it also has to do with how many characters there are in the name of your picture or blinkie (I think it will only accept 700 letters/characters or something), so give them short names. But you can only use ten, like Tammy said, even if they have short names. If I'd have known all that way back, I'd have given myself a much shorter photobucket name and named the blinkies shorter. I'm actually going back and doing it now, renaming things, I mean.

It actually is an arm-wrestling match sometimes with my siggie to get things to line up and balance correctly. A wicked combination of my OCD and my past as a secretary who had to have things lined up exactly on a computer kicks in...

Steph - I like whole foods, juice is not a whole food, only a part of a food. Juice has lots of calories without the fiber. So I think it is better than say pop but not as good as just eating an apple and having a glass of water. Just my 2 cents on juice. That being said I have not given up my 8 oz of OJ in the morning.

So are we thinking that there's no real nutritional content to it? I like V-8, OJ, all kinds of stuff, but I don't drink any of it, only gatorade, water and milk. I don't have to have it at all, but I'm wondering if it's something worth keeping around in case I don't get fruits and veggies some days. I'm trying to decide if it's worth even drinking, or if it's basically the same as going without fruit and veggies, KWIM?

OJ is my 'I'm sick' comfort food. There have been many colds/flus in my life where I survived on OJ for days at a time.

Steph- I don't know the answer to that question but my DH love V8 FUsion. He does not eat any veggies (well, almost none) so it has to be better than nothing.

Hi Ladies - Yesterday was DH's b-day so I wasn't on at all. Thanks so much everyone for being supportive a/b having one of "those days." Things haven't been that great eating wise since then, but I'm not feeling terribly guilty - just eating when I'm hungry and trying to look at the "big picture" of what kind of balance of foods I've have this week. I did have TONS of water today and not much junk at all. I did miss my workout yesterday - I hope I can get something in tonight. I really just want AF to show up so I can stop using that as an excuse for eating like a pig (We need an OINK smiley)

Steph - I am not saying that there is no nutritional value but when you squeeze 4 oranges to get 8 oz of juice you just know there it tons of calories in there and it goes down so fast and does not fill you. That is my big problem with juice (fruit or vegetable). I am sure it has nutritional value but is it worth the extra calories that don't fill you up? Not sure if it is better to have that or go without. My feeling would be skip it and do better the next day or use it as a treat but not for the nutritional value.

Cassie - That is great!!! Like I said just try it and it should help you go loose and with little to no pain, and then things will get better down there. I didn't believe that it would help me either but it really did!! I didnt need to take much of it but maybe start out by taking the recommened dose and try it when your at home 1st incase you get the runs.

Oh Steph - I used to drink that V8 Fusion and LOVED IT!! Has to be better than nothing? I have a $200 juicer my mom bought me in 2005 for my bday and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT, although I dont eat fruit anymore right now. Once Im on a healthy eating plan like the zone, Im going to start using that sucker again.

Cassie - 7 pounds is very good! I had so much trouble when with "going" when I had Marika. I wasn't pushing properly when I delivered her. It was kinda hard to know how to push when I couldn't really feel anything KWIM? BUT after I had her I had trouble going for about 5 months straight. I stayed in agony and nothing the Dr. prescribed worked. I am FINALLY getting back to normal but it is after a complete overhaul in my diet. I hope you can get some relief soon!

Laura/Christie/Steph - I think juice has it's place in a person's diet. It is kinda a two-fer' as we call it down south. You get two benefits for the price of one. It helps to satisfy thirst/hydrates you and it is an additional source of vitamins but of course that only works if you MAKE SURE to read the labels and make sure that it isn't 5% juice and 95% sugar water! I do agree with Laura that it isn't always a best to use it as a replacement for "real" food. I do enjoy a cold glass of blueberry pomegranate juice on occasion! YUM!!!!

Sarah - Hope you get your siggy lined out.

Hey....where are our newbies at? We need some updates over here girlies!

Okay so I have a long story. My DH wanted to know how much Marika weighed so I weighed myself and then weighed myself with Marika to get a rough estimate. He weighed as much as me holding MARIKA! He is barely an inch taller than me. Marika weighs over 20lbs! He called from work the next day and said he wanted to do nutri-system. I told him to let me handle the food and he could eat what I was eating. Well, we had to eat out yesterday because I didn't have anything to cook so we go to Popeye's and what does he get?????? I told him to get naked chicken strips with green beans. He says, "I am not THAT serious about loosing weight". He gets buffalo nuggets and mac n' cheese. He just DOES NOT get it. He wants to loose weight but then he does that. SHEESH! He comes home and snacks on candy (he does this mindless grazing thing) and not to mention he sleeps ALL THE TIME! He has worked like 3 times in nearly 2 weeks and all he does is SLEEP. He never used to let me sleep when I was working at a high stress job and now he thinks that he should be allowed to sleep all day/everyday. He says it is because he works but good grief, he has been off for a while now. I just don't get it. He kinda pi$$es me off about it actually. I can understand one good day of catching up but he is doing this everyday!!!!!!!!!!! He just wastes everyday sleeping. I am wondering if there is something wrong (maybe nutritional)? Any ideas? Sorry for the long novel.

