Krissy- Yes. Neither medically ness. I was a young pg mom at 21 and wasn't very educated in the way of labor and delivery so I did every my dr told me to b/c I thought he had my best interest at heart. *insert eye roll here* I started labor with Stasia at about 8am. I went into my drs and I was already 3cm. So I was admitted to the L&D. They started me on pitocin (which now I would say HECK NO.... shoot I was already in labor and didn't even need it!) and artifically broke my water (I'd say no to this one too!) at about 11am. Well about 7pm rolls around (mind you I've slept most the time during the labor and was lying in the bed) they check me and I was only 5cm. Dr says I am not progressing and tells me I need a c-section. I was DEVISTATED. Silly me agrees, not knowing I still had a good 15hrs left before they would warrant that b/c of the broken waters, and she was born just after 11pm........

Jump to my pg with Noah.... I had a m/w this time and planned a VBAC homebirth. I woke up at about 5am and couldn't sleep. Felt strange, so I went and watch about an hour of tv, than went back to bed. I layed down for a little while then got up to go pee and my water broke (I must have a thing with going into labor in the morning). I labored at home for about 16hrs. Was a 7cm when she checked me last, but Noah's h/r was going too high with the contrax so after monitoring me for an hour she thought it best to go to the hospital *insert melt down here*. We get there and I am in some serious labor by this point with contrax 3min apart and lasting 30secs long. They hooked me up to IVs and his h/r was fine. I must have been dehydrated. The nurse at some point finds out that I had a prior c-section and says "Oh we don't do VBAC here, you're going to have to have another c-section." WHAT?! What is this 1980's?! I was ANGRY b/c I just did all that laboring for nothing! Well, the nurse leaves the room b/c she can see I am VERY close. I told my m/w that I had to push and she says...." Girl, you push! But be sure not to do it when the nurse is in the room! We need to get that baby out before they go and cut you open!" I pushed maybe 3-4x. They rushed me back there to cut me open. I found it amusing that they had a hard time pulling him out b/c he was ALREADY IN THE BIRTH CANAL!!!!! Friggin morons!! So that's my fun story...... I am trying for VBA2C. Since I have not had a c-section for medical reasons....I am a great candidate and I found a new OB/GYN who is well know for his success in VBAC and VBA2C. Luckily... the hospital he goes to also supports it!

Stacey- your birth stories suck! What pandemonium. I would be so pissed about laboring that long and then finding out that you can't have the birth you wanted. That's my fear now...I just hope things can progress as I'd like them to. I know all about Murphy's Law, though, so I'm trying to be flexible should we have to get him out some other way. My body just doesn't seem to know that it needs to be having contractions! Fingers crossed that this little one gets to have the VBA2C.

Still here, still nothing. I am spotting this morning, but I did have an internal yesterday and it is brown blood, so I'll keep an eye on it. It's supposed to rain here pretty heavily today so no walking outside. I guess I'll just make a track out of the front of the house and walk it.

Jo--Hoping today is the day!!!!!!

Stacy--Thanks for sharing your stories; it actually helps to make me even more steadfast in what I want. I am so sorry that it turned out that way for you; hopefully this one will be the way you want!

Jo-Thinking of you!

Stacey-Don't you have your beta today?

One last rant about the ILs (ok probably not really!). I seriously can't believe them. My first shower is the 13th. My friend emailed to say none of DH's family has RSVP'd yet! How rude! I told her that I'm sorry as they were here this weekend and they talked about it so assumed they had responded and they are coming. I'm going to let DH handle them as it is so irritating that they don't have the common courtesy to RSVP.

Heidi- I am always amazed at the amount of ppl who don't RSVP one way or the other. It's obvious they've never had to plan a party or buy provisions for guests. The wedding guides always say to assume that 10% of your invite list will be no shows. That's pretty sad. What's even worse is when someone says they WILL come and then they don't show. I had three "friends + guest" do that at our reception. That's 6 ppl that we paid to eat and drink all night and they never showed. I'm sure we had others who didn't RSVP who took their place, but still...common courtesy!

Jo-At our wedding his fmaily threw a fit and wanted the extended family invited. So we did against our better judegment and they were the ones that said they were coming and then never showed! We didn't have those issues from anyone else or at least people let me know if something crazy came up. I agree unless you've ever had to plan these types of things people just don't get it!

Heidi- No the RE wanted me to wait until 12DPO. I bet it's b/c the numbers are higher by then. Esp since I got my 1st BFP at 8DPO. So, going in tomorrow at 8:30. I'm excited! I'll get the results back the same day. Sorry about the ILs. I don't seem to have many issues with mine, but every now and then there's something.

Stacey-Well not much longer to wait. I didn't have my first beta with the RE until 19DPO with my injectable cycle. They make you wait 17-18 days to be sure they get an accurate result. It's weird because when DH and I first got together 9 years ago I thought they were very similar to my family. It wasn't until we got engaged and starting the wedding planning that it became obvious there were big differences as to what I was exposed to and what he was growing up.

Heidi- Well I sure am glad the dr is letting me get the beta done before AF. I have no doubt that the numbers will be fine.

Jo- Any updates???

Here's the test from this evening.

Krissy- I'm doing ok, my job is getting alot harder so by time I sleep off some of the achiness its back to work. I have no will to do anything anymore. Tried to get a note for lighter duty but the doctor I saw is a witch and says that if i'm not lifting over 30 pounds she can't do anything. But apparently lifting 10-25 pounds for eight hours straight, not being allowed bottled water on the floor, and being on my feet CONSTANTLY is ok. I friggin hurt and wound up cursing at my boss last night. I'm due in 11 weeks. They need to let the hell up. That would be the edited version of it all. If you've ever gone into wal-mart later at night and seen the pallets all over, imagine doing 6 of those stacked up to your chest filled with boxes of six shampoos, or 8 12-packs of soap. It's alot on your body if you aren't pregnant. I do 2 ppls worth of work every night. And I know it's 2 ppls work because on fridays I have help and we still barely get done, I can walk the next day however.

Stacey- Congrats!

Amber--I am so sorry that your job sucks; you need to see another doctor and explain the situation. I just don't think that it sounds healthy; especially since they don't allow you bottled water! No wonder you are beat; I can barely even lift a case of bottled water at the grocery store to get it into my cart! Maybe you should just lie to the doctor and tell them that you are having back spasms or something in order to get a note. I don't like your doctor, that seems so strange and cruel.

Jo--Still thinking about you and that stubborn baby! Since he is waiting so long to makes his journey, maybe it will go really fast when it does happen

Stacey-I definitely see that line, too! Congrats!

Question for those with kids--is it at all normal to suddenly have first trimester symptoms all over again in the third? I am 33 wks, and in the last few days all of my food aversions from the first tri have returned, and I have had morning sickness the last few mornings. It feels just like it did in the beginning. Is this normal? I took my temp, and I am not sick. The nausea and the time of the symptoms (middle of the night through about noon) is exactly the same as before. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem. It is much worse having morning sickness when you are as big as a house! Ugh!

SO I went to my friends youngest sons 1st b-day party. I think DH is a little less confident now that he's been mobbed by 1 year olds. It was cute.

We are measuring about 1 week ahead so my little booger must be getting his grow on. The glucose test was relatively painless. They offered me "orange, grape, or sprite". I took the "sprite" and it was pretty funkyyyyyyyyy. I'm up to 16 pounds weight gain.

Tralalalala. My life is boring. However my best friend from Charleston just started at Clemson(YUCK!!) which means she's only 45 minutes away as opposed to 3 hours!!! That could be fun.

Eh................... I need a life.
