LMAO@ the 'big girls' club! Didn't I tell you I wear a sports bra over my regular bra if I'm doing vigorous walking/jogging? Just don't overdo it, 'kay? Stop before you are feeling any soreness or pushing too hard.
And, ask and you shall receive my darling: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the ones we really need: ![]() ![]() We need like, a 'Cupcake Queen' blinkie or something like that that we can put on ourselves when we are being BAD. Last edited by GemGoddess : 05-20-2008 at 04:08 PM. |

HELLLLPPPP! I can't stop eating. I guess it's PMS.
Last night at 9:30 I could NOT stop myself from eating Dortios. This morning, I didn't eat bkfast. Then around 9:30 I was about to eat a kid, so I went to the vending machine and ate 2 PopTarts. Ate my LEan Gourmet Pizza and fruit for lunch plus one HUGE Diet Coke. Then I ate Cheetos after school - I HATE Cheetos. And all I can think a/b it McDonald's. I've to go make dinner and all I want to do is eat, eat, eat. And I've only had 8oz of water today. Let me out of here!!!! |

KELLY, STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!
Lemme get this straight, today, you've eaten two pop tarts, a dinky pizza, some cheetoes, a little glass of water, and a big diet coke? And you have to go stand in the kitchen and decide what to make for dinner now? Honey, YOU MUST EAT BREAKFAST! EVERY DAY! A LOT OF BREAKFAST! Know what I've had today? Three slices of whole wheat toast with butter, a banana, and an ounce of cheddar cheese for breakfast (no milk and carnation today). Then for lunch, a homemade sandwich on whole wheat bread with miracle whip, mustard, 2 slices of turkey, four slices of salami, 1 slice of muenster cheese, 1 slice of cheddar, a handful of spinach leaves, cucumber slices, pepper, and italian dressing; a handful each of strawberries and blackberries, and I've already finished my 32oz gatorade and am about to start on my water. And haven't been hungry. There's been a box of homemade cookies on the table all day. Never even glanced at them. I don't say this to brag and waggle my finger that you've been "bad". I'm trying to get across that you HAVE TO EAT REAL FOOD!!! And you MUST eat a nice breakfast of substance. MUSTMUSTMUST!!! Get organized, spend some TIME on yourself making a good lunch, and sit down for five minutes in the morning and EAT BREAKFAST!!! Take a big bottle of water or something like that with you -- you can buy them in bulk for cheap! YOU CAN DO THIS! Take care of you. The more junk you eat, the less energy you have, and the more junk you want. You MUST stop it with real food, or your body will keep being desperate for junk. Feed yourself nicely and well! Put a little effort into preparing lunch. You know I was actually EXCITED about my lunch today because I'd made the best sandwich in the world and had nice fresh berries...YUM! Breakfast is pretty standard now. It was hard, VERY HARD, to force myself to start eating a big breakfast daily (big for me, I have NEVER been a breakfast eater). The rules #1 Eat breakfast! #2 Drink good fluids #3 Eat a 'real' lunch Good luck. You can do it!! |

kelly-TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!! Yesterday is gone and you can't change it. Start STRONG today. Get a good breakfast in. I know it is a struggle to do this. I struggle each day to eat breakfast. Do this for yourself though, you deserve this. Hopefully you have a good lunch packed for school. Enjoy it, make it exciting so you can't wait to have it. Get yourself a HUGE water cup or bottle. That way it is in your face and you grab for it first. We all have days like that. It is what you do the next day that will show your commitment. You CAN DO THIS! You have comes so far, I have no doubt today will be different for you. Smile!

Kelly - I totally agree with Stephanie. I would make sure also to bring your daily supply of water with you. 1st thing in the am I measure out 64 oz of water to drink. That doesnt count the water I use for coffee or if I have a diet dr.pepper. Make sure your body is also staying hydrated and your eating a "good and healthy meal" water will satisfy you after eating and keep you fuller.
I woke up with a bit of a headache this am so I'm just going to relax with my girl a bit. I have been really blessed these past 2 years since I was plauged with chronic migranes since I was 16 years old and I really havent had more than a handful since Alyssa was born. Over the last month + 1 week on this diet I too havent had more than the occasional headache. You can really take advantage when your feeling good and just don't know how crappy you can again feel when you come down with something, injure youself or get a migrance/headache. I'm loving my cinnamon force also, I was looking at the cinnamon extract capsules in the drug store which are cheaper but less potent and a different composition so I bought the cinnamon force instead. I can't even explain how much it is kicking my cravings in the butt. I like Karen, Lauren and many others am a total COFFEE AHOLIC, and I have 2 EVERYDAY -- well lastnight I didnt have that "craving" to have one and dh was like " your not having your evening coffee" and nearly fainted LMAO. I will keep you posted on how I'm doing on it. Keep up the good work ladies, and I can't wait for the next weigh in day!!