Hi ladies!!!

Cassie - That is great that you lost!!!!

Kayla - I understand your frustration about sleeping. When DH was on afternoon shifts he wouldn't get home until 11 pm but then didn't fall asleep until 2 or 3 in the morning and then sleep till 10 or 11 am it made me so mad!!!!!!!

I have been doing really good!! I am eating a Lean Cruisine for lunch today and last night I didn't want what I made for the family it was too fattening so I had a WW's meal.

hi everyone, I have to update my ticker. I'm done 1 lb for this week. It is not much, but it is something. It has been a rough week. I have to admit though today, that I had a starbucks this morning. I did get a lite one, but I gave into that craving. It was good, but I felt so guilty. I should not have caved in. UGH! kick me in the butt right now. I really want something bad now, but I know I must walk away. UGH! I need to go make a big salad right now. That will help, with lots of crunchy vegs. to take away that craving. Thanks for listening to me.

edit: just updated ticker.

Vicki ~ 1lb is great for a week. It's a pretty solid consistant amount, so yay you!

Yay everybody. And good job Robin, allowing yourself to have what you felt was good for you.

Still thinking a/b the juice thing. Maybe I'll go to V-8's website and see what it has to say.

I skipped my push ups last night and this morning; my shoulders, all the way around, are KILLING me from trying to push the truck with the flat tire night before last. I figured I better give it a break for a day to let them recover. Ate fine yesterday; wanted a reeses bar again, but I smoked a cigarette instead. LOL! I can't let the quitting smoking thing derail my eating habits, so it's going to be a balancing act. But I'm only a few days into quitting and I'm already letting the silent conversations make some of my decisions about smoking (you know, the little conversations you have with yourself). It's Almost noon, and I've had 2.5 cigarettes today (before, it would be at least 4, maybe even 5 by now).

Kayla ~ Being off work and sleeping funny is really hard on your body, physically and psychologically, and it's an easy pattern to start, much harder to break. Perhaps try planning some fun boy-friendly things to get up and do together? It's HARD to feel like it's worth it when you get up late and the day slips by and you don't feel like anything worthwhile happened, but if you wake early, all you want to do is stay in bed. Sleep cycles are a b!tch to get back under control once they're all upside down. The thing that will probably help him most is to get up/stay awake earlier. Even if it's letting Marika crawl on his head for a while in the morning. LOL!

And with the eating, it seems like men are MUCH more resistant to big changes in eating habits than women are. So maybe start out subtle with him? Daniel doesn't realize how much more veggies he's been eating since I changed my diet, not that he didn't eat them before. He isn't picky and will pretty much eat what I put in front of him, but he often wont take the initiative to eat regularly unless led by the nose. He's getting better. Anyway, I've been making veggies with things that in the past I wouldn't serve veggies with, and we don't (he doesn't) have bread as often as before. Littler changes for him. He's also drinking more gatorade and less soda than he used to. I think it's got to be more gradual with them. Especially when you are talking about someone built like your DH, who isn't obese or anywhere near, but built stocky. It will just be a matter of easing him into being a little healthier (hopefully without him noticing much ).

Good luck!

AF is here so I can feel like a normal person again, but I am exhausted. Later today we'll go for a run.

Kayla - do you think he's depressed? Is he not working much b/c he can't find work, or is his job giving him time off? When my DH couldn't find a job for the first 6 months of our marriage, he was very lazy/depressed/moody, etc. Maybe he would eat better if you made healtheir versions of junk foods for him a couple of times a week - I don't know what he likes but maybe turkey dogs or nachos w/ Baked Tostitos, turkey taco meat, and rotel dip made w/ light Velveeta. And don't keep candy in the house. I don't know if that helped at all.

Cassie - congrats!

Vicki - congrats!

Robin - sounds like you're doing great. Will you weigh in at the meeting on Monday?

Tammy - how are you doing?

Vicki - Good job 1lb is great!!!!

Kelly - There isn't a meeting Monday because of the holiday so I will go in on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how much I weigh!!!

My mom invited me out to dinner tonight but Madison is just going to go with her. I feel more comfortable eating at home where I know how many points is in my food. Also it would be really hard to not get french fries lol.

Thanks for all the input girls. LOL @Steph....actually I do let Marika crawl on him to get him up LOL!!!!!!!! I am thinking that maybe he does have some kind of sleep disorder or some underlying problem that needs to be addressed. We'll see.

Kelly - He is still employed....just on a weird rotating shift (and some vacation time). It wouldn't bother me if he was working this week but he hasn't really. t is just annoying.

Robin - YAY for WW meals!!!!!!!! Yeah weird shifts make it harder on them but sometimes it seems like they need to suck it up a little.

Vicki - Hey 1 lb. is one 1lb. closer to your goal! You are doing good!
