2 T worchestershire sauce
1 t liquid smoke
1/2 t salt
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 t garlic powder

Place roast in crock pot. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Pour bbq sauce mix over roast. Cover and cook on low 8 - 10 hours or on high 4-5 hours. Remove roast from crock pot. Good idea for a thread! I LOVE crockpot recipes. I posted this one last year I think, but have no idea what thread it's in. This recipe is one of my favorites for the winter time. I always make cornbread to go with it. YUMMY!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup - Allrecipes

Ingrediants:
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 3 whole skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • sour cream (optional)
  • crushed tortilla chips (optional)
Directions:
  1. Place the onion, chili beans, black beans, corn, tomato sauce, beer, and diced tomatoes in a slow cooker. Add taco seasoning, and stir to blend. Lay chicken breasts on top of the mixture, pressing down slightly until just covered by the other ingredients. Set slow cooker for low heat, cover, and cook for 5 hours.
  2. Remove chicken breasts from the soup, and allow to cool long enough to be handled. Stir the shredded chicken back into the soup, and continue cooking for 2 hours. Serve topped with shredded Cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.

Chicken and stuffing

2 full large chicken breasts(meaning both sides of each breast/makes 4 pieces)
2 cans of cream of chicken soup( do not add water to soup)
1 box of stove top stuffing prepared as directed.(I like to add a cut up apple and a handful of cranraisins)
parsley and pepper to taste.

Add chicken on bottom of crock pot, then add soups, then top with prepared stuffing. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. The chicken will fall apart it is so tender.

That is a super easy one. I throw it in at noon if I have not thought of anything before than.

I'll add later this weekend.

I have a question about this one........do you add the liquid that the can says for the soup, or do you just put the soup in without?

Cube steaks with Gravy

1/3 cup flour
6 beef cube steaks( 1 1/2 lbs)
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
3 cups water, divided
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 envelope mushroom gravy mix
1 envelope onion gravy mix

serve with mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles

Place flour in large resealable bag. Add steaks, a few at a time, and shake until coated. In a skillet, cook steaks in oil until lightly browned on each side. Transfer to the crock pot. Add the onion and 2 cups water. Cover and cook for 8 hours on low or until meat is tender. In a bowl, mix together gravy mixes and remaining cup of water. Add to slow cooker; cook 30 minutes longer.

This recipe is fairly low in cost because this is not a tender meat normally. It needs to be cooked low and slow to it be tender. I made this the other night and the family loved it.

Tomato Sauce

2 large cans crushed tomatoes (32 oz cans)
3 med. cans plain tomato sauce (16 oz cans)
3 small cans tomato paste (8 oz cans)
1 onion
4 garlic cloves minced
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon of each oregano, basil, parsley, Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons pepper
any additional COOKED meat you would like to add. (meatballs, sausage, left over meat, chicken) This adds a lot to the taste of the meat.

In a skillet, saute chopped onion and garlic in oil. Cook till onions are softened. Add the tomatoe products to the crock pot, then all the seasonings and the onions/garlic. Mix well. Then add in any of the cooked meats.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. This recipe freezes well. There will be extra to be used in anything you need sauce for. If you want it even thicker add a can of tomato paste in place of one of the tomato sauces.

I will add a pizza dough recipe and others later tonight.

AngelBaby-hope you like it. It safes me on may a night. It can be salty with the stove top, so you may want to buy the reduced salt kind if it bothers you. It is rather plain, but super easy.

I love making this one. It's called Crock Pot Pizza Chicken

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 bell pepper
1 small onion
1 jar pizza sauce
shredded cheese (as much as you like)
salt and pepper
any pizza toppings you like (I usually do mushrooms, olives, and pepperoni)

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Place in bottom of crock pot. Lay cut up bell pepper and onion on top of chicken. Pour pizza sauce over chicken. Cook on low for 8 hours. 30 minutes before eating, sprinkle cheese and pizza toppings on top and cook on high for 30 minutes. Serve over rice.

It sounds kind of weird, but it is SOOO good!

Tammy - I don't have an actual 'recipe', but here is how I make my chili.

1 lb ground beef or turkey
1/2 lb sausage

brown meat with chopped onions and peppers (I like red, yellow or orange peppers. they aren't as bitter as the green ones when they're cooked).

1 can black beans (usually the smaller can like 12 oz or something like that)
1 can kidney beans (red or dark red)
1 can white kidney beans (or what ever other type of bean you want to add)
1 small can of tomato paste
1 12-14 oz can diced tomatoes (I like the ones that have the oregano, basil and something else in them that way I don't have to add more herbs)

Strain and rinse the beans and put in crock pot with all other ingredients. Add a few shakes (maybe about a 1/2 - 1 teaspoon) of black, cayenne or white pepper (depending on how 'hot' you want it - the white pepper and cayenne pepper are more potent than regular black pepper)

Add a couple shakes of crushed, dried chili pepper flakes

Add some chili powder (maybe a couple teaspoons)

I don't measure anything. Maybe start with a little bit of the seasonings and when it's half cooked, taste it and see if you need more. I tend to make mine a little on the spicy side, but that's how dh likes it.

Mix everything really well, cover and cook for a few hours -the last batch I made I cooked for 2 hours on high and another 1 1/2 on low.
