OK- I guess I'd better make myself some goals for the week, too.
AF should be here w/in a few days, so LOTS of water. Nothing to eat after 7pm - only water or decaf. 1 Diet Coke/day (this will be a toughie - I'll try to have tea instead) Get in all my workouts from the running program - Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat + 10 mins on the elliptical extra on the other days. Eat more fruits/veggies - Oooh - that's a lot of goals for one week. (And Wednesday night won't count b/c of DH's b-day - but I guess I'll get in a extra workout w/ him that night) |

I need to Join your weight Loss group. I am 5'7 and weighed in this morning at 230 even. That is the most I have ever weighed in my life - not pregnant. I have always been overweight but this is rediculous. I started a teaching job in January and I think I have been stress eating. I hope having to be accountable to you someone- you ladies will keep me on track.
Can I join??

Welcome, Rachel! I'm a teacher as well and I totally understand the stress eating. I've posted several times a/b a first year teacher who eats enough for 3 people every day. I also am lucky enough to get a real lunch time now - at my old school, I never really had time for lunch but ended up eating so much other crap w/out thinking that I put on some weight.

OK today is my first day to being better....
Dh got up at 6am and instead of getting up with him and working out...I kept sleeping. Rach of course you can join us! The more the merrier!!! We love new girls!! More people to hold us accountable and give support! I have been deemed the drill sargeant so look out! |

Karen - I didn't get up this morning either...I think I've decided getting up earlier to do it isn't going to work. I think I rather wait until 8:30 at night!
My goals...water water water! Watching my portions, with dh gone M-Th of this week, I'll be at my parents alot... It's a new week ladies, no matter how bad last week was or the weekend, start fresh and make wise choices!!! |

1 month and 5 day later and down 19 lbs for me!!!! Af showed up yesterday too
Today is a holiday here in Canada and dh is home and of course it is still raining. I guess we will just hang out and have some quality time as a fam. I made an AWESOME meal for us lastnight. dh had homemade garlic bread w/ cheese, potato w sour cream, garden salad and homemade honey garlic wings. I had a large garden salad and my fav homemade HOT HOT wings lol. YUm and I was stuffed for like 5 hrs and we both felt like pigs after eating lol !! Keep up the awesome work ladies!! We will ALL be at our goal in no time if we stick to it and stay motivated!! GO US!!!!!!!!! ![]()

Good job ladies! For dinner DH and I had spinach ravioli with chicken breast, mushrooms, tomatoes and chives....the bad thing is that it was smothered in alfredo sauce...but I did not have 1 dr. pepper yesterday. Yay me!!
Tammy, yum hot wings...can you post the recipe (or give me the link if you already have)? DH and I LOVE hot wings but we usually end up getting them from Chili's or somewhere where they are totally BAD for you. Cassie ~ You can do it! Stay strong at your parents house, like you said it is all about portion control. That is what I need to work on. Since DH is the cook, he makes my plate (I know, I sound like a little kid) and he ALWAYS gives me the better cut of meat, or a portion as big as his and the way I was raised you are just supposed to clean your plate KWIM? Kayla - Its very easy and really not a recipe I found, but something I grew up with. For 900g's of wings I use 1/4 cup butter melted and 1/4 cup Red Hot sause and a little Lawrys seasoning and mix it all together. After wings are cooked I put them in a dish and dump the sause all over them and eat them up! Oh boy I'm getting another craving for wings now LOL!
for dh's honey garlic sause I used 1/4 - 1/2 cup kraft original bbq sause, 1-2 cloves of garlic and 1/3 cup of honey. I love diet dr.pepper!! I cant seem to find the one I had the other day cherry chocolate so I just bought a 12 pk of the diet dr pepper.
