Default Hey!

Hey! LOL about the Mcdonals!
I have been having a rough couple of days with John, John so no workouts cause I would feel too bad leaving poor dh to deal with his crying fits alone.
Yesterday I ate a handful of turkey pepperoni's & a BBQ sandwich & of course I had a couple of dr.peppers & a cup of coffee.
Today I ate some turkey pepperoni (so easy to eat with a baby in one arm) & a plain sonic cheeseburger tonight with a cherry sprite.
So I guess the good news is that I didn't have a chance to eat most of the day maybe that will counteract the lack of workouts. I really need a good workout soon & some sleep!

Jenna-Sept. will be here before you know it.

Wow, good job ladies. Dh is home so we had Wendy's for lunch I have to get better at this...but I did lose 2 more pounds this morning. Maybe my body needs more calories in order to lose weight since I am breastfeeding. I don't know but as long as the scale keeps lowering I am okay with that

Wow, Renee - you did great with the diet, but you might be starving by the end of the week.

Maybe I should start my diet journal now, since I will have a ton of weight to lose. When I weighed myself this morning, I hadn't gained any more which was good. I've gained a/b 10 lbs in the last 2 weeks of mostly fluid - just when I thought I was done gaining weight. Then I thought back to what I'd eaten yesterday and I had 2 cookies before dinner, 2 after dinner, and a pudding at 3am when I couldn't sleep.

Default Hey!

Kristy- !!!! Ha! Ha! I envy that you are able to eat fast food & still lose so much weight. That being said, good job momma!

Renee-Good job on your diet & fitness! Hope the gall stones attacks stay away! I have a feeling my diet & exercise plan is going to get derailed more often that I would like. Oh well, Hopefully I will get a good workout in tomorrow & feel better.

Melissa-You said no to Oreos . Will power!

Kelly-Won't be long!!!! Yipee! Come on over & join us. You are just not allowed to restrict your cals yet. You have a growing baby girl in that tummy.

I had a sausage & biscuit from hardees this morning with my dr. pepper. (Thanks to my hubby, he was trying to be thoughful). Lunch was a 100 calorie fudge pop. Dinner was a handful of turkey pepperoni & another dr.pepper. Can you tell I have had a rough day, ha! ha! Man, I have to find some on the go healthy foods. I don't have time to cook most days & I am usually trying to eat with one hand. Any suggestions?

I replace my cookies with Jello today - still extra cals, but at least it's fat free.

Leena - are you having a hard time b/c you don't ever have a chance to have your hands empty, or b/c you just don't have many healthy food choices on hand. I used to spend a/b an hour on Sunday measuring out and prepackaging foods for the whole week - then I don't have to think a/b it when I'm hungry. Stocking up on Lean Cuisines would also give you some quick options.

Default Hey!

Kelly-I just have to hold John, JOhn all the time so if it has to be prepared or eaten with utensils I am screwed. I can do a lot of things with only one hand free & in a baby in my arms but cooking & cutting things up just isn't one of them. I have read several articles that say 6 to 8 weeks is the peak time for fussiness, that the average baby cries 2-4 hrs per day for no apparent reason??? It suppose to drop way, way down by 12 weeks so I am praying.

Yesterday I had almost a whole baked potato with fat free butter & fat free cheese a couple of dr. peppers & a glass of wine last night after my hubby took over with the baby. I was so stressed out by the end of the day I didn't want to eat. I walked our stairs with the baby was the only exercise I got. I forgot to weigh this morning so I will try to remember tomorrow. I am curious to how my body is reacting to little food & little exercise.

Leena-I did the holding thing for about 8 weeks, non-stop because she wouldn't nap in her bassinette and would cry if I put her down. After a while I started putting her either in her crib under the mobile or in the bouncy so I could sit and eat a meal. She fussed a bit but got used to it and I could get some stuff done and not feel so stuck all the time. You have to break that sooner than later or you will be starting some bad habits.

My daughter who used to fuss alot now only cries when wet or hungry. It got better around 10 weeks when she started sleeping better and in her crib. It does get better.

Thurs
BF-granola bar
Lunch-Lean Cuisine
Dinner-Chicken, rice, black bean tacos (low fat tort)

Default Hey!

Renee-Humm, how many calories are in a long island iced tea??? Who cares! Calories from alcohol are much needed calories with a new baby. Have fun with the girls!

Melissa-I know that I need to set him down every once in a while. I have to be honest though, I do it more for me than for him. I know that if he cries for a minute he will be fine, but I am not sure my nerves can take it. I do anything & everything in my power to keep him content because I am just about to lose it. If I let him cry for more than a few seconds it turns into him screaming, turning red, not breathing, oh it is sooo bad! I had no idea how heartbreaking it can be to hear your baby cry so much. I keep praying that I will wake up & he will be 12 weeks old & happy. I know that is so selfish, but it is true. Thank you for reassuring me that things will get better.

Leena Ian is the same way Mat says let him cry he'll be fine but within 30 seconds it goes to a piercing scream he acts like he's dying and then it takes forever to calm him down so I'd rather just respond quickly to avoid it. Lately though it is my 2 yr old that is driving me crazy he doesn't listen at all and is constantly tearing this up he boke the drawer in the changing table by climbing in it then he dumped out my expensive face wash and he flushed a small bottle of lotion down the toilet i swear it takes everything in me not to flip out on him by the end of the week. Hey I guess I do need alcohol lol.

Renee - have fun tonight

Melissa - you're doing great with the weight

Leena - what about some Lean Cuisine pizzas? You could eat those with one hand. Or make chicken or tuna salad and wrap it up in tortillas the night before, then you could grab one for lunch and eat it with one hand.
