No laws like that out here, you can get any liquor at the market or liquor store any day as long as they're open. I remember in NOLA, they had drive thru daiquiri places...Teaching my forensic science class, we discussed the different state laws regarding alcohol. In some states it is not illegal for a minor to be drinking in his own home, some states it is.

Melissa that is probably here that minors can drink at home! A Married Minor can also go in a bar and drink with his/her spouse if they are legal age. Weird huh! OH ETA: here is Louisiana...about an hour away from N.O.

We need Karen to come back and get us back on track, instead of all this drinking talk, lol.

I weighed this morning and I am still up 3lbs so I decided I need to get serious again or I will put back on everything I lost. Soo I busted out my food journal and even found my WW calculator from years ago.

What a bunch a boozers ya'll are! LOL!
I'm a jack and diet soda gal, myself. And we used to have drive thru liquor stores, but they finally realized that with one of the highest DWI rates in the country, maybe that was a bad idea........So, now we have walk up windows. And you can't buy any booze before noon on Sunday. Darn it, we want you to wait till AFTER church before you get drunk.

I was bad this weekend. But not as bad as I could have been. I was good with portions-or at least ate less than I would have a month ago. I'm feeling better (I think) today, so hopefully I can go for a walk this afternoon......oh shoot, I'll probably be waiting for the damn roofer....grrrrr, he's fixed these two leaks twice already.

Cass/Bina - I've been journaling too - cals, not points. My WW books are packed up in my school stuff some where - but this is going well for me.

DH and I had a long heart to heart this morning. We seem to fight a lot lately. I wanted to tell him to get out last night, but I talked myself into more rational thinking (thanks to therapy). We don't fight a/b anything big, we just seem to get on each other's nerves a lot. He told me he thinks our crappy sex life has a lot to do with it and I have to agree. Before we started ttc, we used to have sex a lot. Now it's 2x a week at best and it's a big fight to do that. I told him that for the next month, I will do it whenever he wants if he will start doing some pushups. I've been trying to hint to him for months that he's not as attractive as he used to be (I'm not either, by any means), but he never got the hint - so I just told him. OK, I don't know why I'm rambling a/b this here. Sorry.

I lost 1 lb!

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT>>>>>>>>>>> I am back and no more of this talk about beer and alcohol!! Has anyone looked at the carbs and calories???? This is not the thing to be promoting in a WEIGHT LOSS thread!

Okay so I got a couple three mile runs in this weekend in my mom's neighborhood. Was fun to run somewhere new. However she doesn't cook so we ate out alot and junk stuff at that. Got up and back to the Y for me this morning. Worked out on the eliptical before my class then did a hour weightlifting toning class. Enjoyed it greatly.

I have actually gained a few pounds and I am not happy about it since I started at the Y. I am trying to chalk it up to building new muscles but that seems strange to me since I have BEEN lifting weights and toning all along before the Y? So I have a five pound weight difference that I need to work on. THinking my eating habits are catching up to me. Trying to do better starting today.

Kelly- vent on honey. We are here to listen.

K so I want to know what everyone has in mind for this week....What are you weekly goals?

Okay, I have no time right now to catch up. But I gained 2.4 lbs when I was goneI was so careful too. I have to go adjust my ticker after this. But I'm so sad. I'll be working extra hard this week. I have a trainer appt. on Thursday. I worked out both Carbo and lifting today. It felt good to be back at the gym. The kiddos had a blast.

My goal this week, is to continue without soda. Workout 6 days this week and also loss the weight I just gained from vacation. I will try to catch up later to see how everyone is doing.

melissa-I saw you ticker, your doing great on the weightloss. I bet you will be great for the wedding dress!

Kelly - I think that is great that you are talking to your DH. I think lack of sex is a symptom of something else sometimes.. Not enough sleep, or not feeling appreciated... Maybe you and DH can start to walk together. I know my DH gets more sex when he helps out more around the house.

Kelly - Well that's great that you and dh were able to have the heart to heart! Twice a week is good! atleast at my house. We skip a whole week sometimes.

Karen - thanks for the swift kick in the butt!

My goals this week! Drink my water and stay IN my points limit!!! Maybe I'll get a walk in too

I walked yesterday and at some point today I have to do my stretching and core excercises that I learned from my trainer. I have to do 4 cardio sessions this week too so Charlie and I are going to the Y tomorrow morning so I can do the elliptical.

My goals.. do all of my workouts, drink more water, not eat junk food.

Vicki- Is is possible you had a lot more sodium from eating out and just retained some water? I bet it will come right back off!

christie-it is definitely possible. I did drink tons and tons of water on the way home from the trip. I was trying to be careful about sodium. But there is only so much I can control if I am not doing the actual cooking, KWIM? I know it will come back off, just a small setback. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks, Vicki, but I tried the dress on last night with the SPANX and I could only get it zipped up an inch. I wanted Cap'n to help me, but he is sick right now and being a big baby so I didn't bother him anymore. I'm actually going to call David's Bridal right now (I should have done this weeks ago) and see what the turn around time for alterations is. I've been in denial so long.

I'm sure they can do something quickly. These things happen. I'm sorry to hear dh is sick. I have to ask, why do you call him cap'n? It's cute, I hope it is okay I asked. Let us know what happens with the dress. Maybe they can exchange it if it has not been altered for the same dress in a different size. Good luck with the call.

Mel - Most dry cleaners do alterations too. They might have better turn around time than davids bridal. Good luck!

Vicki - I gained 3 pounds on my vacation. I feel for you.

Ok I have gained 5 pounds since I have stopped BF but once a day. So I can't eat everything in site anymore. Darn. I loaded up on fresh salad and some fruits. My goals is to eat 5 servings of veggies and fruits a day, less carbs and only one dessert this week. I am giving up my morning OJ too. We are also having fish three times this week. Now if I can just get my butt in gear and do some walking too.
