Well I suck! My weight is back up to 150! I have still been eating perfectly!

I went to the gym yesterday after my dh went while Syrinna was napping. I walked a quick mile. Next time I will walk and then lift weights. I guess I still have 10 to lose just to get back to post baby weight. I was 10 pounds thinner just weeks after I had her. This is so frustrating!!!!!

Good job Renee!!!

Melissa do you weigh yourself at the same time every time because weigh fluctuates quite a bit through out the day

I think i missed tracking what I ate yesterday but oh well here's today

May 9th

Breakfast- 2 fat free waffles and 1 tbs syrup cal 180

lunch- Broccoli and cheese cal 140

Dinner- will be a lean cusine pizza cal 290 diet dr pepper

Exercise 1 hr taebo
total cal 610
I went to the dr yesterday about my gallbladder he said the only thing I can do is have it taken out which sucks I'm going to try to wait till Jan though because I don't have anymore time I can take off from work right now plus I don't want to have to stop exercising right now I have gotten into such a routine. I guess after I have the ultrasound on it I will decide if I an wait or not

We joined a gym last Friday and so far I have gone every other day for 1 hour. Hopefully the weight will start coming off now!

Wow, I have lost 7 pounds since joining the gym 10 days ago Only 7 pounds till I reach my pre-pregnancy weight! Then another 20 pounds I still can't fit in most of my clothes...it seems my butt is too wide

That's awesome, Kristy!

I was trying to diet for a few days but I've decided that I need to focus more on BFing right now, so I've cut out sweets and fatty foods, but I have to eat when I'm hungry.
I had been walking for a few days but now it won't stop raining.

Thanks Kelly! I hope my hips shrink so I can fit back into my clothes. I know what you mean about eating. I tried to cut back a few days and didn't eat as much and my milk supply went down so I have to make sure I eat enough and drink enough water. I was so glad to join the gym. I think it has helped. Don't you live near me? LA Fitness has a special going right now that is $100 total for you and Dh to join then $30 a month each. They have daycare that starts at 12 weeks for $5 a month. I could use a work-out buddy

That LAFitness is a little too far for us. DH wants to join the new 24 hr fitness, but I'm afraid to add any monthly payments to our budget til we get used to baby.

Kedney~ Woo-hoo to the weight loss! Good job!

Kelly~ You have lost a ton! All of your weight must have been baby and water. Oh, how I wish that would be my case, too!

Kristy - I read in the other thread that you're doing low-carb. That has worked great for me in the past and I was planning to do it but I'm worried a/b how it will affect my milk supply. Has it hurt yours?

It hasn't changed but I am keeping a close eye on how Jack acts to make sure it doesn't. I read a lot of information online about breastfeeding and low carb diets and they said to eat healthy carbs and increase the carbs if your milk supply decreases. I have been eating about 20-30 carbs a day so I don't throw my body into ketosis because I don't know what that will do to Jack. It is working, I lost another pound today so that makes 5 pounds since Sunday. Plus I am working out so hopefully that is helping too! I am so ready to get back into my regular clothes!

Thanks, Kristy. I think I might start back with that on Monday. (Well, if we have any grocery money. Luckily DH gets paid before our lunch date next week. The little bit of pay I lost having Hannah really sucks big time)
Let me know if you notice any problems before Monday.

What low carb diet were you two doing? I have done South Beach in the past with GREAT results. Most of the time I've been trying to stick with phase 2 eating during this pregnancy, I just have days where that goes completely out the window. Glad to know 20-30 carbs a day doesn't seem to dry up the milk supply or have any bad effects on the baby!

Jenna - I was doing South Beach but after 3 days I really felt like my milk supply was dropping so now I'm just trying to eat tons of really healthy foods. I ate junk last night and Hannah has had a tummy ache all day. I feel terrible.

I haven't had any breastmilk issues but I waited until Jack was 8 weeks old and nursing was well established. The 20-30 carbs I eat are mainly veggies. It is probably less than that now. Today I had...

Breakfast didn't eat today but normally eggs and sausage or bacon ~ 2.5 carbs

Lunch:
Boston Market 1/4 chicken white ~ 0 carbs
mixed veggies with cheese sauce ~ 5 carbs
diet coke ~ 0 carbs

Dinner:
Grilled asparagus ~ 2.5 carbs
Salad with ranch ~ 3.0 carbs
Steak ~ 0 carbs
water ~ 0 carbs

And I will have later
Sugar free jello with whipped topping ~ 1 carb

total ~ 11.5 carbs give or take and it is really healthy eating

That is really healthy eating! Thanks for the advice about not starting until she's about 8 weeks old. Although I'm not sure how long I'll be able to breast feed in the first place. I get 12 weeks off so I want to bfeed that whole time, but I don't have a job where I can just get up and pump any time I need to, so I worry about what I'll need to do after I go back to work. But I'm glad to know there will be some South Beach buddies out there! I love the SBD!!!
