Soooo...everyone quit hiding.

I had politically incorrect meat (veal) and a bunch of asparagus, and a slice of whole wheat toast. And a little bit of quiche.

The normal other stuff today...veggies, fruit, nuts, coconut milk w/CIB, cheese. Did have one small slice of plain cheese pizza hut natural pizza leftover from yesterday at work.

I hit my new favorite organic store on the way home...picked up some fruit and nuts, almond milk, a little slice of quiche, and some little snack things, made from sesame seeds, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds, all sprouted and organic. They're like chips, but made all from seeds. They're kinda good.

I have to get back to exercising more. I need to hit it a solid week and I think that will help. I've been working out 3-4 days a week. Not enough. Bad me.

One of the interesting things about having spent a week as a vegetarian: it's not an issue to not take something out of the freezer for dinner, and to have leftovers for lunch. Cause I can have fruit and veggies and almond butter for dinner.

I think I may be about ready to drop the CIB in the mornings. When I run out, I think I may start to skip it and see how I feel.

Steph - I don't blame you for wanting to drop the CIB - I didn't even finish the one box I bought and you've been drinking it every day for what, 2 years? But you've said yourself that w/out a good bkfast, you're day doesn't go well of eating right. I know you're doing fruit and milk and stuff, but seems like maybe you should put almond butter on your toast or something to make up for that so you still get plenty of protein in the am.

What's CIB?

LOL, "politically incorrect meat" I thought of all sorts of funny ones for that!

I've been steadliy dropping1-3lbs/week. When I screw up I've been making up for it by cutting quantities. I have had no time to work-out at all. (it's either that or sleep and I'm running on very little sleep)

Rhea... 1 - 3 pounds a week is great. Too much too soon isn't healthy and that's right in the range!!

Kaneika ~ I see wheat bread...good girl. Do you have one place you sit to BF? Maybe leaving a bottle of water there on the table so it jumps to mind while you are sitting there... Eggs and oatmeal, I like it!

Rhea ~ CIB = Carnation Instant Breakfast. You are loosing at a terrific rate...that was my norm while I was loosing the first time, 1-3.5lbs/wk, and every two months ar so, I'd have a week of no loss.

Kel ~ Oh, that's a GOOD idea! The almond butter would kick ass on toast, and I can leave off the regular butter that way. Used up the last packet of CIB today, so I'm not going to buy anymore. It's kinda a habit at this point. I'm going to try the almond butter on toast... =)

Gonna make a lobster tail with fruit and veggies for dinner. Yum.

And I AAAAAAAMMMMM going to get back on the workout horse. I need everyone to torture me and make sure I'm doing it. No days off! If I want a rest, I'll do a lighter workout. But it is ON now!

Stephanie - I actually sit in the exact same place every time that I BF...I will start leaving a bottle there...I may end up leaving an empty bottle there just so I can get a cold one from the fridge...and I just knew that you would like the eggs and oatmeal...

Had big weekend breakfast today, Kashi oatmeal with a handful of raspberries and a handful of blackberries mixed in (SO good), two slices of whole wheat toast with a little almond butter, and 8oz chocolate almond milk. Yum.

BTW, for anybody with a sweet tooth, you might try that chocolate almond milk - I've had very little craving for any additional sweets this week, and I've only had a cup every two or three days.

Lunch was six pieces of sushi made with brown rice and a bowl of bing cherries, a couple sesame wheat crackers, and two slices of cheddar.

Had a few flax snax (organic vegan, sprouted sesame, sunflower, and flax seeds, pressed into little cracker thingies). Like.

Dinner, mmmm...I dunno. Fruit. Veggies. Probably skip meat. Not too much interest tonight.

Gonna get dressed right now and workout. If you see me on facebook in the next hour and a half, kick my butt off.

New bikini pix, not much change. I was up a few pounds after Gail was here, but it came right back off after my fruit and veggie week. Only a couple pounds difference between the two pix, but I think I see maybe a little more definition. Should see a much more dramatic change by the beginning of August; the train is really rolling now. Eating habits are still leaning strongly toward fruits and veggies, little amounts of animal proteins (I made barbeque chicken in my toaster oven tonight, but didn't even finish it). Feeling good.

I think I'm going to start swimming on Wednesday nights after work. I might need to get some goggles though if I'm going to do laps (paranoid about my contacts; my eyelashes LOVE to hang on to the water).

So it will look like this: yoga with tone and sculpting (light cardio) OR heavy cardio (light tone and sculpting) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, swim on Wednesdays, walking on the beach on Saturdays and Sundays, with an opional additional workout on the weekends if I feel like it. Nicely rounded.

I also want to start riding (my new boots will be here in the next few days! ), so I guess riding would take the place of walking on Sundays. Good exercise, horsebackriding is. And THAT will be a supremely well rounded workout routine, don't you think?

Yum on the smoothie. Keep it up with the fruit!

I ran out the door this morning to meet Sarah and Todd and the boys, so I got down a dry piece of toast and some water.

We went to this Greek restaurant and I had a blackened grouper sandwich. And fries.

Having oatmeal with raspberries and blackberries, some leftover ranch beans, cherries, cheese, and nuts for dinner.

I feel like I'm on a great track now. I'm super excited about starting to swim too.

The vegetarian thing is sticking quite a bit. I'm actually enjoying concentrating on fruits and veggies. I like eating like this. I don't feel guilty for eating a lot either. Cause who cares if I'm filling up on tons of fruit? And if I want a snack, a few nuts or crackers, or a piece of cheese and some cherries do the trick. I was in the store just now and not having interest in getting the same old stuff I might have wanted before.

Coooool.

I'm in serious need of figuring out my diet (aka grocery list) once I return home. Not going to worry about it while we are here on vacation. We generally stock up on fruits and veggies, and do a lot of grilling. I wish we had the fish selection back home that we have here... I love seafood, but in IL there isn't a whole lot to choose from.

I've been seeing a chiro for all my back and neck pain, and since starting w/ him I notice I'm a lot more comfortable. I've been doing rehab (strengthening exercises), and bought the Jillian Michael's 30 day dvd, did it once, planned on doing it while here, but haven't. Today we are just vegging at the house, so maybe the boys will nap and I can do it then. It'll be nice to jump in the pool as a reward!

Steph.... if you're going to continue limiting your meat intake, make sure you're getting enough B12.
