Kelly - Love your outfit! Cassie - Good luck on the walk. Tammy - You are going to melt at this rate! Keep up the good work. Jenna - I wish that I was able to work out as much as you. I am planning on taking Marika walking some more. I need a different stroller so I can start jogging. Steph - How is the progress this week. Emily - I LOVE Mexican food! I try to eat healthy when I have some but I splurge on salsa and chips.....OOOOPPPPSSSS! ![]() Karen - 4 more days girlie! How are you feeling? Sounds like you had a crazy day. Sarah - How are you doing and how are the boys? Bina - Hope AF wasn't too hard on you. I HATE AF....she screws everything up it seems. I think I've been bad this week. Mexican food once, a couple breakfast tacos, a soda, a hershey bar...nothing too outrageous, but... I always feel like this when I'm tired, and I'm not sleeping well. About two weeks ago, right after my grandma died, I realized that I'm carrying so much tension in my neck and upper back/shoulders, that I think some of my sleeping issues are coming from that right now. And that I'm taking valium during the day to treat it. Sleeping pills at night. And iburpofin every day. I took a few muscle relaxors that weekend and things were so much better. I've been trying to get my doc on the phone for two weeks now (she's only returned one message of five; It was the day I went to see my dad about his possible prostate cancer, and didn't have the phone on me); I had just seen her a week beforehand. Anyway, I'm thinking if I can see how some muscle relaxors would do, it may help unwind me, and cut me back on the ambien, valium, and the ibuprofin. I take one soma (that's the muscle relaxor), and I'm fine for a day or so. Do some exercises and such to stay low-tension, but there's a point where it's just too far gone, you know? Right now, my right side feels like it's on fire (it's the area that bridges the cervical spine and thorasic spinal regions, like the base of your neck, and the area just above the shoulder blade near the spine, some on the top of the shoulder, and also the back of my shoulder; like the muscular area that is directly opposite the center of the clavacle). Ugh. Dying. Makes sense to me to try one different drug and see if it knocks back my consumtion of three others, one of which is a controlled substance. BUT I CAN'T GET HER ON THE DAMN PHONE!!!! So, I'm going to go show up on Monday and make a little scene.
I increased to six pushups in the past two nights. No soreness. I think I'll do that through the end of the weekend and then bump up to seven. Weigh-in on Sunday; I'll report back on Tuesday. |

Kayla - I don't know why you would be embarrassed to post that - you're doing great and will reach your goal in no time.
Karen - will you be able to post or send someone a text just to let us know that everything goes fine w/ the surgery. When you're all recovered, you can give us details and PICS, but we will all be thinking of you when you have the surgery and we'll want to know you're OK. I'm going to re-do the past week on the jogging program - it has gotten too hard too fast, so I'll go back and do this week's intervals again. Tammy - you've inspired me to go low-carb - well, just for the next 2 weeks. I know I won't drop as much weight as you have, but I know it will help me get closer to my goal. Then if I keep up my exercise and my eating habits more focused on a healthy balanced diet, I should lose the last few pounds over the summer.

Kayla-you should be PROUD to post those numbers, you are doing great!
Jenna-WTG on the workouts!! Karen-oh how we all have parts of our body we hate. I have big legs-meaning even when I'm at my "skinniest" they still seem big to me, I always wish I had the skinny model legs, lol, but instead I have more like an athlete's legs minus the muscles, hehe. My mom left today and of course in the couple of days she was here, we ate BAD....IHOP, chinese food, etc. |

Thanks for saying you have a spot you hate too. I wish I could have a small waist but due to my large rib cage it will never happen. Why can't we be perfect like VS models??? Not asking much, right? So it is pouring rain and dark and gloomy here. UGH makes me sleepy! I have to get things in order around here the next two days...Laundry, cooking, cleaning, all supplies in order so that it makes it easier for dh while I am out of order. I told him tongiht we need to have a talk about my recovery...He said you will be fine in a few days. Did I tell yall there is a baseball game the day after my surgery?? I am like okay what am I supposed to do with Riley...He said it is only an hour! I can't make him understand I can't function the day after surgery! I am not allowed to lift her and as mnost of you know they want us to lift them ALL THE TIME> So anyway hopefully tonight I can talk to him and explain how serious this is. GEEZ! Men! So as soon as Riles goes down I am off to start on things around here. I am dreading it! I hate housework and laundry the cooking part is fine but I hate the clean up from that! I got up this morning and made dh sausage and eggs and biscuits. I told him I was going to baby him the next few days. He just smiled. Now maybe he will return the favor? |

