Default Diet/Exercise Journal

Just wondering if anybody else would be interested in keeping a diet & exercise journal? I was planning on keeping one online to help keep me motivated & on track. I don't want to do it alone though. If not I am sure I can find another website that I can journal on but it would be easier to do it here. Besides all my friends are already here.

Yeah, I could keep one here. I have gained about 7 pounds since I quite bf. I am not burning as many calories. I feel so out of shape and bad about how I look. The problem is I can't find time to go to the gym. When I get home from work I have only 2 hours with Syrinna and then it's time to make bottles, pack her bags for daycare, make dinner/clean up the kitchen, do laundry and set clothes out for the next day. After all that it's late and I would spend the last hour of the day at the gym. What do other working moms do about working out?

Default Hey!

Melissa-Yeah! I have someone to journal with. I hope some of the other working moms can give you some ideas on how to fit your workouts into your very hectic schedule. I know it must be really hard to do.

So should we come here and write down what we ate and if we exercised and what we did? I will start tomorrow because I am going out to eat with my sister today and I know it won't be healthy. I will try to go to the gym after she goes to bed either today or tomorrow. I will just have to find the time. What is your plan and your goals? Are you going back to work?

Leena ~ I think this is a great idea...it will make me cheat less if I have to share with you all what I eat I don't have a gym membership or any work-out tapes but we have started walking at night. I gained 45 pounds during my pregnancy and lost 30 pounds the first 5 days from water retention...now I just need to lose the last 15 pounds and then a few more from before I got pregnant. I so just want to fit into my clothes again!

Default Hey!

I just got back from my dr.'s appt. & got the ok to start working out again. He said he can't even tell where my tears were they have healed so well. So I plan on starting my workout & diet today!

Melissa-Yup, I just thought we could check in here everyday & journal what we have ate & our exercise for the day. I need to lose 35 lbs. some of it from pregnancy & a few of them I gained before I got pregnant. I haven't set my workout goals yet, I guess I need to do that. I will give it some thought & post my goals later.
I am a SAHM now. So I will try to squeeze my workouts in during John, John's cat naps. Have fun at the gym. I hope that I can get back to my gym soon but I have to find out at what age you can bring the baby to their daycare.

Kristy-I felt the same way. If I have to fess up to all of you what I have ate maybe I will do a little better at sticking to a healthy diet. You don't have much to lose.

My post pregnancy goals:

I want to lose at least the 7 pounds gained after bf to get back to 140 (5 pounds less than pre-preg)

I want to go to the gym 3 times per week, on Saturday, Sunday and once after Syrinna is asleep during the week.

I want to tone up my tummy, hips and butt so I can wear my pre-preg clothes without hanging out over the waistband.

I would love to lose an additional 10 pounds but this would be a dream.

My goal weight: a fit 140 (for now)

Leena ~ I feel great! Jack wants to eat all the time but hopefully that is burning calories! I think I will just try to eat healthier because I think it would be too hard to do ww with kids and a husband to cook for as well. Maybe if I find some time I will research ww.

I am doing terribly! It's like once I commit to dieting, then I feel the pressure and start eating worse! I ate a brownie yesterday with my lunch which was a blt and chips. I guess I will have to try to start again today.
