Chrystie- they are pretty darned cute!

So I got my beta numbers back:

1st HCG-139 Prog-39.1
2nd HCG-671 Prog- 33.4
Now, there was more like 91 hours between the tests, instead of 48. I think the HCG is ok, but I'm a little paranoid about the progesterone going down. But I can't find any info on that anywhere. *sigh* Maybe I should go back again tomorrow? I have a standing order to be tested every three days .

Claire--I know nothing about the numbers, but am sending you good sticky vibes! I do know how frustrating it is to wait around; try and keep your mind off of it as much as you can.

Claire-Looks good to me. Not real sure on the progestrone but if you remember from the IF stuff it does fluctuate I think at times. I don't think that is significant enough to be concerned but it probably wouldn't hurt to go again since you have the standing order.

Krissy-You are using CBR right for the blood cord? I just finished our stuff up and they are sending out the packet. I remember you mentioning your OB charges an additional fee. The email CBR sent me says they will reimburse up to $125 if the doctor charges. Didn't know if you were aware of it or not.

Krissy- I was just looking and I can't believe how close you are to delivery. I bet you are so excited that it won't be long before you see your precious little boys face

Heidi--I think I may have mentioned that some doctors charge. My doctor doesnt, so it shouldnt be a problem. I am concerned, however, that my hospital might (apparently I get a seperate bill from my doctor and the hospital). When you get there, they have to take a maternal blood draw which has to be sent in with the cord blood, and I am concerned that they may charge me something outrageous for that. I am going to check now that you mention it...

Chrystie--I know, I am MORE than ready to meet this little kicker! On the one hand, it seems so close, and on the other hand, staying preggo for another month seems like forever!

Krissy-Wasn't sure. My OB's office told me Friday they don't charge and all I need to do is bring in the kit. Not sure about my hospital either as I didn't think about that part since they do that blood draw. But I know my insurance covers all other aspects of the delivery so I guess if I get charged for that one thing I'm not going to sweat as it can't be that much as I see through my insurance what gets paid for regular blood draws and what offices charge. By the way I think I forgot to post that I'm glad everything checked out ok yesterday with the doctor.

Rhea- Those numbers look perfect!! If the prog. goes below 20 than you should be concerned. BTW I am assuming these dates but I put in the Beta calculator that there was 4 days between the draw and it gave me a 1.76 days doubling time. FANTASTIC!!! Looks like you have a sticky bean! Congrats!

Stacy- Thanks.
Well, my NP FINALLY called me. Talk about a B! She told me that my progesterone was dropping (yeah, I knew that already) and asked if I was taking the prometrium. I told her no and why and she got totally defensive with me and told me I needed to be on it and how she's "saved" some pregnancies with the prometrium. *sigh* Now I dont' know WHAT to do.

So like an idot I called the new OB's office-who I've never seen. OMG I'm so embarrassed. The secretary asked me 4 times "so you AREN'T a patient?"

I guess maybe I should just take it. Everyone tells me it can't hurt. uggg

Claire--I have not idea about the prometrium (although if it can't hurt, maybe it is not a bad idea to take it), BUT, you have GOT to find a good doctor to get in and see. One who you like and feel comfortable with. If it is your new OB office, I would be honest and tell them what is going on, and that you really need to see your new doctor immediately (for peace of mind if nothing else) I have a hard time being assertive, and I stayed with my sadistic b*#^ doctor through the fourth month before I finally switched. My new doctor saw me the day after I called him, got me an immediate u/s, and I really believe that he is the reason that things have gotten better. I also think that there is a pretty legitimate chance that the problems I had early on were caused or exaagerated by the first doctor. She was really hard to get in to see, which also made me much more nervous. If I have a problem now, he gets me right in, which has cut back on my anxiety level. It is important, and you are important, and no matter how early, the pregnancy is important. The last thing you need is someone making it scary when it doesnt have to be, or blowing you off. You deserve to be coddled just a little bit.
Anyways, I obviously have strong opinions, so just ignore me if this isn't relevant.

Thanks Christie! That is what I just decided *gulp*. I had to ask my Daddy and his advice was if something was to happen, I'd at least know that I did what I was told, not disobeyed.

Krissy- Thanks, you are 100% correct. I have a good referral for this Dr.-she delivered my niece. I tried to tell the secreatary that but I was stuttering and sounding stupid......and I AM assertive-LOL.

Good morning everyone. I just read the 3 pages I was behind on and I don't remember squat so I'll just jump in.

Jen- Did you post the u/s pics anywhere? I looked but I'm half asleep still so I could be missing it.

Krissy- I dunno. You just needed a response in my brain.

Everyone else:

Claire - you did the right thing. Prometrium cannot hurt the pregnancy - it can sustain it. I've learned alot in the past few years, and this is something that I am 100% positive of.

Amber - I didn't post them yet b/c you can't really see much of him. I think I am going to wait until our next u/s.

Amber--Have you been working crazy hours, or are you feeling down? I know it is just typing, but I swear, you actually sound tired!

Jen--When is your next u/s? I hope it goes better this time. Was he moving around a lot, too much, not enough? Or was it just positioning?

So, people keep telling me I haven't "dropped" yet. Whatever! Looking at the belly pic's I posted over the weekend; how much lower do you suppose he can get? Do you all think he has dropped? Apparently people think they can tell by looking at me, but at work they all see me with a lot more clothing on than in the pic's. I think my legs will go completely numb if he drops any further!

Krissy and Amber- You will know when your baby drops. It feels like you can suddenly breathe again because he isn't all cramed into your lungs anymore.
