Jenna - Great job!! Christie - Those recipes look great, thanks. Karen - Have fun working out! I didn't get a workout this weekend......well, I had to chase, tackle, then wrestle matches away from my 2 yr old nephew, does that count? I did send back the bathing suit bottoms and ordered the next size up. I hope it fits, or else I'm gonna feel depressed if I have to go up another size! |

Checking up -- good job everyone. Down another 1 lb (maybe more, the scale was acting weird), and I've started my three mile walks again, yesterday and Sunday. For reasons I won't go into, I probably won't have much trouble keeping that going every night; it takes about an hour.
Might not be around much, but I'll be thinking of you. |

I'm in the didnt-get-to-workout-this-weekend club too! BUT we did go for a walk both Saturday and Sunday since the weather was so nice so I guess that counts for something!
I am still down 2lbs! If it turns out that I am PG, I will have to drop out of this thread for obvious reasons, but of course will check in to encourage everyone! |

Bina youdon't have to stop working out because you are pregnant. I worked out nearly the whole time both pregnancies. You can't get out of here that easily! OHHHHHHH I hope you are PREGGO!!
I haven't worked out yet today but I do have on my workout clothes for after the kids go to bed...I have been out all day running errands and had an appt so I will get to it....Dh has a dinner meeting so I am solo with the kids for baths and dinner...After that if there is any energy left I will workout. I am trying to lose 20 lbs but I keep gaining weight instead. 9 years ago I weighed in at 128 lbs then I met this guy who was a fast food junkie and I gained weight to 145 lbs. When I met dh I lost the 5 lbs and have stayed at that weight for the past 8 years. NOW I am trying to lose weight and am gaining weight. I now weigh in at 150 lbs. and can't lose it. I walk on a treadmill for half hour and walk over 2 miles. Then I do my crunches and cardio then I ride a bike for half an hour and put in 4 miles but no loss of weight.

Sweetpea- Good luck! Excercise alone is never enough for me. I have to watch what I eat too. Weightwatchers works for me. Just thought I'd share.
Karen- Hope mommy got some me time last night! I did an hour workout on Fittv and I am SORE today. Means it is working right? |

Well I dont' eat breakfast as I get up to dang early. As far as dinner and supper I am only eating a salad with a small sandwich if that. I am lucky if I am eating 1200 calories.

Sweetpea-No breakfast? BIG no no. Grab some granola bars or Carnation instant breakfast you HAVE to make time for something so your body gets your metabolism started. Do you drink soft drinks? Don't get discouraged. You are doing great by working out. Maybe you need to step it up a bit. What is your heartrate like?
Jenna way to go on working out! You are doing great momma! Christie- NO me time lastnight. Got the kids in bed by 8:30 then dh walked in ans we started talking then it ws 9 and I was beat so I sat down on the couch and watched American Idol then was so ready for night night. Hopefully after Riley goes down for nap before all my other stuff today...Life is good? |

Sweetpea~ I agree with Karen, your body NEEDS breakfast - that is the most important meal of the day! good job on your work outs. I hope the weight starts coming off soon.
Ok, so I did my treadmill last night instead. I actually got up the energy to JOG! I didn't think I could do it. dh turned the tv on to distract me, and I looked down and I'd already been jogging for 15 minutes! I had no idea I could do that! It felt great. I'm usually a speed walker, so it really took me by suprise. I'll probably try again later in the week. I'll be super busy the next few days. |
