I don't really know where to post about it, so I'll continue here.
I had my 2nd appt with the counselor today - it was OK. I haven't gotten up the nerve yet to say I hate sex or I'm miserable in my body, but we talk a/b DH a lot and some anger issues I'm having.

On the diet/exercise front, I stayed up way too late last night and couldn't get up and exercise this morning - I promise to get something in before bed tonight, though. I also ended up having to grab a burrito on the way to therapy - but I will have salad or fruit for a snack and close the kitchen at 8pm.

Karen - are you eating after 8pm? I know you said you never did until you were pg w/ Riley, but then I remember you still saying you ate late after she was born. Do you eat late now? Maybe that change could help you drop another couple of pounds. You could also cut out bread for a week or two, but I don't think that would make a permanent loss of the 5 lbs, just a temporary one.

Robin - Your loss is awesome! I'm having a hard time understanding how you would lose weight from your neck, though.

Kelly - Glad you went for your second appt! I hope it starts helping soon! As far as losing weight in the neck...it's just like losing it in the face. My face puffs up or slims down when I lose/gain. You can't really work it out, it either goes away or doesnt.

Kelly- I am glad you had your second appt and give it awhile. You will get it all out when you think it is time. Doest he therapist know you used to struggle with anorexia and have those thoughts? As for me I don't eat dinner late we always eat that early liek around 5:30-6ish because that is when the kids are ready BUT...once they go to bed at 8 and me and dh are alone to relax finally we like to enjoy dessert then. I know I know BADDDDDDDDDD but I need some JOY some days. Dh says we can jsut have some sex instead but I rather go for the ice cream or cake or whatever I have. I know I won't stop that for life so I need to figure out something else or live with this last five pounds?

OMG, ROFLMAO! "...DH says we can just have sex but I want cake instead..."

I'm dying.

Kel ~ You'll get to those things when the time is right. It will just come out, okay? Go with the venting for now. And, you do not owe us an explanation...you don't have to make promises. We all understand how hectic life can be sometimes, where you either have to go hungry or hit a drive-thru. Better to hit a drive-thru, you know? You are doing something so big right now with the therapy. I'm still SO proud of you.

Robin- That's awsome, congrats!

Kelly- Good for you. Karen is right, all in good time. Although, I've never had trouble blurting all my problems out to just about anyone who'll listen! And what Steph said, too.

Karen- I say stop it already and live with the five lbs! That's just cuz I'm jealous. You have already accounted for your 'new additions' in this ideal weight, right?

Cassie-That shrimp sounds good....what kind of cooking spray do you like? I can't quite bring myself to use it yet bc I think about all the chemicals in it. And I'm not even a super-natural-no-chemical kind of person.

I'm still on the wagon.......too bad it's the molassas wagon-grr. At everymeal I'm really working on portion control and I keep cutting back. I only had 1/2 my wrap today for lunch and 1/2 my chicken breast for dinner last night. Course I had a small tamale for breakfst bc a salesman brought it....wonder how many calories are in a Tamale?

Rhea ~ I doubt you really want to know...very rarely do you want to know the caloric or fat content of any type of Mexican food...

Cassie- I'm impressed! I always burn that kind of non-stick spray....so it's all black. I do think I should invest in one of those spray bottles for olive oil at least.

Steph- No kidding! Don't I know it. I took the smallest one. All it has is a type of corn meal and pork and read chile...hmmm, what holds that corn meal together,though?.....DOH! Oh yeah, I remember- LARD! Dang!

Claire- OMG when we used to live in New Mexico we had this little man that came around every morning to our store( I worked in sales in a electrical supply and lighting store). His wife made them to sell every morning. TO DIE FOR! Yum. That is when I decided it is okay to put things in a tortilla and smother them with salsa. The southern girl in me didn't even want to try it before. I am so glad I lived in New Mexico and ate new things. Okay NOWWWWWWWWW i am hungry! Good going Claire!

Where do you live anyway? We lived in a TINY little town called Alamogordo. Ever heard of it?

Knowing some Spanish, the name of that town is SO funny to me.

Oh yeah, you can put ANYTHING in a tortilla! I like tuna salad in a tortilla even. Heh.

I KWYM about being thankful for the opportunity to try new things, K. I'm so greatful that throughout our years in Europe, my parents never fed us mac and cheese at restaurants (though that 'kids menu' chicken nuggets at an Italian restaurant thing wasn't nearly as prevalent as it is now). They would let us order anything we wanted (within reason; they spent several years talking me out of ordering the king crab legs at the Officers Club...when I was like, 6), and we could and did try everything. To this day, my sister and I have very few things that we don't like, and we will try basically anything.

Karen-I am the same way with desserts and other goodies after Avery is in bed, but I am trying not to use that as a reward and have been good since the weekend at least, lol. Do you think eating mini meals could jump start your metabolism a little to get those last few lbs off?

I was bad today. Instead of having my frozen healthy choice meal I went out to lunch and had chinese food and it was MY idea!!! But I've already lost a pound since the weekend so I will just keep plugging away! And tomorrow I know I won't be going out to lunch tomorrow.
