Jenna one thing I can say is when I workout through AF I have a lighter one and less days. When I run more in the Summer it is REALLY lighter...Now when I skip my workout due to feeling like yucko during that time I have way more bleeding and intense cramps. So keep up the working out it will help. As hard as it is...I know. UGH I hate AF!

So I didn't have time for cardio yesterday due ti a crazy schedule but we did do weight training lastnight for an hour so I figure that is better than curling up onthe couch with oreos like I had wanted too.

I am trying ot get some things done around here today...Laundry, bathrooms, and what ever else I can....It is a MESS...So now while Riley is napping instead of working out like I would rather I am doing housework...UGH better get back to it and hopefully I can get a cardio session in later when dh gets home.

Keep up the good work girls oh and Lisa...You don't think Kelly RIpa is TOO skinny??

I DID IT!!!!!!!!

I walked on Sunday! 1 mile, to the lake and back, and did some 'tricep squeezes' where I swing a mostly straight arm backwards and squeeze the tricep, 1 arm per every two steps.

And then I got my new ball DVD to work yesterday, so I did a half-way ball workout yesterday. I was half watching and half doing, but I can feel in my glutes that I did SOMETHING!

Another pound for me this week, and my BP was 108/68!!!! Fantastic. That's the first time my diastolic has been below 70 in years.

Good job everyone! I'm really feeling the momentum going around here. I was so pleased on Sunday, I had a Hostess chocolate creme filled cupcake (I'd been craving one for three days by then). But I gave DH the other one, so I wasn't tempted to eat that one too.

And I'm about to QUIT-quit smoking too. I'm suring cutting down there has had an effect on the BP.

Thanks Jenna. *whoosh* I hereby take back any alleged cupcake remarks I may have said (typed).

Wowee, I'm really feeling what I was doing yesterday! I feel it in my delts lower middle back, and just under my butt cheeks, so I did good. Gotta start working the tummy -- they had a good exercise for the sides (love handle spots) on my DVD with the ball. Okay, no more chocolate talk.

Steph describe the Oblique exercise usuing the ball to me if you can? I love ball workouts and I need help with my love handles... Mommy muffin top? I don't have it bad but it annoys me when I am in spandex working out or if I want to wear a lower rise jean. Not so CUTE

Karen-you can lay on your side on the ball, with the ball under your waist area, and you have your hands behind your head and lift your head and upper body toward your waist, which will make your obliques crunch inwards. Hope this makes some sense!

Since I'm working from home today, I will be working out short when I am off the clock!

Okay, and here's the version my Gunnar guy does (I know which ball Bina's talking about -- I don't have that one, I have the BIG one):

Lie on side (hip) with top leg/foot on top of ball, centered, floor leg wrapped a little in front of ball. Floor arm stretched out perpendicular to body, palm down, for support, top arm with hand behind head, elbow out. Lead with elbow toward ball up, then back down, keeping core tight and ball steady as always.

I did feel this -- like an isolated side-crunch. It's not a big movement, and I didn't do very many of them, as I am not very experienced with the ball and there was a lot going on at once, but if you've got the basics down, it should be a breeze for you.

Bina I have a BIG ball so not sure that will work?

Okay Steph I gotcha I will give it a go tomorrow! Thanks

Christie- That is so GOOD! I must have missed something? Why woul dyou have two boys and a double stroller?? Either way that is great. If you can do the ab work when you are still warmed up that is even better.. Either way GREAT!

I ran for thirty on the treadmill then did a bike workout of 30 minutes. plus did abs after that. So about an hour workout. It felt great...I was struggling to get going but once I did I was glad. Off to watch American Idol then Biggest Loser. Boy does that show inspire me to keep working out!

Karen- I keep a friends boy 1 or 2 days a week when she subs and she does the same for Charlie. He is 14 months old.

I did some abs. I bought a "big ball" and started using it some. Now I need to find a DVD I like to go with it.

YAY US!

Karen and Steph-I've only ever had a big ball, so that exercise works on that one too.

Christie-great job on all the walking! I wish I could be a runner, but running is so not for me.

I worked out again today, yay!! Avery isn't that into the TV but she seems to love my workouts and laughs at me as I'm bopping up and down.

Christie- that is so nice taht you have a friend to switch with like that. And it gives Charlie some time with another baby too...That is cool. Oh you do need a ball video...The moves are subtle but it will work you OUT! I used to take a FITBALL class at the gym and boy do I miss it. I use it to work my buns.

I am so proud of you girls that are logging in workouts everyday. It is almost like we can't let each other down so we got to work out! I love this! I plan to do a video when Riley goes down at 10 then weights with dh tonight...Hopefully he will feel like it he fell all the way down the stairs this morning in his suit...Needless to say not a great start to the morning...He said he hurt his knee so we shall see how he feels. Otherwise I will do some myself.

Count me in on the work outs! I did my turbo jam video again last night. Man that thing kicks my BUTT! I can barely walk down the stairs when I'm done. Gives me gumby legs! I'm not sure what I'll get to accomplish today...I work, and DH works till 8pm tonight. So when I get Jaicee home around 4pm today, if she naps for awhile I'll probably try and do the 20 minute fast cardio burn with turbo jam. So everyone keep your fingers crossed for Jaicee taking a good nap so mommy can workout and start dinner!
