Hi Girls ~ I know I've been MIA since I think May, and I can give a lot of excuses, but I'm not gonna. I'm in crisis mode now and I really need your help. I'm in a wedding August 8th...I just tried on my bridesmaid dress. And it doesn't fit. I mean I can't even zip it up and I'm freaking out! I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning so I can put up a ticker. My mind just keeps racing...should I just go get a new dress? Can I get it tailored? Can I lose the weight in time??? OMG OMG OMG OMG!

Melissa ~ Calm honey....you can lose the weight. It's not too far away though, so you will have to stay motivated and stick to it. Mostly, I think you need a plan. You have about 7 weeks. You can do it. Don't spend more $ on a new dress. Fit into this one, and feel and look great doing it. Good luck!

Melissa - You can do this. 1-2 lbs a week for 7 weeks will give you 7-14 lbs. If you lose 10lbs I bet you fit in to that dress. It is very doable. Be sure to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and drink lots of water. You can do this.

Hey don't fret. This may be the jumpstart you need? Do you go to the gym? I would start eating healthy SMALL meals and working out like you are on a mission. LOTS of water! You can do this!! OMG I am nervous too. Feel like I need to fit into a dress.

Melissa ~ I'm sorry for some reason I read as Sep 8th, OH WELL, you can do it anyways. We will help you!

Karen ~ LOL at you feeling nervous. You are the LAST person to be concerned about fitting into anything...well, except the girls maybe.

Thanks, Karen! I've got my gym bag packed and after my new employee breakfast orientation (which I will only eat fruit) I will be going to the gym. I'm also planning on stocking up at the supermarket this afternoon. Any suggestions of what I should throw in my cart????

GIRL FIBER. lol But seriously anything low sodium. I am not a great eater but I do eat better than most. I am betting some of the other girls can help with that one. I say lots of yogurt if you like that for snacks, I eat the Fiber one granola bars as they are high in fiber so that means it will COME OUT better. and then fresh fruits and veggies. Portion control is key. Small meals and burn more fat. Girl you CAN DO THIS! You will get this jump start and then be on your way~~ What about doing atkins or south beach for that first ten pounds to fall off fast? Seems to work for Jenna. Ask her for some info.

Karen - those fiber one bars don't give you extreme gas? That's what it does to my, like I have to concentrate to hold it in at work!!!

Melissa - Lots of veggies, fish and chicken. You can eat a huge salad with minimal dressing for not very many calories. Make every calorie count that you eat. Lemons to put in your water if you not a huge water fan.

Melissa- Fab diets to me aren't the best "Forever" plans but if you cut your carbs for 3 weeks you could easily drop 10 lbs. Then, when those weeks are over and the wedding has come and gone you can add back in fruit, whole grain breads and pastas and sweet potatoes (like South Beach diet) and you would continue to lose but at a slower, healthier rate.

Robin- I'm trying to think of another way to say "a loss is a loss" without sounding like a copy-cat.....and I'm not that creative. AF really screws things up, though. I bet next week will be better!

robin-I agree with everyone else. You should not be down about it. Your still working in the right direction! Hay we are doing this together. Don't give up. Your doing great, your keeping me focused and motivated!

melissa-I agree with others, you can do this. Just stay very very focused. Eat lots and lots of healthy veggies. Stay away from the starchy vegs. Lots of healthy fruits and low carbs. If you like fish, I would eat lots and chicken. Stay away from the red meats and breads. You can do this and we will be your cheering section!

I had another trainer visit today, it went good. We added another 4 circuit machines. One is quite the ab's workout. That makes 3 ab machines to work on each time. Otherwise, I did the threadmill for 25 minutes. Not as long as I could of, but we had to get going. It was getting late.

On a brighter note though, Ethan loves it there now. He just goes in and plays without crying. So that makes this much easier for me.
I'm really pushing the water now. I'm only drinking 1 none water drink a day. It is hard, but it is working. I feel great, except for stress from needing to get ready for vacation. I just want to stay focused on vacation. I'm planning on lots of seafood since it is Maine. But I have to pass on the butter. Anyway, keep up the good work everyone.
We are going to be one lean group of hot ladies!

Thanks girls! The advice has really helped...I like the idea of trying to stick to a low carb menu for awhile. I've never done the South Beach, but I will do a bit of research. I think at the market today I will stick to protein and vegetables, I don't want to exclude fiber though...well, better get started, off to research!

I put up a ticker. I could have sworn I was only 10 lbs lighter when I tried on the dress or I maybe ordered the wrong size. Either way, that is my goal, which is a HUGE one but all I can do is try.

Thanks again for the support!
