So Steph get back on that ball again tonight. If you are sore the best way to feel better is to get back on it...Stretch some!

Meredith- I am long legged 33"inseam so the BIG ball works for me. I think they told me in class to sit on it and you should have a perfect 90 degree angle.

Christie- way to go on walking again. It is so hard to do it with a screaming baby distracting you. Been there and done that. Maybe tomorrow will be better. This past Summer I would time my walks when it was time for nap and she would cry a bit before putting herself to sleep. Then I could get a good hour walk in with her peacefully sleeping. It was great for us both.

So I got in a workout today but dh is REALLY sore from his fall. He skinned his knee and ankle and his knee is a bit swollen so he is taking the night off from weight training. I think I will just go be with him and rest. Afterall I did serve 200 tonight so I got tons of walking in.

Okay talk to you workout girls tomorrow. GOOOOOOOO team!

OK - just got home from the grocery. I have really been trying to think back on what I was eating when I worked out all the time and was tiny. I never really sat down and ate lunch like I do now. I ate a little something every 2 or 3 hours during the day, then a normal-sized (that means only one serving) dinner and was done - I might have had s.f.jello or diet vanilla coke if I felt like snacking. So today I went out and got the foods I used to eat. I will really have to write a time on them and eat them at that time. W/out a really STRICT eating plan, I don't know what/when/how much to eat. I got lean sausage, string cheese, apple slices, nuts, chicken breast, tuna, salad, low-carb tortillas, and sugar free jello. Then I'll make a regular dinner, make sure to add a couple of veggies so I'm not starving, and be done w/ food by 7pm. And we're going to put a DVD player downstairs and bring my stuff from The Firm down there so I can put Hannah in her playpen after school and do at least part of a workout before her dinner and fixing our dinner. I guess I have been using the excuse that I can't get in a whole workout w/ her, so I've got to quit making that excuse b/c 10-15 mins would be better than none, and she may want to play for a long time and let me get a whole workout in.

Kelly you are so right...SOME is better than none. And those groceries sound great! You are doing great. and you look GREAT so try and pick that head up and keep going. We are here and are SO PROUD of you!

I am going to get a workout in when Riley goes down for a nap...Been a long morning so far oh how I look forward to that NAP. I recorded some shows from FitTV jsut now so when she goes down I can give those a try. I really need to get me a step again. I had one and sold it at a yard sale since I was going to the gym then...Now I have some Step shows I want to do and no step..

Karen-I have a step under my back bed.. need to drag that out. I DVRd some fit tv stuff too. We'll see when I get to those. I have a basketball game tonight (church women's team) and I usually play the whole game so I will definitely get my excercise tonight. Good luck to everyone else. That will make 4 days in a row for me!

I've been stretching it out for the past two days (I mean, I could barely get up or down from a chair!), and today, I'm better, so I'll walk tonight (short, 1 mile, about 20 minutes) and play with my ball again (I gotta do some ball crunches for the tummy, though one of the exercises I did the other day really targeted an area I want to get to (the part of the back where the last of the little roll is ), then plan another day or so off based on how I feel, and then try the big walk (the 3 mile).

Daniel did some adjustments on my neck last night -- I've been having this problem with my neck/back/right shoulder, extending down to the end of my fingers for almost a year. Stemmed from stress and just got out of control. I couldn't get the one dumb doctor to refer me to the master physical therapist that I see, so I've just been doing what I could with stretching and ergonomics, etc. My MPT really taught me a lot two years ago, and with my background in dance, I have such a widespread understanding of the body, she was glad to be able to teach me. But anyway, he messed with some stuff last night, said my C3 was cocked to the right and my C4 was cocked almost 1/4 inch to the left. Well, gee, I wonder why I've been having trouble with that nerve and the muscles. Hopefully, this is the end of my arm/shoulder troubles. *please please*

Sounds good everyone, keep it up!

Ok, so I had a TOTALLY strange experience yesterday, and didn't work out because of it. I was walking Jaicee up the porch of her babysitters house when all of the sudden I started seeing spots everywhere. I got the worst headache, and when Tanya opened to door to take Jaicee I almost fell over, and then my nose started bleeding. Weird, huh? It just felt like my blood pressure dropped really low. About 3 hours later (while I was at work) I realized we had a bp cuff so I went and took it...113/56. Isn't that kind of low? And at this point I was feeling better. I'm usually in the 125/85 range.....it was totally weird. I was soo dizzy all day, so I decided to take it easy last night rather than pass out while taking care of my daughter. I'm feeling better today, so hopefully I can get a workout in tonight!

Jeez Jenna! You're systolic is fine - 113 is great, but the diastolic, 53 is extremely low! Nose bleeds are a very regular indicator that something weird is happening to your BP at an extreme level. If you can hear your heart beat in your ears, or your eyes, that means it's elevated; the headache too, a very common indicator that something strange is going on.

Since you have a cuff, I'd take it a few times this week and write your pressures down. Make sure you are eating at normal times every day, balanced, and keeping your fluid intake at a regular level. If it happens again, I'd go to your doc immediately. If you start to feel dizzy again, try to increase your blood volume immediately by drinking a bunch of fluids (like a bunch of Gatorade - not water that will run right through you unless that's all you have) and rest. Getting up slowly when you've been feeling dizzy can also help. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I bet that was scary. {{{hugs}}}

Jenna- Poor thing. Take care of yourself mama!!

Just had my basketball game. Of course we only had 6 people so I had to play the whole game. Talk about a workout. I am too old for that.. LOL We lost too.. Blah.

Another good eating day! I feel so "on it" right now. I really think I can lose these last 9 lbs.

Jenna - sorry a/b yesterday. Hopefully it was a one time thing.

Christie - love your attitude.

I am SOOO proud of myself for eating good today. I packed all my foods w/ the times written on them and I didn't eat anything extra. I only got a/b 5 mins. of exercise b/c DH and his cousin came home and I wasn't going to work out in front of his cousin. But the eating went great! I also feel more in control of other stuff b/c of that.

Kelly - I'm so glad you are doing well!! I hope the new eating plan works for you.

Jenna - My goodness, I hope you are better now.

I on the other hand feel like I've "fallen off the wagon." I haven't worked out at all this week and I've eaten horribly.

Did a little bit of ball-work last evening.

Good job everyone, and Mere, better watch out of Karen-the-junk-yard-dog will get on your case! Don't beat yourself up, k? One good day, one good choice, one 5 minute exercise session can give you the boost to get going. You can do it!