OMG, LOL, I was so busy fussing at poor Kelly, I forgot, the 'eat a kid' comment cracked me up too.
So, Kelly and I were talking in PMs, and Karen was just saying the same thing...CALL TO ARMS, MOMMYS! Does anyone have good ideas of how to make time for breakfast (types of foods, ways to fit it in, things you can share with a kiddo who wants what you have) when you are a busy morning mommy. I have lots of ideas when you have a DH who needs to be 'fed' or wont eat in the morning (he's getting much better, hallelujah, his habits are changing a little and he's starting to read his body signals...light peeping through!) and he could eat a bucket of lard and not gain an ounce, but I've yet to try to fit this new way of my eating together with a baby in hand or toddler at my feet. So, DHs, I can help with (check out the 'food on a budget' thread about kolaches), but melding these worlds of new eating, busy mornings, and a baby, not so much experience. I also have the benefit of having a kitchen, toaster oven, and ability to make and eat my breakfast at work, so I've not really had to do it at home. Chances are I wouldn't have been half as successful if I'd had to do it at home... Everybody throw out some ideas if you've got 'em. So far, all I've come up with is who cares if it's not "breakfast food", and maybe something you can share, toast or cheese or fruit or whatever, depending on the age of you little one who's tugging at you. Something you can eat one-handed if you have to hold a baby and bottle or are nursing or just sitting for those few minutes with a little one who needs you (like toast or something). I need a blinkie that says something like 'I'm a toast monster'. Apparently, the solution to all problems dietary is toast and gatorade. LMAO! Believe me, I was the worst morning person in the world. A few years ago, I used to set up jewelry with my sunglasses still on. Okay, so as for me, guess what I did this morning? FIVE PUSH-UPS!!! In addition to the ten at night, I started this morning too. I thought I'd start with five in the mornings, and build up until I'm doing ten in the morning and ten in the evening. I'm so proud of me. I've never exercised in the morning in my life (sex doesn't count Last edited by GemGoddess : 05-21-2008 at 12:06 PM. |

hmm....I swear I posted in here last night but I don't see it...*scratching head* maybe I was going to and got side tracked.
![]() Anyways, I did okay as far as eating goes yesterday but did have a small slice of pie and 2 dr. peppers throughout the day. That majorly backfired and I had the big D ALL evening long. My tummy doesn't agree with rich dairy AT ALL and that just sucks! Steph ~ Way to go with adding exercise in the morning. You are such an inspiration. Kelly ~ LOL at your whole post yesterday! We all have days like that, just gotta pick ourselves up and go on in the right direction.

Speaking of 'we all have those days', I feel like I'm going to have one. I'm fighting with myself. I had good breakfast, I did my push-ups this morning (thanks Kayla!), I have a good lunch waiting, and I feel like I'm on the verge of hysterical tears and I want to walk to the drugstore next door and get doritoes, candy, and soda. Sabotage. I would sabotage myself.
Maybe I'm just ready for lunch? And I feel sad. And tense about ttc again next week. And I was looking again at my grandma's on-line obituary from six weeks ago this morning. And read a facebook post by my sister about being in Florida in grandma's house (apparently, my sister is in Florida to 'help' or whatever -- my parents left today to go deal with the legal stuff for a week), and made some comment about how 'not to knock her siblings, but how we were fortunate we didn't have to deal with it, b/c we have a big sister who is single (so's my brother)and on school break to do it'. Excuse me, what are my parents going to be doing? She's so ********* self-centered. She has this belief that she's this 'big sister'. Oh please. Who has been HERE with the rest of the family forever? Who is going to be the one who will end up dealing with our parents legal and health issues? ME. AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT. My dad and I JUST Monday talked about getting a safe deposit box to share and put legal papers in, just in case something happened to one or the other of us -- he's realizing how complicated it is and he needs to put his affairs in order. My mother and I talked a few weeks ago about getting some sort of medical power of attorney set up so that if she gets to be a pain when she's old, I can just do what needs to be done. She doesn't want me to have to go through what she's been going through the past year with her mom. I'd have given my right arm to have been able to go down there a few months ago, and even now. Right before she died, I had my brother on the phone, and was trying to make plans to make the 17 hour drive because I felt like I needed to see her. But then she died. I think I'm sad. ![]() Last edited by GemGoddess : 05-21-2008 at 03:00 PM. |

Oh Stephanie I'm sorry for your loss. I remember you visiting your grandma in Florida, I know you will miss her. I think we all have "one of those" sister's.....maybe not, but I do! |