Karen- Everything is going to work out great. Darren is so supportive that I know he will step up and do what needs to be done. Any word on the job front?
Just got back from out of town late yesterday. Too much to catch up on. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to shock my body into losing a bit more weight and to help get myself motivated. I am going to try to reduce my carbs and eat lean protein and lots of veggies and water for the next 2 weeks. I leave May 10 for the beach and I would like just a smidge more confidence. Then, when I get back I am going to add back in fruit and more dairy ( I am not eliminating them now, just limiting then A LOT) Anyways, that's what is going on with me. Off to make a ticker.. |

Morning ladies. I will post to everyone in a bit. I need to go workout and take some benefibre in my coffee. I have been soooo constipated again on lowcarbing, and I can hardly go each day(I could probably poop 5 lbs out if I could ). I haven't taken any benefibre since today cause worried about carbs in it but it says 0 sugar and I'm just going to try my luck with it today and hope I don't gain. I only lost 1 lb over the weekend cause I messed up and went over my carbs with my crystal light. I thought the entire jug was 1 carb and it was like 4-6 and I gained 2 lbs
Kelly that is great you want to low carb, but I don't want to discourage you. As soon as you cut your carb during those 2 weeks and then stop lowcarbing and "eat healthy" you might be surprised your going to gain all the weight you will/have lost over those 2 weeks back within 2-3 days. If your going to do anyone of the Atkins phases, follow it and stick to it. I have lots of good info in the thread i posted, it will be unlocked once I have the rest of the info organized. Doing low carb is a way of life, and really might not work the way you think it will. For example look at what I just wrote above about me thinking my crystal light was 1 carb for the 2L jug, well it made me gain 2 lbs over the weekend. Then yesterday I had to drop my carbs WAY back to lose those again, from 20 - 10 carbs. I was in such a bad mood about it all day . I wish you all the best whichever Diet you choose to do. Just remember our bodies burn "carbs" first and once those are cut off it turn to our backup fuel store "fat". I just don't want you to think "Oh the Atkins doesn't work", you have to "stick with it and follow it FOR LIFE!" If you need to talk you can pm.

Kelly- I would suggest reading some info about the South Beach diet. It has an induction phase similar to Atkins but it only lasts 2-4 weeks to jump start your body and then you add back in the healthy carbs and lose at a more reasonable rate of 1 to 2 lbs a week like WW. Basically you just avoid white potatoes, white rice, white pasta, white bread, etc.. You eat lots of fiber and grains with your meat, fruits and veggies and good dairy. HTH

Kelly/Christie - That sounds like the south beach might be the way to go, I dont know ANYTHING about SB diet so I hope Christie can help you out some. Dont get discouraged, I just didnt want you to get

Christie - Great job!!! I haven't been doing so well. My sister (that had surgery) is at 219!!! Down from 375 in less than 10 months. Dh and I are about to sign up at the gym her and her BF go to. I will HAVE to make some routine work. |

Cassie that is awesome about your sister! Watch out she is coming to catch up and may be the THIN sister!!! She is doing great!!! Okay have a great attitude about the gym. This is a GOOD thing. It is truly a fun time once you get there!! You have to figure out when it will work out in your schedule so you can make this work. Okay is there anyway you can go mornings? Or during lunch? Work it out where you can have 30 extra minutes to shower real fast at the gym and get back to work? Or see if you can work through lunch break and leave early so you don't have to cut into your time with Riley?? What is the plan??
Christie- you are going to be the BOMB in your new suit! I can't even think of a suit right now. My tum is just not CUTE....But maybe by July I will have it better when we go to the beach. This whole surgery thing has been stressing me out so I have been eating! EVERYTHING! Oh and low carbs is never an option for me. I can't do it! You girls are STRONG! Tam hope you have a great workout. Raining here and I have so much to do but can't get it in gear..............UGh I better get off here and get started...MIL will be here tomorrow night to spend the night!! My ticker is freaking me OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Karen - they are currently building a new location on my way home from work. I am currently working 9hr Mon-Thurs & 4hrs on Friday. I may ask my boss if I can do 8 1/2 Mon-Thur & 6 on Friday's...That way I can get to the Gym around 4:15 and still get Rhylee by 5 or 5:15...That's only like 30 min of work out time though.
