kelly-sorry just saw this. Prepare it the way the box states with water and butter. You can make homemade stuffing if you want, just follow your favorite recipe.

Tammy - I think we should have a cookbook like section. Have different threads for beef/chicken/fish/side dishes/cakes/cookies/desserts/muffins/crockpot/nonalcoholic drinks/alcohol drinks/sandwiches/soups/casseroles/freezer meals/easy dinner. We should limit them to be only recipes that we have made and love.

That is a great idea. We could label the threads something like "Favorite Beef Recipes" "Favorite Chicken Recipes" etc

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings - Allrecipes

I made this Sunday with a few variations:

*Instead of 2 cans cream of chicken, used 1 cream of chick & one cream of celery

*Added 1 bag of frozen mixed vegges

*Omitted the onion(only b/c I didn't have one)

*Used chicken broth vs. water

I think it came out pretty good for a crock pot chicken & dumplings recipe. I'd make it again.

2 T dijon mustard
2 T worchestershire sauce
1 t liquid smoke
1/2 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 t garlic powder

Place roast in crock pot. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Pour bbq sauce mix over roast. Cover and cook on low 8 - 10 hours or on high 4-5 hours. Remove roast from crock pot. Shred meat with fork. Place shredded meat back into crock pot and stir to coat meat evenly with sauce. Spoon meat on to sandwich buns and top wiht additional bbq sauce if desired.
This is tonights dinner. Can hardly wait.
