Mel-you could also just try to find a private seamstress. They can usually do alterations in just a few days.

Hi everyone~ I have wanted to join here all summer, but I could never get caught up on the posts, so I just decided to post! LOL Here's my story-I gained 20 pounds while I was pregnant. I lost 5 of that right away when I lost him. Then the other 15 just stuck there-I'm such a big emotional eater and that was my problem. This summer I decided I needed to work really hard at losing it so that the next pregnancy would start at a healthier weight. So I've lost another 7 this summer, although this past weekend involved a lot of eating out, so I gained two back. My goal is to lose 11 pounds more (well, 13 since I have that two that I gained back). That should get me a little under where I started my last pregnancy. I set my ticker at my highest pregnancy weight, just to make me feel better This week my goal is to not gain anymore weight!! We're going to be gone this weekend, so that will mean even more eating out. We did decide though to bring milk and cereal with us to eat in the hotel, so no going out for breakfast! LOL

JJ - Welcome. Thanks for sharing your story. I bet you will meet your goal in no time.

Last night was one of those nights where I just couldn't stop eating. IDK why. Oh well, back on track today.

GOOD morning girls!

Melissa- please don't be too hard on yourself. So you have to get the dress altered....Make this a lesson and continue this weight loss journey with us! You can lose weight and you deserve to feel better about yourself!!

JJ- welcome to the group. You came to the right place. We are here to encourage and to also give you a good kick int he butt when needed. We are so happy you are here!

So I had to miss my class this morning. Boot camp too my favorite! Sadly this is the last week of it because the instructor has a daughter starting school this year so she will be unable to make it to the class on time. It will be switching to Step class which is fine wiht me though since I love step too. Haven't done it in years and am actually looking forward to it...Oh back to why I missed..Riley had an eye appt and Carter has a check-up this afternoon plus I have a cut/color too. So I have no extra time today but things will resume tomorrow. I am going to make a point to eat well today to make up for it. Haven't had a chance to eat breakfast since I had to be in Johnson City at 9am and with the kids that is a struggle so I am now eating a bowl of oatmeal. Better late than never! Pork chops are marinating now to be grilled tonight along with zucchini, squash and red potatoes. YUM!

Okay enough about me. Hope everyone is off to a good start.

Oh and Kelly- emotional eating maybe? I do that at times and the next day I am like why did I do that. Today is a new day. No biggie!

Mel- Hang in there! There is no need to worry about what is going to happen if you can't get in the dress. I'm sure you can find a seamstress.

JJ- Welcome! What type of weight loss plan are you going to do?

Kelly- I agree, venting is great. Sex is a major area of contention in our marriage (even outside of and before TTC) so I feel ya.

I got on the scale this AM. Damage isn't as bad as I though it would be. So, my goal is to lose two pounds this week. And try to go for at least ONE walk!

Kelly~Thanks for the welcome.

Karen~Thanks too! Your dinner tonight sounds good!

Claire~I got an account on sparkpeople.com where you can keep track of what you eat and how much you exercise. They send emails and stuff to keep you motivated and they stress life style change, rather than diet. I really like it. Anyway, I've been trying to do some sort of exercising twice a day and cutting back on the junk food. It's worked so far, but when I go back to work, I won't be able to do as much exercising.

JJ-welcome!! I am in the emotional-eater club too.

I did pretty good yesterday and the scale is down a little today. It is only 11am but I am already hungry for lunch! But I may eat now while Avery is napping so I can eat in PEACE.

Awww...you mean I don't get to talk about MY favorite drinks?? (57 chevy's if I'm partying, buttery nipples with ice in a full glass at a home party, tanqueray and tonic if I'm drinking grown-up drinks, top shelf margaritas on the rocks if its cold or I wanna feel niiiiiice, and dark beer anytime if its cold).

Kel ~ HEY! Can't he do pushups AND sex at the same time??? LOL! Tell him if he's going to do pushups, you'll be his 'trainer'. LOL! Seriously though, there is a lot starting to come out in you right now, so things are bound to seem out of control. That's okay. The only way over it is through it. (((hugs)))

Well girls, be proud of me: for the first time in like, 2 months, I made dinner! I had a filet mignon, and a big pile of spinach. I've eaten like crap recently and I feel like crap. But, making dinner and starting to eat like I was, and how I prefer to at this point, it's a BIG STEP I think! Yes?

JJ ~ If you are looking for people to understand emotional eating, you've come to the right place kiddo. {{{hugs}}}

Steph - good job on making dinner. I know that can be a huge accomplishment sometimes. I guess you're right a/b everything coming out right now.

JJ - Are you a teacher? Just wondering b/c you said you won't have as much time when you go back to work.

Karen - sorry you missed your class.

JJ - Hi!!!! Thanks for sharing your story. The ladies here have really helped me to stay of track.

Okay so I lost 2.2lbs this week I have lost 17.6lbs total I am so thrilled!!!!! I only probably only going to WW for another 2 weeks and then I am doing it all on my own. We could really use the extra money every month and I feel very confident that I can do this on my own. I can see a difference in myself and I don't want to go back to my old way of eating. I am buying a scale for my house so that I can keep track of my weight loss.
