Carter goes back to school Monday! Woohoo. gotta work at his school Friday, Monday and Tuesday.

Christie- yay to going to the Y this morning and the plans for the rest of the week. Get out of the house that is the only thing that helps me not eat. Can you take Charlie for a ride in the stroller or wagon?

Dropped Carter off at the running program, went to the Y did 30 minutes on the stairmaster thingy..Sort of like a eliptical sort of like a stair master not sure WHAT it is. then did a hour circuit class. Felt great. Gotta work at church tonight, have girls night out tomorrow night...BUSY week as usual.

Steph have you been eating and drinking good this week? You BETTER be! And how manymore days do you have?????

K ~ I've been doing better. I've brought lunch, eating fruit, staying up with my fluids, made dinner the past two nights (with veggies, my colon is thanking me). I'm on my way back. Have had some meltdowns with candy and chips and stuff like that this week, but I'm making steps back to what feels good.

Keep up the good work everyone. We are going to break 600LBS in the total loss thread very soon! Can you even believe it???

Good afternoon ladies!

I thought I posted on here somewhere, but I can't seem to find my post so maybe I never did (or posted on a different thread?)

Anyway - my "weight story" is that I was way overweight - 228, before I got pregnant with AJ (I had significantly gained weight the year after I first miscarried, over thirty pounds in a year). A few weeks after AJ was born I actually weighed just over 200 (I think around 205). So, I had lost weight during my pregnancy, which the doctor said was okay as long as I was not over-exercising and eating enough. I swear breastfeeding made me eat like a cow, but maybe it was just getting into old habits and sleep deprivation. About three months ago, at one of my infertility appointments, my dr. outright said I needed to lose weight - that my being obese (216 at this appointment, which is considered obese for 5'8") would conteract some of the medications that I was taking since I guess it makes your body produce testosterone. So, I decided then and there that I would officially start a real diet - I had started working out regularly a few weeks before but hadn't lost any weight. I started following the weight watchers plan because my husband had joined the week before at work and was bringing info home. I think 5/25 was the date of my appointment that this all took place, so just over two months, and I weighed myself this morning in at 192 -so I am super excited! My goal originally was 185, but now I think I may keep going to 170 I am also a teacher, so I am crossing my fingers that going back to work will not hurt this trend!

Lord, Missy, you sound a LOT like me. I have never been a little thing, I'm 5"9", but I was nice and curvy with no lumps at about 195, which was a size 13/14 for me until I was about 21. Then I quit smoking, and got dumped by a guy. I put on about forty pounds that year. I'd taken it off ten pounds here, put it back on, fifteen pounds there, put it back on. All different dieting type behavior. Tried WW for a little bit. Depression after the miscarriages and all that brought on the last twenty-five or so. I think I was around 250 when we got married two years ago. I topped out at 267 last spring. I credit the first fifteen pounds I lost last year to the 'my husband is an a$$hole diet', as we affectionally refer to it, but the rest was all me. 185 was my EXACT goal when I started my ticker! And I anticipated that being a size 11/12. I'm now just smaller than an 11/12, but I'm only 194. Amazing how your body changes over time. I'll be solidly in a 9/10 when I hit my goal, and all the walking on the beach I'm about to do...I may end up in a 7/8 too! Congrats on your loss so far!

As soon as I hit my original goal, I said a long time ago I was going to post a separate 'Success' thread with pictures (there are some in our pictures thread if you want to see everyone), and talk about everything I've done since October to loose and get much healthier.

Some people need little changes here or there; for me, I made MAJOR huge changes all at once and sent my metabolism into warp speed and that's what worked for my body. I still stare at myself in the mirror. LOL!

I forgot to look...did you put up a goal ticker? We can cheer you on for the last amount you want to loose. You can be my 'less than ten to go' buddy.

Missy ~ You are doing great! Keep it up. Is your DH still doing WW too? Maybe you can find some other coworkers that also want to eat healthy and hang with them. I believe out of sight, out of mind, out of MOUTH!

Laura - how were your gummies?

My coworker always brings Hot Dogs and a cake for her coworkers she is close to on their bdays. Well they are celebrating her boss's bday. She brought the hot dogs and the YUMMIEST looking SNICKERS cake! Today is my weigh in SO I told them cut me a piece and I will put it in the freezer to eat tomorrow

Dh did turkey legs on the smoker yesterday evening. So I have a turkey leg and corn for lunch. I gotta look up the points on that turkey leg.

Cassie - they were ok. They stopped me from the ice cream and cookies that are in the house. Your lunch sounds good. Way to put off the cake until tomorrow.

Laura~ Oooh, I love gummies. I can eat a whole bag!

Cassie~ Hope the weigh in goes well!

Since I haven't been feeling well, I haven't been eating much. So in the last 3 days I've lost 3 pounds. I'm sure that will all come back when I start eating well again. On the plus side, right now I'm down 61 pounds from when I got my BFP!

Cassie - Can you take the meat off the bone and guess how much meat it is.. Then you can use the this: Light or dark meat, without skin, cubed or shredded, 1/2 cup, 2 oz (2).

I got a good 35 minute walk in yesterday evening with my neighbor. We are going back out tonight. Woo hoo! Have my personal trainer in the morning at 10. She is going to kick my butt. I could hardly move last time LOL I need to weigh tomorrow morning and get a baseline idea of where I am. I have been avoiding the scales like the plague.
